Conversation about smoking
Today I had conversation with Anas (from Morocco), Jav and Arqavan (from Iran), Dacets and Mohmad about smoking, its reasons at first time for everybody who starts to smoke and solutions how to avoid it. It was interesting conversation and very useful topic. We are agreed in opinion that big influence especially for teenagers has Media and it is very difficult to stop smoking. What is the solution that to avoid smoking for young people? It should acts strong government program in cooperation with Media for create positive and prestige image of healthy person. Famous people should show good example too.
Smoking as a trap.
From the extreme north to the extreme south : the story of a journey
Hi everyone, Today I want to tell you about a particular trip that I made in August 2013 As you know, I live in Tangier which is a city located in the extreme north of Morocco, and one day, I wondered why won’t I go to the extreme south and cross vertically all my country using my car? What will be the reason to not take that risk and discover a part of my country that I ignore completely?
First of all, I asked some friends to come with me, but they refused, everyone gave me its own excuse, then I asked my parents, who refused too because they found that the trip is too long and the risk that my car breakdowns in the middle of the desert is too high (due to high temperature which could reach easily 45 °C and sand storms!!! ) and there is no breakdown recovery service there!!
I decided then to take the risk and to travel alone, so I checked my car during one day with a friend who works as a mechanic, and I calculated the distance to cross which was about 2000 Kilometers (one way only), so I wil need 2 days to arrive to my destination
The next day, I went out from home at 6 am in the morning and crossed the following itinerary (Tangier-Rabat-Casablanca-Marrakech-Agadir-Tiznit). In the second day I crossed more than 1000 Kilometers of arid desert where I faced many sand storms that could have damaged my car at any time but I was lucky because nothing bad happened. After that perilous journey I arrived to my final destination “Dakhla” which is” a city located in the extreme south of Morocco, not far from the Mauritanian borders.
During my one week stay in Dakhla and its outskirts too many things caught my attention, such as, sand everywhere in the street, many camels crossing the highway, many sandy mountains in the hinterland, sand storms, beautiful beaches where many tourists come to practice windsurfing, and native people who speak a strange Arabic accent called “hassaniya” and wear some beautiful and traditional clothes, I was also impressed by the local gastronomy (The Tajine of octopus and the minced meat of camel are the most popular dishes !!!).
I’ll never forget this trip and I hope to redo it again
I hope that you have appreciated my article, please correct/improve anything about it, and feel free to ask whatever you want to know!
It was interesting adventurist trip with short but informative description. What city has the particular history spirit? Dakhla, isn’t? What place has impressed the most?
Julian Treasure: How to speak so that people want to listen
This is such an amazing video for everyone! One more tip for you: don’t be quiet or noisy. Find a balance, it will help you. Try to listen to the speaker, do not interrupt, it annoys. Be confident!
A useful video that some people sometimes should be more positive and mainly honest with ourselves.

My reflection to conversation with Hassan
Great Reflection Vika! This is a very effective and efficient way to receive feedback on your speaking, while continue to develop your language. One part of your spoken language that you can focus on improving is your pronunciation. Specifically, you can improve your pronunciation of the letters TH, especially when this combination occurs at the beginning of a word.
Keep up the great work Vika!
Hello Vika, thank you for your reflection! A little tip: I guess that it will be better to say: Just now I’ve had a conversation with ……. (Present Perfect Tense). Good luck!
Thanks.
