“It’s Dorian isn’t it. I’d be careful Aphroditie kids have this thing where they have to break a person heart and with a roommate like Kol? If they get along i’d be wary. You never know.” Sam shrugged to Rita. “Hey how old are you? When’s your birthday?” 

Sam didn’t know much about Felix. “All I know is the guy is Zelda’s cousin. They are actually descendants from the titans. Even though the god of death has a horrible track record, their mother the river or whatever totally powerful it even scares the big man.” Sam grinned not gonna say Zeus was scared of anything out loud. “Hypnos put him to sleep at one point.”

Sam wasn’t too focused on taking about who his sister was dating ultimately it was her decision. But if she had anyone break her heart or anyone who she wanted punched. Sam would do it. “Just be careful you know.” He shrugged, “People suck.”

Rita smiled and slightly blushed. “Actually it isn’t. I see Dorian as a great guy don’t get me wrong, but I think he’s too magnificent. I’ve also heard rumors that Adam was crushing on him.” Was it really necessary to be this honest? You don’t have to reveal everyone’s secrets. “Oh, I’m twenty-one and my birthday is on February 7th, you?” Common knowledge was to learn when someone’s birthday was right?

From what Rita has seen, Felix seemed like a nice person. She hasn’t struck up a conversation with him though, maybe a glance at him. “Is that why the two of them are tall? Well, compared to me being only 5′3″ they seem pretty high up there.” Most of the people here were tall compared to Rita, she probably got her shortness from her mother. “I’ve heard the stories, kind of interesting if you think about it.”

“Hey, know that if anyone tries to hurt one of my family members I’ll take a long time to forgive them.” If anyone was trying to hurt Sam she’d meet up with them personally. “Yeah, I know. Sometimes I’ve learned that the hard way.” She thought back to memories that weren’t very friendly. “Now, how about you? Do you have a significant other?” she said trying to lighten up the mood.

The demi-monster chuckled at her mock threat. “Oh I’m sure he’d love to go with you even if I were treating him like a king,” he teased as Apophis lifted his head out of the tank, begging for scratches. “He adores being pampered by people.”

He silently appraised her outfit as he moved to sit on his bed, nodding with approval. Simple, but it flattered her figure and probably kept her quite warm. “By the way, I love your scarf. Fashionable and practical, the perfect blend!” Dorian motioned behind him to his closet. “I have a few of my own but sometimes I prefer just a regular scarf I can tie in different knots.”

Ah, but they weren’t here to talk fashion. He had to remind himself of that. They were here to work!

“But I digress. You’re here for the riddle, not to get compliments on your outfit.” He pulled a notebook off the bedside table and snagged a pen before winking at her. “If you think the clue means a cigarette I think you’re right. The only other  thing Alan ever has in his pockets besides alcohol is something to smoke.” Chuckling, Dorian flipped open the notebook and began to scribbled down their ideas.

“Besides, it’s the only inanimate thing I can think of with an actual butt. Besides a gun, which isn’t really used for fun anyway. The question becomes, if that’s truly what it is, where do we find it? I’m afraid I don’t smoke, and I doubt Alan would give us one of his packs.”

Rita reached over to scratch him below the neck, it seemed like his favorite part to be pet. After a bit she pulled her hand back and sat down. “By the way, thank you for the compliment. You look as magnificent as always.’ She replies. It was a true, well known fact that Dorian could make outfits that rivaled the children of Aphrodite, or at least that’s what her and Sam had been talking about for a while. In her opinion his ideas were was better.

“Ah yes, the riddle. It seems that there are a few more than one now, but we’ll do just fine.” Rita had remembered the beginning of the month like it was just yesterday and couldn’t believe that it was already nearing a close.  “The other few clues seem more complex though. All the item are pretty simple and I think we’ll only need to show IDs for the first clue.” 

She had all of them sorted out regardless. “The first one we know is cigarettes, the second is probably a teddy bear. Third has to be coffee, not sure what kind though. Finally, this one took me the longest time to solve but I believe it may be popcorn.” Out of breath she smiled. “Did I say too much? Or do you think it may be something else? If you want we can debate this on the way to a store or something like that.” Rita got up and said, “Ready to get going?”

Having finished putting the final touches on his outfit (he’d dyed streaks into his hair for this!) Dorian winked kohl-lined eyes at his reflection. He looked stunning, if he did say so himself! He and Rita had spoken a couple of times in the past, and he enjoyed her unique sense of humor. For a child of Ares, she was rather level-headed. When they’d been partnered up for the scavenger hunt, the demi-monster had been delighted.

He just needed to look his best, and that wouldn’t happen without the snake ear-cuff his mother had given him. The piece of jewelry always brought him luck, and went fashionably with anything, so Dorian usually wore it whenever he needed an extra bit of confidence.

But somehow he seemed to have misplaced it! Digging about on his jewelry-strewn dresser, he frowned when he couldn’t see it. He’d left it in the little ring dish yesterday! Or at least, he thought he had. Pursing his lips, Dorian began sifting through the various rings, necklaces, bracelets, and so on that littered the wooden surface. It wouldn’t do to be late but he so wanted this adventure to go well.

After a few minutes of searching, he finally spotted the tell-tale silver curls and gemstone eyes of his cuff.

“A-ha! There you are!” Plucking up the errant piece of jewelry, Dorian quickly affixed it to his ear and stood up straight. Time to go meet his partner!

Of course, that was the moment he heard a firm knock on his door. Oops! Perhaps he took a bit longer than he thought getting ready…did Rita even know where his room was? With his luck it was Sophronia freaking out about what to wear to her meeting with Amethyst, even though he’d spent hours yesterday helping her decide on an outfit.

“Oh dear. To whomever is rap-rapping on my chamber door, I’ll be there in a moment!”

Giving one last critical look at his reflection, Dorian strode over to the door and pulled it open, his signature smile already plastered on his face. When he noticed who it was, it broadened into something more genuine. If a bit sheepish.

“Ah, Rita! So sorry to keep you waiting, munchkin, would you like to come in? My room is as good a place as any to discuss this clue and Apophis already nice and settled in his tank!”

Having an actual good night of sleep was very beneficial for Rita, most of the time she’d go to sleep late and wake up late. Last night was different, she went to bed early and woke up on time. She had to have her beauty rest when meeting up with the one the only, Dorian. His style was noteworthy, and showed how similar he was to his partner Kol. Rita enjoyed Dorian’s style far more though.

Trying to figure out what to wear was the true struggle, she had to make sure that he didn’t dis her ideas of ‘fashion’, not that he’d do that anyways. He is a  very agreeable man who also has a killer sense of humor. She opened up her closet, looking for a comfortable, casual, and yet pretty looking outfit. A dark purple dress? No, the color didn’t suit her that much and she wasn’t in the mood for a dress. A light sky blue shirt with black leggings? Not that either, the weather seemed too cold to her. 

She just couldn’t decide. She wasn’t the  best in picking outfits, especially since she felt that summer was only yesterday. She looked around in the deeper parts of her closet and found something nice. A normal white tank top to wear in case she heats up (which probably won’t happen) covered with a cool grey cable knit sweater that her younger sister gave her when she was eighteen. It actually surprised her to see that it still fit, it was extremely warm regardless.  A dark pair of jeans, cute pair of boots that go halfway up the calf and (her favorite) a beautiful infinity scarf that her mother gave to her a while back. 

She checked over herself once, twice, even three times over in the mirror just to make sure it looked good. It seemed like an outfit that Dorian would approve of. Not too fancy, not too casual. 

Now, she felt ready to get going. Grabbing a purse and a piece of paper with the clue on it she set off. If she remembered where his room was it would take no time at all. She made sure that she wasn’t distracted and wandered over to his dorm.

Knocking on the door she waited for a bit, hearing his response made her laugh a bit. As she said earlier, a great sense of humor.

As he opened the door and asked her if she wanted to come in she felt as if she had to reply with, “I’d love to. The weather is slightly cold and all.” She walked in and looked around. “Why hello Apophis, lovely to see you.” Turning to Dorian she said jokingly, ”Are you treating him well? I might have to kidnap him if not.” It wasn’t common knowledge that Rita loved snakes but Dorian was one of the few that knew.

“I think know exactly what the clue is, mainly because I’ve heard the riddle before.” She says with a glad tone of voice.

Oscar nodded, “Its pretty well kitted out. We do have a good stock of medicinal herbs there, planted them myself.” He was slowly starting to realize that he had one job in HBI and it was planting flowers.

“Hmm, Mercury, good choice.” He smiles, “Did you know Mercury has a rotation cycle that is completely different from all the other planets?” Ok, so add useless space facts to his quiver of useless talents.

“Hmmm. I’d say my perfect day would have to be one that’s warm, but not humid with lots of sun. I’d say get all my friends together for a picnic, maybe some music.” He shrugged, “Kinda lame I know but, what can I say? I’m a positive guy.”

He tapped his lips with one finger and thought, “Hmmm… If you had a million drachmas, what would you spend it on and why?”

Maybe it was because as a child Rita enjoyed learning about the solar system and the stars that she was attached to Mercury. “Really? well, that goes to show how much I know about my favorite planet.” She replied. Sure, Rita liked astrology but she just didn’t have time to study more than a few basic facts about the universe. She would have become an astrology teacher if given enough years of schooling.

“So your perfect day would be something like today? If only you got all of your friends to be here.” His idea seemed pretty good, more planned out than hers. “I’d probably say the same thing.” If only she got out more it would have been better.

She thought about this one not very sure, but one idea struck her. “Now this may surprise you, but I’d want to buy a gift for everyone here. Even if I don’t know them very well I’d just want everyone to feel included.” Rita said, she was rude at times but she does have her good moments. “What about you?”

“Nah thanks though.” Alan wouldn’t be too happy if Rita threw books at him. Sam on the other hand, he and Alan had an understanding and when the other did something stupid the other one was allowed to give them shit for it. It was only a matter of time before they’d get their revenge. 

Sam nodded and shrugged. “Loren’s a nerd, and Selene is too. I pretty sure together they have the highest IQ here. it’s only time before they take over the world.” Sam laughed joking.

“Assuming you’re not going to break up any relationships, and you swing multiple ways I’m just gonna list the whole personnel. Amethyst? Ari? Deryn?” Sam wasn’t going to admit to anything before Rita did so Deryn was technically on the list. “Dorian, who’s sense of fashion I think rivals the Aphrodite kids, although don’t tell them I said that. Florence, isn’t that a place in Italy? Are they Italian? Kol, although come on really? that guy with the really long name, I think he goes by Adam. Stavros, ever wondered if he’s gotten called star? Ace? Felix, James, who’s kinda a douche. Sophie, Balo, who’s again amazing and a ball of sunshine, Ellie, who if you like her I got you covered there.” He didn’t need to add the fact that he was kind of still might be in love with her.

“Serissa, Collen, Oscar, Wesley, Austin. So I’m assuming I named them, who were they?”

“Fine with me, I just want to see if you can guess who it is.” What would she say if he actually guessed correctly? Oh well, she’d have to wait and see who Sam guesses.

“Not Amethyst or Ari. I don’t think I’ve met Deryn personally but they seem like a good person. As I was saying not them.” Wasn’t Deryn Sam’s partner or something? Rita thought that the two of them had a thing. Something was there. “Not Dorian or Adam, Dorian is too amazing and I see Adam as a brother. Same with Stavros, and on that note he has sometimes been called star when we were at Camp Half Blood with Wes. I haven’t met Florence to develop an emotional attachment to her. No, don’t worry it isn’t Kol.” Rita hadn’t known that there were that many people here but, the more the merrier.

“Ace seems pretty nice, I’d say almost the same thing with Felix. That would be kind of weird, you do realize James is related to us right?” She needed to meet up with James only because she felt that anyone related to her, she must meet. “Not Sophie, she is wonderful though. Neither is it Balo. As adorable as Ellie might be it isn’t her.” 

Did Sam know everyone here? “It isn’t Serissa or Collen. I see Oscar as a close friend and the same with Wes. I’m not sure who Austin is.”

Sam had named them, “I’ll narrow it down it is either, Felix or Dorian." That seemed much easier for him to guess.

“I’ve heard of Amethyst, I have never met her though. If she ever wants to come up to the infirmary, its always good to have extra hands.” That room kept him surprisingly busy, even when it was empty. There was restocking of tools, making more ambrosia and nectar, cleaning everything, making sure everything was all set. That and healing any sparring wounds. 

Not to mention dealing with poor Selene. Loren’s issue was all in his head, not something Oscar couldn’t help with. That and he’d healed more burns on Florence than he could count since she was very very NOT fireproof when suppressing her dragon side.

“So…” Oscar took another sip of his drink and thought of more questions, “If you could go to any planet in the solar system and not die, which one would you do to. And Earth doesn’t count.”

“I’ll let her know. She always wants to help people get better, that fact makes her a good person.” Anyone who cares for the health of another person is Rita’s image of the perfect person. “I’m guessing that the infirmary has all kinds of salves and herbs right? If so then she’d probably spend all of her time there.”

She thought for a moment. “If I’d be able to go to any planet with the privilege of not dying, I’d want to go to Earth, but you said that isn’t an option so Mercury. I have no idea why but that planet just sticks out to me.” Wasn’t Mercury the Roman version of Zeus? Maybe that could be why she though of it so much. Who knows.

Now, her turn to think of a question. “What is your ideal perfect day like and what plans would you make for that specific day?” Sort of a lame question but the answer would be somewhat good.

“Oh yeah, I’ve known Alan for like ever, and Zee well they are gonna be a thing soon and if they aren’t i’m gonna have to chase Alan around and throw relationship books at him.” Sam laughed at the idea but it also wasn’t bad. Alan would get hit in his face like always, and Sam would laugh. 

Sam nodded not really recognizing the names. “Haven’t really heard of them but its a big place. Loren and Selene are actually going out too. Let’s see who else. Ches and Ivan, Ches is always breaking into his room, they are gonna be a thing. At least so I’ve heard.”

“What about you? Do you have someone who’s caught your eye?” Sam grinned ready to name everyone he knew to try and guess this.

“Will you need help chasing him around? I’d gladly join if you’d want.” she said jokingly. Obviously he wasn’t serious, unless he was. In that case he had good intentions. 

Rita knew that her partner was with someone, it never bothered her. She just didn’t really know what her name was or where to really find her. “Loren and Selene seem pretty nice. I can’t say that I’ve met either of them though. Like you said, they are going out but that’s all I really know about them.”

That was a question she never would have though that Sam would ask her. Not that she’d give the answer away so quickly. “I don’t think I’d give you the answer to that so easily. I want to see who you think it might be, I’ll give you however many guesses you need. Don’t worry, they are at HBI.” Rita honestly wanted to know who Sam thinks that it could possibly be.

Sam hadn’t gone to college he wasn’t the type as he liked to say. Sure his grades said otherwise but the long list of moving schools probably didn’t say ‘i’d be good for your school’. But his last name, Sansby. That said money and that was what most schools cared about anyway. Sam had only recently began to discover how much he was worth.

Although his sixteen year old self started to suspect something. most people didn’t go through what he had at 15 and then at 16 go to a gala. Or have dinner with the president. Money played a factor there. He still didn’t know exactly how much money though.

“Kol’s a whore, we can start with that common knowledge. I’m pretty sure they’ve tried to get into everyone’s pants.” Sam laughed brushing off horrible memories. Even his partner didn’t know the full truth on that one. “What might not be common knowledge is that Alan and Zelda, they have a thing.” Sam grinned to Rita.

Compared to Sam, Rita probably didn’t have as much of an eventful time before coming to HBI. All Rita had really done was go to school, pick fights, cause a bit of drama and all those good things. It really wasn’t too bad but hey, it was pretty nice. 

“So I’ve heard.” Kol was a name that she’s heard floating around and knew exactly who it was. The second part seemed pretty obvious but she still shuddered slightly, thankfully it didn’t happen to her. “Really now? They do seem pretty adorable with each other. Their personalities fit together perfectly.” Rita hadn’t known Zelda well but knew that she made up some important rules and helped people during her time here.

“About couples, I know that Amethyst and Sophronia are together. I think the two of them are absolutely adorable.” Rita couldn’t be happier for her, it seemed like it made Amethyst stretch out of her comfort zone and actually show her true feelings. “That’s all I can think of currently. If you have other information I’d gladly hear it.”

“Oh my god I know! The worse part about being in a private school though and people recognizing my last name was the fake friends who were using me. I can’t even tell you the amount of fights I was in because I told people to go fuck themselves.” Sam laughed grinning to Rita. He didn’t understand why he’d been nervous at first she seemed nice, more like Ari then Ches and Zelda. Cool, not girly and obsessed with clothing like some people, Kol, he knew. 

Sam had never dyed his hair before and he didn’t really try to make his mother mad. “My mom was only mad at me when I got kicked out of school. And when I didn’t get into a college. Well more I didn’t apply to one. And then decided to leave her alone and go to Europe.” Sam paused, he missed his mother so much. Even if she was a bit of an air head. She was smart enough to know when she was being used though and how to protect herself.

Sam guessed it was because of his father she knew how to do this. That and she was a model, an athlete as she liked to say.  Not just a pretty face. “Enough about horrible pasts. Lets talk HBI, god knows this place needs more drama then already exists. Let’s talk shit. Want to talk crushes? Let me tell you I know so much shit about who likes who right now because of Balo, she’s amazing if you haven’t met her yet. Totally worth all the rainbow happy shit.”

“Fake friends. Hmm I could drop so many names right now  from all the kids but I shouldn’t.” Rita knew that Sam was her half-brother but he sure felt like and actual brother to her, almost more of a sibling than her younger sister was. 

The only reason Rita had dyed her hair was because she was going out with friends at the time and they had all stayed up so late that they forgot what they were doing the next day. During that night they all decided to dye their hair exotic colors. Rita picking out dark red and didn’t really think about the consequences. 

Now she was a bit more careful in her decisions and somewhat nicer than before. “It was a blessing when I got excepted into college, even if it was only for half a year. Good thing the college I applied to had a high acceptance rate.”

“Talking HBI would be great. I’d be down for learning who fancies who and any other possible drama going on.” Rita could keep even the darkest of secrets and the worst ones too, she’d be fine with learning a bit more information. “I haven’t met Balo but I have heard of her. She seems like a nice person.”

Oscar took a sip of his soda, “Not much to day really.” He shrugged, “I lived in New Hampshire all my life. My mother’s a florist and I have an adopted little brother who is the sweetest person in the world. My dad’s really not horrible, so that’s also a plus.” He took a pointed skip and glanced out the window, “Thanks Dad.”

“I had a bad monster run in about 2 years ago, and it landed me a spot here. Since then I’ve been healing the wounds our lovely monster hunters drag home.” He paused and ran a hand over his hair, “Y’know, its usually Ari or Sam. Maybe its a Hades/Ares thing. No offense.”

“Florist huh? I didn’t think you meant it literally earlier when you said you’re kind of like a plant.” Rita jokes hoping he understands her humor. “The way you talk about your brother, it’s sweet. And it shows how much you care about him.” She smiles, Rita missed Erin but her mom felt that as if she wasn’t a good older sister to look up to. Seeing Oscar happy with his little brother warmed her heart. 

“That sounds pretty harsh,” Rita says as she takes another sip of her soda. “Healing other’s wounds. Hmm that kind of sounds like my friend Amethyst. I should let you two meet up someday. She’s a daughter of Iaso so that’s probably where she gets it from.” 

She looks around and zones out for a split second, daydreaming. She snaps out of it and replies with, “None taken. It’s almost impossible not to get injured if you are a child of Ares. Stereotypical at least.”

“I have one in my room. I learned to play because being around models who tend not to be the smartest people was a bit boring. Let no one say that smart phones aren’t helpful to kids too. Lots of strategic games.” Sam smiled slightly looking at Rita who seemed to not mind the rambling.

“I grew up in Malibu California you? And I have to ask, how many schools have you been kicked out of because I have at least fifteen under my belt not including the private schools.” He couldn’t be the only Ares kid who got kicked out for fighting and yeah sure fifteen was a lot. But it was probably common for Ares kids.

“Do you wanna play or just talk? Or we could talk shit about other people? Start some rumors and fighting? I used to do that all the time, I do not regret seeing the robotics club and Chemistry club blow up a class room because they were at war.” Sam laughed remembering his junior year.

“Me?” Rita said to herself and ending up replying with “I grew up in Charleston West Virginia.” Pausing, “ And the amount of schools I’ve been kicked out of? I was kicked out of about eleven public schools and private schools were way more since so many kids were stuck up and just plain rude.” She was probably the most aggressive one there and felt that she needed to knock some sense into the kids.

“Talking shit about people is what I’m best at.” She laughed and knew that her personality was sort of twisted for a child of Ares. At one moment she was very kind and loving but at another she would hate on so many people and not regret it one bit. “During my sophomore year I “forgot” to check the label for a chemical and blew up of my lab table and a few others around it.” She remembered that day perfectly but also thought of another thing.

“Did you know that in my senior year I bleached part my hair and dyed it a dark crimson red? I was expelled from school for about two weeks and my mother was so pissed off at me. But that never stopped my behavior.”

Oscar smiled, “Soda is always good.” He took in Rita’s room. It was fairly clean, although it gave him the feeling that it should be messy. It was hard to imagine a child of Ares living in anything less than chaos.

Then again, he had also thought Children of Hephaestus were neat, but Loren’s desk was a disaster and a half.

“So, Rita, tell me about yourself.” He tucked his hands in his pockets, “I don’t know anything about you.”

“One soda coming up.” Rita said as she reached into her cooler and pulled out a can of soda, handing it to Oscar. She grabbed one for herself too and snapped it open. She then decided to reply to what he had said.

“Well, as you know I’m Rita Luoma and I was raised in the state of West Virginia by my mother Ava Luoma and my step-father Damien. I had my little sister Erin, who helped me through all the hard times that I went through. After finishing high-school I went to University for about half a year and then I came here three years ago. I still try to keep in touch with my mother by sending letters to her once in a while and it always warms my heart thinking of her.”

She took a sip of her soda after saying all that. “Now,” Rita said in a somewhat happier voice “How about you?”

“Nice to meet you, Rita.” Oscar smiled softly. It true, he didn’t often seek out conversation, but he’d always enjoyed having people to talk to. Rita certainly seemed nice.

“I tend to have a good effect on the weather,” He said, “The sun likes to follow me.”

Oscar stood and arched his arms above his head to stretch in one fluid motion, “Something to drink sounds lovely. Shall we?”

As Rita got up to take a walk to her room she kept the conversation up. “Same to you, Oscar.” she said with a grin. She needed more people who thought similarly to Oscar. He was very positive which she liked a a lot about his personality. 

When the two of them reached her room Rita had done a little spin and walked towards her cooler. ‘For once once my room is clean,’ she thought to herself. Then asked “Is a can of soda good? If you don’t want one I may be able to make some iced tea.”

“Rita?” Sam smiled leaning against the punching bag. “Hi i’m Sam Sansby. I guess we are related or somethin’.” Sam grinned nervously, he didn’t know what to do not to seem awkward. Of course that was going to make him seem awkward. So all around this just sucked.

“Uh do you play Chess? Or uh, wanna train or fight?” What did someone do or say to someone you were related to but never met? This was awkward.

Sam frowned slightly not sure what to do. “Tell me about yourself, that’s what people do here right? So I’m Samuel Sansby, call me Sam. My mom is Eve Sansby the model, I’ve been across most of Europe, and i’m not sure what to say. My favorite color is red, my favorite animal is a fox.” Sam was talking too much.

“So I’ve heard” Rita smiled back “and as you already know I’m Rita Luoma.” It was somewhat nice to finally meet him and know that he was the closest person to family here.

“Sure, I’d love to play chess.”  Ah, chess it brought back memories of when Rita was younger. “I used to play it with my mother before I came here. Got a board? If not I could go get the one I own.”

“Well, I’m Rita Luoma. My mother is Ava Luoma. My favorite color is green and I think bunnies are adorable.” Rita didn’t mind Sam’s rambling and knew he was just happy to see her.

Oscar hummed in agreement, “Today is a perfect day.” He ran a hand over his hair, “I’m out here to recharge myself, I’m a son of Apollo so I need a lot of sun.”

He laughed, “I’m a little like a plant. I could probably live off water and sunlight.” he opened his eyes to actually look at the person beside him, “I’m Oscar by the way. I think I’ve seen you around but we’ve never met. I don’t usually spend a lot of time mingling.”

“Apollo huh? I myself am a child of Ares even though I may not look the part.” She said leaning back and stretching. 

Rita laughed at what Oscar had said “That’s definitely one way to put it. it’s sort of how I aspire to be, problem is I don’t get out very much and the weather never cooperates when I actually do go outside.” She gave him a small grin. “I’m Rita Luoma. I’ve also seen you walking around but I never found the time to strike an actual conversation with you.”

After about a minute or so she said “The one thing that would make this better is if we had a few cold drinks, wanna come with me to get a few?”

Sam had heard the news of two other ares kids showing up. He’d never had a sibling before and it was awesome to think that now he had two half siblings. After seeing a not so pleasant interaction with his male half sibling he figured, that the girl had to be better. 

So he sent a letter to her to hopefully meet her in the training rooms. Sam needed to blow off a little steam and nothing upped his confidence more than weight lifting. And looking like Captain America being able to punch bags off the chain. 

Sam also knew if he didn’t build up the muscles in his punches he’d continue to tare muscles and break fingers. He’d take training over lasting damage any day. Sam waited for his sibling hopefully she was cool, it’d suck if she wasn’t that nice. Hopefully she wasn’t scared of him, that’d be worse. Most of the stories they told around him weren’t true, but the hell hound thing was true.

Most tended not to fight him because of that.

Rita knew that there were two other people who were Ares’ children here at HBI and that her half sibling, Sam wanted to meet her. So she was’t very surprised when she received his letter to meet in the training rooms.

She got ready and started heading to the training rooms. She hoped it would go well and that he wasn’t very rude. As she reached the door she quietly stepped inside and saw him.

“So, I received your letter and now I’m here.” she said as she walked up to him. Now what do you want to do?” She sort of wanted to fight him but felt that he would beat her up since she was rusty.

She hoped that he would be somewhat kind for a child of Ares.

Oscar stretched out his legs and tilted his head back, letting the warmth from the sun soak into his skin. He’d been spending way too much time inside lately, and it was starting to drain his energy. Letting his brown eyes flicker closed, He basked in the feeling of the breeze and the sun. 

It was like a paradise had sprouted inside HBI’s courtyard. 

The bench beside him creaked as someone sat down and he raised an eyebrow but kept his eyes closed, “Nice day, huh?”

Rita was walking around the HBI courtyard quietly and stopped once she saw a bench. Slowly sitting down she heard a voice and replied joyfully,

 “I think today is a perfect day to be out in the sun. It’s better than sitting inside and doing nothing at all.” 

She leaned back and relaxed. The sun was very soothing to her.

“What brings you out here on this wonderful sunny day?” She asked the man as she smiled and shut her eyes .
