So I was using the flycam to take some screenshots of Vivienneās space at Skyhold when I realizedā¦
Vivienne has two potted viola plants.
Vivienne sapphic icon confirmed.
Vivienne with Bantu knots, inspired by elfyourmother
canon trevelyan lore as presented in the game:
your family is based out of ostwick, one of the port cities along the southern coast of the free marches
ur great-aunt lucille has the most POPPIN parties and everyone whoās got standing in the free marches shows up like itās the afterparty to the oscars
fuck it UP lucille you absolute ledge
the montilyets also attend for some reason? anyways ur family and josieās family know each other which is cool
youāre related to house pavus but are separated by at least three ages worth of generations
dorian mind dropping that family tree in my inbox real quick thanks babe
wait doesnāt this technically make a mage trevelyan an altus
nice
ur entire family is dedicated to the andrastian faith and are present in nearly all branches of the chantry heirarchy
templars in the order, mages in the circle, and brothers and sisters in chantries in ostwick
damn trevelyan family reunions must be awkward as hell
youāve got family in nevarra who are high enough on the totem pole that they can literally show up to king markus likeĀ āhey maybe we donāt go to war with tevinter probablyā and have him actually listen???
literally what why is this never mentioned ever again
who are these mysterious trevelyans
the trevelyans are the 7th (or 8th) most important family in ostwick
seriously if the trevelyans have members in nevarra who can advise their king why are they only 7th (or 8th) youād think this would make them a little more influential
youāre related to philliam, a bard! whoās got the balls to tell brother genitivi to pay him for the free advertisement of his works in a letter written for public consumption like what kind of bullshit hamilton level confidence
philliam (a bard!) also doesnāt give a ratās ass about politics and is far enough removed from the main trevelyan branch that any association is minimal at best
so for all the politically-inclined trevelyans out there ur good fam
iām still hung up on the 7th (or 8th) thing like really whatās the deal with that
house motto is:Ā āmodest in temper, bold in deedā
family crest is also apparently the bees fuckin knees but we arenāt shown it at all??? iām assuming itās got a horse on it though⦠maybe some ocean iconography since weāre by the waking sea and all
aside from this i donāt think thereās any other trevelyan lore??? thereās mage-trevelyan stuff ofc but thatās mostly defined via dialogue choices you make and isnāt actually defined by outside informationĀ š¤š¤š¤
Iāll answer what I can, but my policy is not to sell things that donāt belong to me.

ā veilpierced | inquisitor rhiall
@theharellan @ourdawncomes liked for a starter !!
āMadame de Fer.ā Polite. Formal. Though with her back turned to the First Enchanter, the taut draw of her shoulders betrays that she has been caught wrong-footed, wandering into the upstairs library currently occupied by a woman she has spoken to little since Haven burned, and not accidentally.
She rests with a finger hooked in the binding of a tome by Massache, tugged part-way from the shelf. She exhales sharply through her nose, eyes slipping shut for just a moment. This silent treatment accomplishes nothing for anyone, she knows, and if the First Enchanter is to attend the Inquisition, at least the Inquisitor ought to speak with her.
āPerhaps youāll indulge me for a moment. Commander Helaine and I have been running drills with a blade in the yard all morning, and I admit Iā¦struggle with the form. Iām not accustomed to wielding any weapon left-handed very often, much less a blade,ā she ventures, and she laughs wryly. āI fear the Commanderās losing patience with me. What would you suggest?ā
The Inquisitor hesitates when their eyes meet, tensing visibly in the candlelight. Vivienne hums under her breath, a simpering smile quirks the corners of her lips as she nods in Rhiallās direction.Ā āInquisitor,ā she greets before she returns to the book open in her lap.
In truth, they have both been caught somewhat off-guard. Engrossed as she was in her reading, she had not noticed how her feet tucked up onto her seat. A dreadful habit, not appropriate outside of her home-- and this place hardly feels like one. At least her slippers are clean, she thinks as she unfolds them. In fact, they have never so much as touched a blade of grass.
She looks up again, chin perched upon her knuckles, regarding her leader with polite interest. Despite her words, it feels as if she is the one being indulged, but she will not deny herself the opportunity to offer advice.Ā āYou would have to be perfection personified not to try her patience, and even then Iām sure she would find something,ā she says, laughing softly at the Commanderās expense.Ā āCan you use your left hand to sign a letter? Tie a knot? Practising finer motor skills may prepare you for the broad strokes of a sword.ā
may i have this dance, my lady?
someone said itās vivienne month? well either way hereās young circle viv looking like some kinda magic princess!
āĀ aniente | ser evangeline
Evangeline folds her hands in her lap,Ā shoulder blades resting lightly against the back of the chair in what she thinks is a passable attempt at a relaxed position.Ā Ā Admittedly she isnāt very good at relaxing.Ā Ā Not in situations like this.Ā Ā Itās for off days,Ā as is being out of her armourĀ āĀ something that still feels wrong when dealing withā¦
ā¦important matters,Ā she corrects herself before she can even think mages.Ā Ā No,Ā she can relax around mages.Ā Ā Rhys is a mage.Ā Ā Vivienne is Court Enchanter and she clearly means business,Ā not smalltalk.Ā Ā That is the difference.
She clears her throat.Ā Ā ā Nothing compared to your friends,Ā Iām sure,Ā First Enchanter. āĀ Ā Not a compliment,Ā not from her.Ā Ā Evangeline has never cared for nobility.Ā Ā ā But yes.Ā Ā I have kept in touch with some friends outside the templar order,Ā as much as my duties allowed. āĀ Ā The thought of her familyās old estate stings,Ā and she has to wonder if itās meant to.Ā Ā ā Brassard-manot is no longer in the family,Ā Iām afraid.Ā Ā I havenāt been to it in many years eitherĀ āĀ Iām not acquainted with the new owners. ā
Sheās tense, poor thing, Vivienne muses as Evangeline moves in her chair before she settles somewhat stiffly. Itās hardly new, even from Templars. Who, they arenāt a touch intimidated, then often she is the one who ought to be worried.
And that simply wonāt do.
She lounges back in her chaise, examining her nailbeds a moment before her gaze fixes upon her companion.Ā āA pity, but fortunately land is not everything. Our ambassador believes you-- or, you by way of your connections-- may fill our coffers, and Iām inclined to agree. After the Templars abandoned duty for madness, those who still have a modicum of honour are all but idolised.ā Even ones the likes of their Commander.Ā āWe may have luck beginning with the minor nobility, those that turned in your familyās circle, but where do you believe we ought to start?ā
mini dorianxvekel comic
iām done drawing dorian now.Ā iāll leave that to those who are actually good at it lol
i saw this dress and i had to draw her in it 8)
While Vivienne tells the Inquisitor that Duchess Nicoline was approving of the affair, she was not telling the whole truth of the matter.
She was as much involved with Nicoline as Duke Bastien, as a friend and more. Duke Bastien had not married for love, nor had Nicoline, but between the three of them they found content in companionship they had not in monogamy.
Nicoline died a few years before the Inquisition began, having passed away from a fever. Vivienne was not there when she died, something she regrets to this day, and as Bastienās health continues to ail throughout the events of Inquisition, something that pressed heavier upon her mind. She was determined to be there for him as she couldnāt be for Nicoline, and in the event the Inquisitor does not receive her quest to retrieve the heart of the snowy wyvern, she has someone else do it in their stead.
When the time comes, she takes a leave of absence to be with him in his final days. Although without a warm approval Inquisitor there, it is a lonelier affair after his passing. If they are there, the two do not return immediately to Skyhold, but spend a few days together at his estate, getting his affairs in order and taking some much-needed time to themselves.

⢠-- Tetrak and the Iron Bull
party banter meme | accepting
Tetrak: So the Ariqun is just letting you give the Inquisition intel?Iron Bull: Itās not like itās free. Theyāve got an eye on us, too. Three eyes, now.Tetrak: If you werenāt here theyād send someone else, someone that doesnāt stick out like a sore thumb.Iron Bull: Itās better this way. We have more to gain off each other, if it was a qunari report that stood between our success and failure here, the Qunād bear some of the blame for what happens.Tetrak: Sounds like you had to convince them, too.Iron Bull: Took a few pages, but I got the job done.
Iron Bull: Howās it feel, being back after all these years?Tetrak: Honestly? Terrifying. Spent seven years studying and now Iām here trying my damndest not to forget everything.Iron Bull: Iām guessing they kept you close before all this.Tetrak: Mostly. If I ever went out scouting there was always someone a stoneās throw away.Iron Bull: Good thing Iām here, then.Tetrak: I didnāt want to ask. Youāre more of a spy than a priest, arenāt you?Iron Bull: I know what it looks like when people start drifting. Iāll keep you straight.Tetrak: Thanks. I mean it.
(after Demands of the Qun, when the Chargers were saved)
Tetrak: Playing a few rounds of chess with that elf wonāt erase what you did.Iron Bull: Never thought it would.Tetrak: How many Chargers were on that hill, compared to the number of qunari on that ship, you think?Iron Bull: If word gotĀ āround that the Inquisitor put some qunari before her own men, what dāyou think thatād do to morale?Tetrak: So they died so the Inquisition could save face.Iron Bull: They died because thatās what happens when you send soldiers to war.
āEven in Orzammar, we both knew it couldnāt last. I was honored by the time we shared, but⦠You are a princess. Iām not even a warrior anymore.ā
