Sonny comes racing down the stairs after overhearing Kate and Victor's conversation. He nearly runs into Maggie, who is exiting the living room. She had no idea Sonny was dropping by.
Kiriakis Mansion: Victor's Study
Victor asks Kate if she really thinks he is threatened by the likes of Clyde Weston. In either respect. He learned long ago that she was too ambitious in the boardroom and the bedroom to ever be satisfied long with one man. Kate slaps him.
Brady's Pub
Melanie stands outside, nervously checking her hair in her phone. She starts applying lipstick when she hears a man's voice talking low. She walks through the alley to the old pier. She sees a guy. It's Clint. She saw him with Theresa. Whoever he is talking to, he clearly doesn't want to be overheard.
Meanwhile Brady shows up ayt the Pub, He doesn't see her, so he goes inside. He asks Pete if Melanie has shown up. Brady is thinking she may have hit the restroom while she waiting for him. He is running a little late. Pete shakes his head no. Perhaps she's running a little late, too. Brady checks his phone...
Nicole's Office @ Titan TV
Nicole is pacing. Hope tells her to stop doing that. It makes her crazy. Nicole can't help it. She's anxious. Hope is, too. Hope's phone rings. Nicole tells her to answer it quickly. Hope answers, “Detective Brady.” A friendly voice answers. “I heard you wanted to to speak with me. What can I do for you?” Harold smiles on the other end of the phone.
Will and Sonny's Apartment
Will comes home from the office to find grandma Marlena tending to Arianna. Marlena tells the baby girl to look at who is home. Will gratefully take Arianna into his arms and soaks it in when she clings to close to him. Marlena can see that he missed his daughter. Will said he's had a long day. Marlena hopes that's all it is.
DiMera Mansion: The Study
Chad is on the phone with his investors. Her promises them that the numbers have only just started to climb with him as co-chair of DiMera Enterprises. With a smile Chad hangs up. That smile fades when he sees Jordan in the doorway. She says that Harold let her in. He thinks they need to have a little chat.
Kiriakis Mansion: The Foyer
Sonny says he was just dropping something off for his mom for the scrapbook she's making his dad while he's away in Dubai. He has to rush out, though. There's lots of work to do at the club. He asks Maggie to say hi to everyone for her. She will. He leaves. Maggie looks disturbed as she stands alone in the foyer and glances at the stairs. Something about Sonny's demeanor is troubling her...
Kiriakis Mansion: Victor's Study
Victor is glad she got that out of her system. Now she can get out. Kate refuses to leave until Victor sees reason. Does he want her to tell Maggie that he hasn't completely cleaned up his act. Victor says that if he had any involvement with Clyde Weston's shooting, he would have been doing Salem a big favor. One of the games Victor has not been in for a long time Clyde has been more than happy to pick up slack on: drugs. Just like that sleaze ex of yours, Curtis. In case Kate has forgotten, also, his grandson just struggled through a relapse of coke and binge drinking. Kate thinks that's why Victor kicked her and Clyde out of his precious club the other night. Victor states that the owner of a new establishment may choose not to cater to certain clientele. Kate insists that Clyde is nothing like Curtis, who was broke scum, a low life alcoholic who beat her and Billie and Austin. So Clyde can hide behind money and pretty talk. Victor tells Kate if that she really digs, she will see Weston for what he is, just like Victor does. Maggie opens the door. “Is there a problem here?” she asks.
The Pier
Melanie gets closer, sneaking behind a box. She can hear his words now. “Word is Weston will be back on his feet in a few days. Yeah, no memory of getting shot, lucky for you.” Clint thinks he hears something. It's Melanie's phone. He tells whoever he is talking to that their conversation isn't private. He hangs up. Behind the box, Melanie is quietly freaking out about her phone and knows she has no time to hide, so she tries to think of a cover story. She takes off her earring. Just then, Clint finds Melanie. He asks her what she's doing hiding behind this box, eavesdropping. Melanie apologizes. She lies about having dropped her earring. He asks if she is going to answer her phone. She doesn't want to be rude. He insists. She does. It's Brady. Melanie apologizes and says that she is running a little late. She'll be right there. When she hangs up, Clint warns her that it's not safe on the docks these days. She might want to get out of here. Melanie says she will. Before she does, he urges her that if she overheard anything that she should have to forget it. In his work, privacy and confidentiality is very important and that phone call definitely falls into that jurisdiction, Melanie understands. She works at the hospital. She decides to go. He watches her. When she's gone, he chides himself. He has to be more careful.
Brady's Pub
After hanging up from Melanie, Brady looks at his phone. Something seemed off about her on the phone just then and he doesn't know what. After a few moments, Melanie comes into the pub. Brady wonders where she has been. Melanie apologizes. She was here before he was. Then where did she go. Melanie asks Brady if he remembers that guy Clint? The guy he saw Theresa with at the hospital. Brady does. She overheard him on the phone at the docks. She thinks he might be connected to Clyde Weston. You know, the guy who was just shot. Brady asks her if she is telling him that she is worried about Theresa's safety on their first date.
Nicole's Office @ Titan TV
Hope is glad that Harold got back to her. She wonders if he can be of help to her. Her nephew is dating this woman by the name of Serena Mason. A source gave her the heads up on some potentially illegal activity connected to her time at the Tribune. Harold apologizes to Hope. He is not at liberty to discuss former employees. His hands are tied by all kinds of policies. Hope asks if he can confirm or deny a story she has been told, with heavy evidence to support it. Harold cannot make any promises, but he will listen to Hope. Nicole watches Hope anxiously.
Will and Sonny's Apartment
Will hopes that he's not about to be psychoanalyzed by his grandmother. Marlena tells him that she's off the clock with a laugh. He wonders where John is. Marlena tells him he's working. Will is glad to hear that Basic Black has him staying in town. Not Basic Black. He's gone back to work for the Salem PD. Will wonders if Marlena is okay with that. Marlena says it is what he needs to do with his life. Of course it's scary, but that is just life. And both of their lives were in danger regardless of him being a cop or a businessman, so what difference does it make to her. Will wishes that Sonny had been more open to his ambitions as a writer. Marlena tells Will to give Sonny time. She is worried about him and Sonny. Will sighs and tells his grandmother that they'll figure things out. Marlena presses, inferring that they are having problems, then. Will gives Marlena an all too familiar look. It's the same look Sami used to give her when she didn't want her to press any harder. Usually that was because Sami was hiding something. Will says that he is going to put Arianna to bed. Marlena tells Will that he is evading her. He hasn't done since he was struggling with accepting the fact that he is gay. To get her off his back, Will tells Marlena that he has just been stressed keeping this high profile interviewee secret from everyone. It's no big deal. Marlena hopes Will knows that he can talk to her about anything. There is nothing that would make her judge him. He knows. He leaves the room to put Arianna to bed.
DiMera Mansion: The Study
Chad asks how her stepfather is. Jordan says that Clyde is going to live to torture her and her brother another day. He is sure she's a little disappointed. Jordan says that she's not that kind of person. No matter what Clyde did to her, she could not wish ill on him. Chad asks Jordan to correct him if he's wrong, but did she not pull a gun on him in his hotel room when she found him with Kate. Jordan says that is a touchy subject. Because of Rafe? Chad asks. Jordan admits that yes. She may have moved on, but it's still a healing wound. Chad asks if that's why she kissed Rafe. Was that an act of healing?
Kiriakis Mansion: Victor's Study
Victor tells his wife gleefully that Kate was just leaving. Kate says that she will see herself out. Maggie notes that Kate didn't seem terribly happy. Victor wonders how much she heard. Maggie asks if there is something she shouldn't have heard. Victor has no secrets from her. Maggie asks Victor if he put a hit out on Clyde.
Brady's Pub
Melanie laughs at the prospect. She insists that is not it. Brady tells her that he thinks this is a bad idea. She thinks he is hung up on Theresa, doesn't she? Melanie insists she doesn't. Brady says that her father thinks so, too, and that's one of the reasons he doesn't approve of, of this. Brady is wondering if maybe Daniel and Maggie are right. Maybe Brady is not in the right place to be seeing someone. He's not thinking clearly. How can he be? Melanie tells Brady to wait, but he storms out.
Nicole's Office @ Titan TV
Hope hangs up. It's a deadend. Harold's hands are tied by confidentiality policies. She thinks that Harold knows something, but they are not going to get it out of him. Nicole wonders if she can convince Jennifer to try. Hope cautions Nicole about pushing this. Nicole complains to Hope that she was so close. What is she supposed to do, just let Serena waltz into Eric's life and tear it into pieces again. Followed closely by Kristen and Nicole, Hope points out. Nicole admits she screwed up. Old news. Maybe, just maybe, she is trying to make amends. Not that she expects any credit from her. Hope apologizes. She was being unfair. It's an easy habit to fall into with Nicole. Nicole knows that Nicole's history paints a picture and it's not pretty. Maybe, Hope says, but she can see that Nicole still care very deeply for Eric. Hope asks Nicole is she is doing this to get Eric back. Get him back? Nicole asks. If she is honest with herself, she never really had him. And she doesn't have hope that she ever will. If Serena Mason were some great girl, she could be happy for them. At least a little. Of course, the envy monster would also be consuming her. Hope recalls how Nicole tried to spin things in her favor to come between Greta abd Eric. Nicole insists that she has grown a lot since. Hope admits it was a lifetime ago, and that Nicole seems to be acting so selflessly. Hope's not used to it. Neither is Nicole.
Will and Sonny's Apartment
Marlena offers to stay here so Will can go visit Sonny at the club. Will thinks that he will stay here and be a good father. He has head too few chances to do that lately. Marlena hopes that he'll take some time to be a good husband, too. Will tells his grandmother to get off his back about Sonny. He is sorry, but he doesn't need anyone else to give him advice about the problems they are having. Marlena wonders who else has been giving him advice. Will says never mind. Just go home and don't worry about him, or Sonny. They will be okay. Marlena will do that, as long Will promises her that he is okay. Will says that he will be. It's just been a tough little while for everyone. Marlena hugs Will goodbye.
DiMera Mansion: The Study
Jordan is stunned. Before she can say anything, Chad says that he saw them. He brought her flowers and was going to surprise her. Instead, he was the one being surprised. Jordan wants to explain. Rafe surprised her with that kiss. Chad notes that she wasn't pushing him away. Jordan says that she did push him away. It must have been after Chad left. Jordan wonders if this is why he got into it with Ben. Was this his way of getting back at her? Chad admits he was hurt. He thought what they were doing meant something to her. Whether Jordan wants to admit it or not, she wanted that kiss. Jordan asks Chad if that's it, then. Are they done? Chad says that he is not going to be second best, least of all to Hernandez. He's a DiMera. He won't be made a fool. He's been down that road too many times.

She has to return to the hospital and work PR well into the evening, because of the high-profile shooting. Victor saw Titan TV's segment on Mr. Weston's shooting. It's terrible. Rogers is Weston's son, is he not? Abigail says yes. Victor tells Ms. Deveraux that she's barking up the wrong tree.
Will's Office @ SONIX
Will is sure that if Paul had decided to come out, things could have worked out for Paul and this guy. And who knows, maybe marriage was in the cards for them had he been out. Paul says Will doesn't understand. This guy proposed to him. Paul had to refuse, because he didn't want to risk coming out. He was an up and comer back then. Will is shocked. Paul says he really loved the guy, but he had no idea where his career would go if he came out. Before meeting this guy, ball was everything to Paul. Will understands. Being out in sports is such a new thing. Paul wishes he'd had the courage of Michael Sam and the like. Will and Paul discuss how Michael Sam recently proposed to his now-fiance. Paul admits that he was so glad to meet Will, but he is taken, too. Will apologizes again. Paul wonders if Will is going to tell his boyfriend what happened between them.
Outside Will's Office @ SONIX
Sonny hesitates. He wanted to give them in person. Will and he have been fighting a little bit lately, and he wanted to go the extra mile. The receptionist, Lin, doesn't know how long Mr. Horton will be with his interviewee. She knows that Mr. Kiriakis is a busy man and probably doesn't have time to wait around. She also knows that Mr. Horton has a deadline to meet. Zoe, who has just stepped out of her office, says that's right. He does. Sonny says this must be the infamous Ms. Browning. Sonny introduces himself as Will's husband. Zoe is glad to meet him, and thanks Sonny for letting them borrow Will so much. She has a feeling this story is going to be big and will surely pay off for Will's family. Sonny decides to take Lin up on her offer to put the flowers in a vase. He asks if he can write the note himself. Lin says of course. She tells him to use the back of a business card and gives him a pen. He leans over the receptionist desk to write, back facing Will's office.
Nicole's Office @ Titan TV
Miles hopes that this story is worth it to Nicole. She promises that it will be. Miles leaves. Alone again, Nicole urges Hope to call her soon. She decides to pray. She knows that she doesn't really deserve to have her prayers answered, but this isn't for her. This is for one of His favorite sons, Eric Brady. She doesn't want Eric to get hurt by this bitch on wheels Serena Mason. If she can just prove that Serena is a no good schemer and help Eric avoid more heartache, that is all she wants. And she admits that it would be satisfying to be right about her. Ever since she hit town, everyone has been singing her praises and its gotten on her last nerve. She may not have spilled the drink on Serena on purpose, but she wasn't really sorry. Some people just need to be taken off their pedestal. She hopes that God can see past Nicole's own transgressions and see that she's trying to help one of the good ones.

Eric says that being a Brady has its perks, which includes being able to call in international favors. Serena knows this could not have been inexpensive. Eric doesn't care. He chose Everlasts, yes, because they are South African native, but also because that is how he would want his next relationship to be. Serena is overwhelmed. Eric tells her not to worry. DiMera Mansion: Study
Chad greets his father. Stefano notes the pain in Chad's voice and chuckles. It seems Mr. Rogers has a rather excellent right hook. Chad smirks and asks how it is that his father always knows when something has happened. Stefano swears that someday, Chad will know his secrets. Stefano wants to know if this messes up any of their plans. Chad admits that he was thrown for a loop when he saw Rafe kissing Jordan. "Ah ha!" exclaims Stefano, understanding that Chad must have provoked Ben to attack after his sister's betrayal. Chad knows that he originally honed in on Ms. Ridgeway as a way to get under the skin of his enemies Rafe as a general DiMera enemy, and Ben as Abigail's current beau but in spite of himself, he has come to care for her. Stefano cautions his son not to let his guard down, saying that women are like chameleons, changing to fit their surroundings. Chad thinks this is colored by Stefano's failed relationship with Kate. Chad doesn't want to be alone at his father's age. Stefano understands that Chad longs for love. Stefano thinks perhaps, however, that Chad has become distracted by Ms. Ridgeway and should focus on the original plan of landing Abigail Deveraux.
Kiriakis Mansion: The Study
Abigail asks Victor to hear her out. Abigail tells Victor that Ben is in trouble, because he beat up Chad. Victor is intrigued. Doesn't Rogers work at TBD, which Chad is part-owner of. Abigail says yes. She says that Ben is likely to lose his job there because of what happened. Victor admits that anyone willing to give a DiMera a shiner ranks well in his book. Abigail points out that Aunt Maggie would also appreciate him doing this favor for her. Victor supposes she wants her name left out of this. She says no. No secrets between Ben and her. "How quaint,Victor quips. Abigail says that she will go and talk to Ben about it. She thanks Mr. Kiriakis. Victor watches her go. Alone, Victor ponders. "Well, if Weston lives, this could be a way to get under his skin...”
Will's Office @ SONIX
Will balks when he realizes Paul didn't get how far he had committed to his long-term beau. Will knows he can't just take his ring out and put it on now, so he let's Paul believe that it's just a long-term boyfriend. Will says it was a one time mistake. After this meeting, Will expects he will not be seeing Paul anymore. Paul is disappointed to hear that. He was hoping he could convince Will to come by his hotel after he was done working. It's late and the nights get lonely. Will apologizes, but he can't do that. That it happened at all is huge mistake on Will's part, which isn't to say he didn't want it, or wouldn't want it again. Paul is a desirable man. Will is just a small town boy who fell hard for the first man he dated. Along came this sexy, experience, albeit closeted baseball celebrity. Will was overwhelmed by Paul coming onto him. He didn't want Paul to feel used. Paul says he's to being the one who is using others women, in particular. He's had plenty of one night stands, but Paul is not ready to close the door on taking Will to bed again. It happened once for a reason. No matter how Will justifies it, his relationship can't be happy or satisfying these days, or he never would have given into Paul's advances. Will thinks Paul should go. Paul agrees to go. He knows Will has a lot of work to do. Paul leaves. Will sighs heavily.
Outside Will's Office @ SONIX
Unbeknownst to Sonny, whose back is to Will's office, Paul walks by and leaves quietly. Lin comes back and sees him going into the elevator. Sonny smells something familiar. Lin thinks its the flowers. Sonny says no. A cologne he recognizes. His husbands? Sonny again says no. Someone else. He supposes someone else in the office must wear it. Paul has already gone down the elevator, not having seen Sonny. Lin tells Sonny that his husband is free now. Sonny doesn't want to disturb him if he is hard at work. He doesn't want to be responsible for Will missing his deadline or a paycheck. Plus, he should head back to work himself. Lin promises to give Mr. Horton the flowers. Sonny thanks Lin so much for her help. He leaves.
Nicole's Office @ Titan TV
Hope knocks on Nicole's door. Nicole was expecting a phone call. Hope is waiting for one herself and figured it was better to come here and talk over some things rather than sit around and wait for Serena's editor when she worked at the Chicago Tribune to call her back. Nicole asks Hope how she got in touch with him. She couldn't get near him when she tried. Hope says that he is an old friend of Jack and Jennifer's. In fact, she'd be surprised if Nicole never met him when he worked at the Spectator. Anyway, Hope looked at the materials on the flash-drive and compared them with what the Tribune printed. The time-stamps all but prove that her anonymous tipper was the photojournalist behind the photos in the article, as well as the article itself. The question is whether the Tribune even knows they were duped. One of two things happened. Either Serena presented herself as both journalist and photojournalist and did none of the work and took all the credit, or the Tribune liked her reputation and didn't want to credit an amateur photographer. Either way, Hope says, Ms. Mason is looking at some big trouble. Nicole wonders if Serena would be thrown in jail. Hope says that's unlikely. He hasn't done anything illegal here and the Chicago PD would have no jurisdiction here. It's a petty crime at best and they have enough on their hands there locally. Hope hopes that Nicole will still show this proof to Eric. Hope doesn't like the fact that her nephew might be duped by this girl.
Serena's Hotel Room
Serena has dressed in a sparkly blue dress. There is a knock on the door. It's Eric. He is wearing a button up shirt with a few buttons left undone and a navy blazer. Serena returns with her jacket and they leave.

And do you know why, she ask? “Because you’re an insufferable goody two shoes, Jen-Jen?” Jennifer says no. Because Eve used to idolize Shane. Worship the ground he walked on. Now, he’s just collateral damage in one her petty schemes. Jennifer remembers a time when they weren’t enemies, either. It saddens her that Eve has just never grown up. Cole wants to apologize for helping Bev out before. Paige says that its fine. Cole wanted to get back at JJ, because JJ stole Bev from him and he didn’t even want Bev. He also wanted to try to win bev over, but he quickly learned that she was too obsessed with JJ to look at him. One of the steps of rehab is apologizing to those you have wronged, so he wants to do that. He wants to do it with JJ, too, but he’s not sure her boyfriend will be receptive. Paige says that JJ isn’t her boyfriend anymore. Their coffees arrives. They clink mugs to new beginnings. Paige asks Cole what he’s doing now that he is out. So many mistakes. He doesn’t know where to begin, but “Doc” seems to be willing to let him try. Abe is hardly surprised. They’ve been through so much together and apart. She was by his side when he was in that coma. John changes the subject and asks about Theo. John would love to play some catch with some time, take him to the park. Abe thinks Theo might like that, but it’s hard to tell. Some days he’s really easy going and others he shuts down. John is sure that it’s been hard without his mother these past few years. At least Brady had him and Doc growing up. Then again, look how well that turned out. He hopes that Brady is finally turning things around.

She’ll deal with this loser, too. JJ asks if she’s going to sleep with him, too. Things get physical between them. There is another knock on the door.
Cast 'Changes'
More like reversions.
I will be imagining the following people in the following roles:
Chandler Massey as Will, Charlotte Ross as Eve, and Wayne Northrop as Roman. I'm generally anti-recast, but really like Billy Flynn's turn as Chad, and there feels no need to reconfigure out anything else. Readers, of course, can make their own decisions regarding who they see as who. ;)

Rafe thinks he probably did, one way or another. He knows he really hurt her. Jordan says that is in the past. She’s moved on. Rafe is glad for her, as long as she’s happy. Even if I’m with Chad DiMera? Rafe says yes. Jordan tells Rafe that he may have messed up, but he’s a good guy. She wants to thank him for tossing Kate and Clyde out last night. Salem University
Paige reminds JJ that he’s not her boyfriend anymore. She can hang out with whoever she wants. JJ says that Cole’s a loser. Episode #2: Tuesday, January 20, 2015
Brady’s Pub
John sits alone with a mug of coffee. He thinks of Abe’s offer. Caroline asks John why he is not at Victor’s club. John says, nothing against Kiriakis, but his mind is elsewhere. Caroline thinks she knows where his head is. She motions to the door, where Marlena has just entered from the cold.
Will and Sonny’s Apartment
Adrienne and Lucas have left. Sonny is alone, playing with Arianna Grace, all the while wondering where her other daddy is. She gets fussy and he realizes it is way past her bedtime. He picks her up and leaves the room. Will enters the room. He realizes his wedding ring still isn’t on. He digs in his pocket and puts it on. He sits miserably at his desk and opens a document. He wonders what the hell he is supposed to write about if Paul won’t make up his mind. Sonny thinks that is the least of their worries.
Kiriakis Mansion
Maggie wonders why her husband is not at the opening of his own club. Victor miserly remarks that it should have been Sonny’s club. It was his ticket out from under of Chad DiMera’s thumb. But he was too stubborn to take it. Maggie asks Victor if that really surprises him. He’s a Kiriakis, after all. Sonny’s always been his own man. Victor grudgingly accepts that his wife is right. His phone rings and he answers. Immediately, his face contorts into rage. “What? No, thank you, Manson. I’ll handle Weston.” He hangs up. Maggie asks Victor what is wrong. Victor says his competition has raised the stakes.
Victor’s Club
Jordan watches smugly as her words hit Clyde, Ben, and the others. Clyde smirks. He wonders what his Tammy Sue means by that. “I mean that I think you meant for your part in this to come out all along. It was just too soon. I wasn’t in deep enough yet.” Ben defends Clyde, pointing out that Clyde knows you would never take the money if she knew it was his. Jordan retorts that if the program was already up and running and she found out a few months in, she’d be trapped - just like Clyde likes her to be.
Brady’s Pub
John is so glad to see his “Doc”. Marlena could not help herself when he called her. Things have been so wonderful and easy between them lately. She is always smiling. Marlena wants to know why he wanted to see her. John admits that he always wants to see her, but he did have a specific reason. It’s about this gig at the police department. He remembers how she said they’d never be the type to settle down. He agrees. But it has been a long time since he has been a cop. He’s not as young as he used to be. Marlena wonders what his real worries are. John admits that ever since they learned that he was an Alamain, he walked away from the blue collar life, just like had tried to walk away from Marlena. He’s done the corporate executive thing for so long, and law enforcement was the one thing that he could let Roman have. It kept their lives separate and kept things civil between us. Marlena asks John if he thinks Roman would be upset with John being on the force. John doesn’t know. Marlena asks if he thinks Abe would have offered the job if he thought Roman would object. “There you go again, Doc,” John says lovingly, “Getting my head on straight.”
Will and Sonny’s Apartment
For a moment Will wonders if Sonny heard him say Paul. Sonny asks Will what kept him out so long. Will said that he was pursuing a new angle with this article, like he mentioned, and his subject was less than cooperative. Will apologizes for being so late. Sonny tells Will that they have a problem. A big problem. Will knows. “Do you, Will?” Sonny asks. Sonny tells Will that he has tried time after time to get him to sit down and talk, but Will is too busy. Will cites the article and their money problems. Sonny gets why he is so busy with this article, but it didn’t start with this article. This is just the latest. Will is never home. Sonny knows that he screwed up with this club. Even worse, his uncle just opened a new club and TBD was dead tonight. Will asks how Sonny can come down on him if suddenly the once successful TBD is taking a hit. Will doesn’t get why someone Victor’s age is opening a club, and as competition to his nephew. Sonny admits it was supposed to be his and Will explodes. Sonny goes on the defense, pointing out that he wasn’t going to take this club as a handout. That’s not who he is. Will cannot believe Sonny would be so proud after sinking their savings into a failed business venture. What about Ari? Sonny tells Will that he knows that baby girl comes first, and not to make this about Sonny’s mistakes. He is worried about their marriage and their daughter, because Will seems to care more about his career than their relationship. Will gets right in Sonny’s face and demands to know if Sonny is saying he cares about this article more than he cares about Sonny and Ari.
Kiriakis Mansion
Maggie knows that Victor doesn’t like to involve her in his business dealings. She wants to help, if she can. Victor tells Maggie that he appreciates her devotion, but this is something that he must handle himself. Maggie understands, but she has to ask if Victor has gotten himself tied up into something illegal or violent again. Victor tells Maggie that it is the nature of some of his business holdings, especially on the waterfront. Maggie reminds Victor what happened last time things got messy on the waterfront. Victor tells her it is nothing like that. This is not war. It is little more than a skirmish. He is not worried about that hillbilly Clyde Weston and neither should Maggie. Well, Maggie will be worried until she knows all of their loved ones are safe from harm. Victor understands. He has a phone call to make. Maggie thinks that she will leave him to that. As Victor picks up the phone, Maggie looks torn by the doorway, as she watched him pick up the phone and dial. She leaves. Victor is speaking to Rafe. Victor is glad to hear all is going well. He wonders if Weston is there. “Good. Let him know he is not welcome on the property.”
Victor’s Club
Clyde turns on the charm, asking his Tammy Sue why she’s telling all these fine people about her wild imagination and embarrassing herself. He never meant to have his name revealed. Ben never should have done that. Jordan thinks Ben never should have done a lot of things, like trust Clyde. Jordan accuses Kate of being in on it. After all, she was there at the press conference. Kate laughs that off, pointing out that she is a concerned board member who doubts the qualifications of Jordan and Abigail. Abigail doesn’t think that is it. She thinks Kate is a pathetic, petty woman who is jealous of young women like Jordan and herself, not to mention her hate for Jordan. Kate thinks that Horton women are all the same - they’ve always felt threatened by her presence. Rafe comes over. He wonders if there is a problem over here. Kate and Clyde insist no - but Jordan says yes. Ben tells Jordan not to cause a scene. Chad thinks Jordan can take care of herself, just like she always has. Chad thinks maybe should clue Abigail in on just the kind of man his daddy is. Rafe tells them all to cool it. “Oh, and Weston?” Rafe asks. Clyde turns to Rafe. “I’ve just been informed by the owner that you are not welcome on the premises, so kindly remove yourself and have a nice night. Oh, and if you don’t, I’ll be happy to call security.” Rafe gives Jordan a meaningful look and then walks away.
Brady’s Pub
John admits that he feels like for the first time in a long, long time he does have his head on straight. Things have been going so well between them that he hasn’t wanted to rock the boat, but there is so much that they need to talk about. To get straight. Marlena thinks that can wait. She thinks John should follow his heart and follow his instincts. John doesn’t trust them the way he used to. Maybe his head has been too messed with and his wires get crossed. He doesn’t know. Marlena thinks that John’s instincts are still mostly good and if they work as a team, she can help to keep him in check. John thinks that is exactly what he needs to do.
Will and Sonny’s Apartment
Sonny stands his ground. Will thinks this is unbelievable. He knows that he has made mistakes, but he has only ever tried to make something of himself to give them all a better life. And no matter what he does, it blows up in his face. He just keeps screwing up and he doesn't know how to fix it. Will turns towards the door. Sonny asks him where is going. Will says that they are not going to solve anything like this. Sonny accuses Will of running away from their problems. Will knows that he has been lately and there’s no excuse for that. There’s no excuse for a lot of what has happened. Sonny wonders what that means. Will backtracks and says that he thinks he will stay somewhere else tonight. They both need to cool off. He doesn’t want to fight like this with Arianna in the next room. That was his life growing up. He is not doing it. Sonny tells Will to wait, but Will goes.
Victor’s Club
Kate cannot believe that Victor is throwing them out. Clyde points out that its him that Kiriakis wants out, not her. Kate is sure that Victor would be amused by her being thrown out as Clyde’s plus one. Jordan thinks they should take Rafe’s advice and leave. Clyde and Kate do just that. Chad asks Jordan if she is alright. She is. She’s grateful that Rafe did that. Chad points out that Clyde and Kate both seemed convinced that Victor wanted Clyde out, so Rafe may have just been doing his job. Jordan supposes that could be true. Abigail suggests to Ben that they find a way to forget all of this business. Ben suggests a dance. Chad thinks that is a great idea and both couples head out on the floor. The men watch each other like hawks, the earlier tension between them festering...

Eric can’t believe Daniel brought Nicole. Daniel thought they discussed this. Is Eric not over Nicole? Eric insists it is nothing like that. He just never would have brought Serena here tonight if he thought Nicole would be there.
Inside Victor’s Club
All looks well at the club until Rafe spies Nicole and Serena going at each other, with Nicole landing on an easychair. “Oh, come on, Nicole…” He is about to go break up the fight when Kate enters the club and gets in his face. Kate is glad that he got back on his feet so fast. He is moving on up in the world. Rafe still wants to see to his fighting patrons, but Kate is not going away, so he engages her. “Flying solo tonight? Too bad. I suppose this isn’t really Weston’s scene.” Kate quickly corrects him. Clyde will be along.
Outside Victor’s Club
Clyde is on the phone, conducting business. Ben and Abigail approach and do not notice him at first. He sees them and hangs up the phone. “Oh, Mr. Weston, hi! I didn’t know you would be here tonight,” Abigail says, despite Ben’s reluctance to greet his father. Clyde is hoping that his being here won’t be a problem as he looks at Ben. Abigail doesn’t think so. “Right, Ben?” Ben shrugs and thinks Abigail and he will go inside. Clyde watches them go with a leer.
Inside Victor’s Club
Serena continues to give Nicole hell for bumping into her and doesn’t believe her story. Standing up, Nicole thinks Serena has made up her mind about Nicole after knowing her for five seconds. “That was enough,” snarks Serena and Nicole begins to go for Serena when Eric and Daniel come barreling in and separate them. “Nicole, what the hell is wrong with you?” Eric asks as he holds back Serena, and Daniel holds back Nicole.
Outside of Will’s Office at SONIX
“Paul, wait!” Paul stops walking and turns to Will and asks him why he should wait. It is clear that Will wants to out him in this article, and Paul is simply not ready to handle it. “Look, I’m sorry I pushed. This article is very important to me.” Paul looks at Will intently. “And what about me, Will? Am I important?”
Inside Victor’s Club
Kate watches as Daniel and Eric pull Nicole and Serena apart. Snidely, she remarks how Nicole never did have much class. Rafe asks Kate if she ever quits? Kate scoffs and Clyde enters the club. He wonders if there is a problem. Rafe says no. He has to go and help a friend, if they’ll excuse him.
Nicole tries to begin to explain what happened, but Serena talks over her. Finally sick of their antics, both Daniel and Eric place their hands over the respective woman’s mouths. Eric tells Serena that he knows the manager of the club and the last thing he wants to do is have Rafe throw them out five minutes into this club opening. Daniel agrees, as its his godfather’s club. “Now, will someone - calmly- explain what’s going on right now.” Eric takes his hand off Serena’s mouth first and she takes a deep breath. Daniel releases Nicole and she also takes a deep breath. Serena begins, saying that she was minding her own business, back turned from the bar when all of a suddenly an ice cold martini splashed down her back. Daniel asks Nicole if she purposely did this. “Like I would waste a good martini on this bitch,” she snarks and Eric chides her. Nicole tells both men to relax. It was a joke. The comment, or spilling the drink on me, wonders Serena. “Look, I just picked up the drink from the bar. This guy collided with my hand and it spilled on Serena. I didn’t even know it was her!” None of them believe her. Rafe says he does.
Outside Will’s Office at SONIX
Will insists that of course Paul is important and his feelings and opinions matter. Will asks Paul to please come back inside the office. Paul does. Will swallows hard before following him inside.
Inside Will’s Office at SONIX
Will thanks Paul for not walking away. He knows that this is a very emotional subject. Paul thinks that Will had it pretty easy. Compared to some, maybe, admits Will, but it was still pretty crazy. True, he had his supportive grandmother, but she’s a shrink, so that was to be expected - and his other grandmother is involved in fashion and cosmetics. That was hardly going to lead to homophobia. The worst part was having to face his grandfather, who is a cop, and was leading the investigation into the murder he was a suspect in. Will points out that it’s kind of awkward when you haven’t come out to your grandfather and you have to explain that your alibi is you with a guy friend at the only gay bar in town. “Then, it hit the papers, and everybody knew,” Paul says. Will nods. He thinks maybe that helped put things into perspective. Paul asks more about his grandfather - the cop. Will admits that his grandfather had some difficulty with it. He thought he knew Will and this felt like he hadn’t known him at all. Paul is not sure that can compare with what lies in store for him. Will knows what Paul has to face is not the same. Everyone’s coming out story has its share of challenges and they are each different. Will thinks that Paul’s status as a ball player makes this story so important. Paul thinks he realizes that. Will sees the time and realizes he is running late. Paul wonders where he needs to go in such a hurry. He’d be happy to entertain Will in a more intimate setting.
Victor’s Club
Abigail wonders what has gotten into Ben, being so cold towards Clyde. Ben doesn’t want to think about Clyde or his sister or any of that drama. He just wants to enjoy the evening and avoid an altercation like the one over by the bar. Abigail cannot believe Nicole is already getting herself into trouble so early in the evening. Ben is right. They should focus on having fun tonight. Ben says he will order them some drinks.
Clyde asks Kate what was with Hernandez. Kate tells Clyde not to worry about him. Clyde orders them both drinks. Ben comes up to the bar, and Kate tells him that he cleans up very well, just like his father. Ben thanks her and turns to the bartender to order drinks for Abigail and him. Clyde cannot help but notice Ben’s ignoring him. “Maybe I just don’t like the fact that I felt forced to lie to my sister. I appreciate everything you have been doing for me and for Jordan, but Jordan has done so much more for me, and I let her down. That’s on me, but if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have ever been in the position to disappoint her.” Ben takes his and Abigail’s drinks and walks away. Clyde sighs. Kate tells Clyde not to worry. She’s had her share of drama with meddling in children’s lives. Ben will get over it.
Nicole suddenly realizes that Rafe may have seen everything and asks him if he did. He confirms. Eric thinks Rafe is lying to protect Nicole. Daniel points out it wouldn’t be the first time. Rafe insists that he is not. He’s gotten into enough trouble lately lying for people he cares about. He can break out security tapes if they need. The guy bumped into Nicole on his way to the men’s room. Daniel says that explains why Serena never saw him. Serena is livid and embarrassed. Eric tells Serena that its not too late to save this night and they walk away from the other three. Nicole thanks Rafe for his help. He smiles and walks away. Meanwhile, Nicole turns on Daniel. “Why couldn’t you even consider the fact that I might be telling the truth?” Daniel tries to smooth things over with Nicole, but she is out of there. He can pay for the drink she never got to imbibe.
Will’s Office at SONIX
Will emphasizes that he wants to keep their relationship professional. Paul teases Will for being no fun. Will wonders if he has convinced Paul to come out. Paul thought he was ready, but he’s not sure. He has to think about it. Will sighs. He understands. He asks Paul if Paul will not wait too long to tell him what his decision is. He has got to get this article done. He’s got editors breathing down his neck. Paul swears he won’t keep Will waiting - and it's clear that he means that in more ways than one. Will blushes and smirks a little and tells Paul to call him when he’s ready. Paul says that he will and watches Will leave.
Victor’s Club
Ben returns to Abigail with drinks. Abigail asks him if everything is alright with Clyde and him. Ben’s not sure. Clyde comes over. He wants to get something clear. Ben is ready for a fight, but Abigail convinces him to listen. Clyde reminds Ben that his donation to Jordan and Abigail’s project was supposed to be anonymous. He talk to lawyers and everything. Ben wonders if this means Clyde is going to have him arrested. Jordan, who has just entered with Chad, doesn’t think Clyde will do that.
Outside of Victor’s Club
Nicole takes out her phone. “I’m ready to talk more about Serena Mason.”
Here's what to expect
-No upcoming cast changes, unless connected to the show's prior decisions. At this time, Chrishell Stause's Jordan Ridgeway is still on the chopping block.
-A shift in the tone of the writing, compared to the show. No character is perfect, propping will cease to exist, relationships between characters will be cemented and make sense (to some degree), flaws will be embraced, and things will be generally more character-driven
-Expect more balance.
-The blog will start out using the show's spoilers to frame its episodes. As time goes on and the stories diverge, that will change.
