what do you base character powers on sub-ability wise? powerwiki? or do you just make it up as you go (within reason ofc)
hi anon,some of the powers in the list are from powerwiki, some are just made up ( to make them ‘reasonable’ within range ) - the list that’s up is really just there for ideas or inspiration and - as noted - not an exhaustive list. so if there’s something you might be interested in that isn’t on the abilities list already, you’re welcome to shoot us an ask!

Yes we are! We’re a little quiet right now, but real life kicks in now and then - but we’re certainly still open and would love to welcome new players!
so when someone is 'revived' and everything, does everyone in their old life just not recognize them and think they're still dead or are they 100% erased and its like they were never there?
hi there anon,yep pretty much! to their old life, ouroboros members would be either considered dead or missing ( depending on the circumstances of their original death ). they look the same, still have the same name, even sound the same, but if they approached someone who would know them from their old life, they simply wouldn’t recognise them - there’d be something of a ‘blur’ - while family, friends, partners would still mourn their loss, they simply wouldn’t see the person standing in front of them as the person they lost!
hopefully this makes sense - but if you’d like any further clarification, please feel free to send in another message!

Hi there anon,Ouroboros members could be chosen from any walk of life - so really there are no limitations on character type - the possibilities really are endless. Â
Characters could;
embrace their new life in ouroborous and thrive on their new and rather unique opportunity.
resent it, begrudgingly accepting because they simply don’t want to die, become more of a protagonist to the group, while sticking to the thinnest letter of the member rules to make sure to hang onto their new life and gifts.
be terrified of the monsters and struggle with the conflict.
be bloodthirsty and a little unhinged in those battles, giving concern to other members about their motivations.
We’re all for a diverse range of characters with different goals, aims, challenges, tests. The good, the bad, the apathetically indifferent, the hero the villain, the protagonist, the antagonist, the morally immovable, the licentious or lascivious, the secretive, the secluded, the enthused the eager –

At first when the voices started you tried to shut them down. Screams of pain and rage, demanding to be heard. You lost everyone you loved and the cries of your young daughter almost drove you into madness. No matter how many people you help nothing would ever bring them back.
When you were offered a deal, you accepted it. You wanted vengeance. You wanted to make them pay for the ones they had taken away from you.

To an outsider of your circle you would appear and act like an ice queen. Your kindness is reserved for the ones that lay in your table. They need the guidance that you provide and deserve justice for the life that was stolen from them.
You are a source of wisdom. An expert on occult items, in traces of the otherworldly. Everything has a price and you fear that someday you will pay for that knowledge. The voices in your head keep getting louder leaving no space for your own.
What if you went a little mad? As long you get the job done and no one discovers your secret it should be fine. Until it stops being.
