25 days, 157.3 miles & 4714ft of elevation later…
Exhaustion is difficult. Real exhaustion. Where your body is basically dead on it’s feet. That was day 15. Running through that is really difficult. That only happened a few times though. That picture below? That’s not exhaustion. That’s just a hangover (day 24).
#adventrunning day one
I’m pulling up my socks, tying up my laces, running down the stairs and bolting out the door. Yet I’m deep in thought.
It can’t be the times. I pretty much plateau until I decide I’m not.
I’m not competitive in the sense that most relate to. I simply don’t care if you overtake me. Even on track. Couldn’t give a fuck, in all honesty.
I run alone.
I run with others.
I don’t prioritise either, they serve different purposes for me. So it can’t be that.
I just don’t know. Maybe I am getting slower. Maybe that’s it.
And when I was stood outside of Primrose Hill yesterday in the pouring rain whilst it was flooding all I could think (dangerous, eh?) is what am I doing here?
And I grinned. And ran.
