Soooo.... lots has gone on since I was last active here.  Last time I was active I was in a horrible mental place. I was severely depressed and my anxiety had gotten worse. I was in a horrible emotional state and mental state and financial state and I didn’t have enough energy to get out of bed, let alone RP anymore. 

Now? I’m properly employed, medicated and pretty happy. MY unmedicated ADHD has been medicated and I’m feeling so much better. I’m on depression and anxiety meds that help and I’ve learned healthy coping mechanisms and solutions that have helped. AND, I’m finally changing my first name! Legally! I’m so excited ya’ll, you have no idea how much this will be helping me in my identity!!!

So yeah, I’m in a better space and I hope you all are too! I’ll be fiddling with this blog a little in the future so... consider this a tentative-pre-return!

Alternately, nearly all of the books that have made up the 20/40 books I’ve read this year are Junji Ito horror and I’m not sure if I should consider that a success.

Fellow roleplayers,

Thank you for giving original characters a chance. Thank you for interacting with them, for going the length and wanting to interact and write with them. Thank you for encouraging creators or original characters to develop more headcanons, to tell the world more about their characters and their world building, for allowing creators to explore their characters together with you. Thank you for showing creators that, despite all the bias and preferences of canon characters, they are welcome and that their original characters do have a place in the community, in the universe they are set it, and that they are cherished by you. 

Hopefully, you will continue staying optimistic and continue giving original characters a chance.

Fellow OC Creators and writers,

Thank you for sharing your creativity with us. Thank you for introducing your characters to us, for having the courage to step forward and show your creation to the world. Thank you for adding new layers to exiting universes and for expanding it, for exploring new sides of characters and for adding more fun to the whole story. Thank you for sharing drawings, writings, headcanons, meta posts, moodboards and simply everything with us. 

And most importantly - and I cannot stress this enough - thank you for not giving up. It’s harsh writing an original character, no matter the fandom. It’s scary, it needs courage, and it might be a hard time to experience. It might be discouraging and it might be tempting to give up. But you didn’t. You don’t. You are still here and we are thankful for it. 

If, sadly, it’s too much for you, and it’s nothing for you, please don’t feel bad. Thank you for showing courage and stepping out of your comfort zone, and thank you for trying! Thank you for all the great experience you gifted us, and hopefully, one day you will find the courage to return again, if you really want to!

Let’s continue writing amazing stories together. Let’s continue giving each other a chance and pushing each other in our creativity and our creative abilities. Let’s continue writing together, canon and oc characters alike.

Hey, so... My opinion doesn’t matter and I’m not too active rn, but...

If you do not like OCs.

If you do not interact with them.

If you actively try to ignore them in the rpc.

If you make up a bullshit answer of “Well they’re shitty/I’ve come in contact with shitty ocs”...

If you don’t accept them AT ALL for whatever reason because you think you’re all that...

1. You can fuck off. Being selective is different than being an asshole. All that up there? That’s being an asshole.

2. you can unfollow me. I don’t want to know you, I don’t want to interact with you, and I cannot stand you. I do not need you in my life. Go away.

If you have an OC...

You’re awesome.

You’re brave.

Thank you for creating a character to enrich the universe

I’m proud of you for accomplishing character development.

It’s ok if you’re still learning. Canons had to start somewhere too.

You’re wanted. It may not be by all, but the few of us that do open our arms for you because you’re wonderful.

You can come to me for advice, to talk, anything you need to make your OC the best they can possibly be.

A secret: some OCs are SO MUCH better written than canons. I’ve seen some shitty canon rp’ers, don’t let that be the standard. Rise above it.

If you’re an OC ally...

Stand the fuck up.

Speak out. Hold OC haters accountable. Call out culture is shitty, but it’s because we don't call out for the RIGHT reasons. Call out OC haters so those of us that approve and love OCs can make sure to ghost them. 

Mentor, love and teach newer writers! A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle!

Check on your OC friends. It’s a harsh RPC out there. Be their shield!

Teach acceptance, make sure RIGHT information is overshadowing WRONG.

BE FUCKING NICE TO EACH OTHER GODDAMN.
