Yeah, he certainly did need to work on smiling more. But he didn’t really have a reason to here. Not for now, at least. At least, it was at least an effort upon his part on doing so he didn’t feel half as bad as he should for not smiling properly. His new partner seemed a bit scared, or maybe that’s just what it felt like. Zaveid’s wind reading skills weren’t so good in this closed place, so he wasn’t certain if it really was just him being scared. Either way, he wanted to make a good impression on his new partner.
His reward for his efforts was a smile and a timid thank you. So he wasn’t too far off from the thought that his new partner was, well, a bit afraid. Or maybe that was just how he thought. Either way, noting the wolf and how his new partner talked to the pup, maybe it wasn’t too bad to have this guy around… was it? The wolf’s name was Quenstedite, and Zaveid figured that was a strange name. (Not that he should talk, though. His name was strange in itself)
But, other than that, kid seemed nice.
“The name’s Zaveid. Nice to meet ya.” He looked over the boy’s shoulder into his room. “Guessin’ you brought some pets with ya. That’s better than comin’ here alone.”
Emil Was able to get Quenstedite to move off him slightly and be less curious about the stew, but it was obvious that Quenstedite was mostly curious about the guest. Emil could tell Zaveid was at least a nice person. If he wasn’t, his wolves would have been acting very differently.
“I-I’m Emil. The blue one is Quenstedite. He’s a Fenris ice element. The brown one-” That was currently on the floor on it’s back acting like a happy dorky pup “is Iord. He’s a Cerberus fire element. and the white one-” Who had clearly decided to claim Emil’s bed as their own, pretending to look like a smart regal doggo, when was also just as much of a dork “Is Nirai. He’s an Orion light element. U-Um.. Would you like to come in? We could chat and get to know each other better” Emil didn’t mind the company afterall. It was sweet of Zaveid to welcome him so warmly despite the circumstances of why anyone was here.
“Emil, huh? Nice name.” Quenstedite, Iord and Nirai, too. At least now he knew his partner’s name. Would he like to come in? Hell yeah, he would. Giving a chuckle, Zaveid made sure that he didn't accidentally bump Emil as he walked into the other's room. It was nice, honestly, and looked pretty comfy. Then again, that was probably the wolves doing the last part. Looking around, Zaveid was able to find a place to sit and did so, smiling at his partner.
He still needed to work on smiling.
"So, Emil. You wanna know anything about me?"
