Question for any alumni: should I get a comforter or quilt for the dorms? I know it's hot in Florida, so what do you recommend.

I had a full bed set, comforter included. You might not want to sleep under it all the time but it’s good to have it there. It can get chilly in the apartments some nights. Also being from the north my bed would have felt empty without it! :)

A quilt sounds to heavy and thats just my opinion of course. I’m one of those people that can’t sleep without a blanket. A good alternative could be just a throw blanket to keep on your bed too :) they’re usually light and you can get them in hundreds of different styles!

I don't feel guilty taking a seminar for fun. This is my program too and it's not my fault that I won't be getting credit for them. I shouldn't be made to feel guilty because I want to make the most out of my experience.

people are throwing out guilt trips for that? really? There will be more people who don’t get credit than those who do so you’re in the majority here :)

Why does the parents page exist? Like why are parents so involved? Everyone who is doing the program is an adult so parents are pretty irrelevant to the program. (This is coming from someone whose parents are still pretty involved in their life, but understand I make the choices now that I'm an adult)

to anons about ppl w/ allergies: i have an allergy to certain fruits that set off a reaction that can actually get the guest sick if i come into contact w/ things they ingest. tbh idc if im f&b, i just wanna make sure im not around pineapples, oranges, lemons, or limes to the extent i can get a reaction from them. i dont need a "better job" just hoping for somewhere i dont have to worry about this like an ice cream or candy place or something IDK JUST NOT WHERE THERE IS DOLE WHIP IS ALL IM ASKIN

I know I'm not the only one who comes on here during down time or while I'm winding down for bed to read the latest happenings on this page. To the kid saying everyone needs to calm down and stop freaking out about scheduling classes, I'm sorry but if I don't get in to this one specific course, I'm not going to receive financial aid, and I don't have $5,000 lying around to pay out of pocket, not to mention if I don't take it I can no longer graduate on time, which will put me another $8,000 in debt... I'm sorry if I can't calm down....
