Come read my blog and laugh along at me. No money is made off this. Just me rambling on.
Two kids napping. One in time out. One in the shower. One talking to dad. I just peed on my own for the first time in years. No toddler trying to climb on my lap or pass me things I don't need. No fighting outside the door. No one standing in the door way while I try and listen patiently, all the while knowing I am seconds away from wetting myself. Just me. Bliss.
Apparently on average, a kid asks around 300 questions a day. That must be nice. Mine just answer questions I didn’t ask, then give me a list of reasons I am wrong.
Oh man, I swear these school holidays have been going for months! My children are driving me insane. On a separate note, at what point do you think it is acceptable to just punch a kid for being annoying? Asking for a friend.
I feel that apocalyptic movies greatly underestimate the deterioration of man made structures and surfaces. I mean sure, Roman works are still standing the test of time. Though out here in country Australia, one light Summer shower makes the main roads a pot holed, mine feild. I just doubt that road maintenance lands high on the to do list of post societal downfall. But damn do people love to gun it down those big wide open freeways once the world has fallen into disrepair.

My son bit someone at playgroup today. There was a lot of crying. I had to leave because I was making a scene.
Chocolate coated biscuits and coffee. Breakfast of champions!
Kids tv
Just watched a kids show encouraging recycling. Awesome. Take the item and throw it into the bin from a short distance. Making it a fun game for kids. Great. Only they used a brand new reel of paper. Scrunching it up to throw. What a waste. Good life lesson for kids.
Kids show judgment
Watching tv with kids. Four girls plan a surprise birthday pool party for friend #5. Friend #5 spots other girls practicing secret dance with out her. Girl #5 sad. Flash forward to party. The pool is empty. At the pool party... All five girls dance surprise secret dance on edge of pool that #5 doesn't know? Probably ends diving in pool. No. No it does not. Empty pool at pool party where #5 dances beautifully choreographed dance she doesn't know. Kids tv, you hurt me.
Just kid things

Sometimes I forget I have a child with a disability. He is so happy, so often, that I tend to let a lot of things go by without realising that they aren't entirely normal. Then there are days when things are so far from normal that I forget to eat, drink and at times, breath. I spent so long today holding him in a ball on my lap, singing to him while he screamed and shook that my body went numb. But I kept holding him anyway. After a long day, I tucked him into bed with his soft toys and kissed him good night. Tomorrow might be a good day, or it might not. Either way, I am so thankful for him. Because he may have his issues, but I have never known a happier child. And he gives me hope.
