Skull vs Ice - Operation Mind Control
Paseando por Salamanca. Canasta solitaria.
Let's play! A nursery scene.
As you may or may not know, for my day job I work in a nursery and out of school club as a playworker. I decided to paint a range of activities kids to in a day at nursery. I've painted painting, playdough, small world, instruments, picnic tea party, reading, building, cars and baby toys. I used watercolours, pen, pencils and digital to create this illustration.

Which activity was your favourite to play at play group?
Roslin Castle. ((A true ghost story, sort of!)
Roslin Castle is undergoing major restoration work just now. I scrambled around the slopes around it, ending up covered in mud, this is as close as I got to part of the work going on.
Now this wont look like much to most of you, but this is the door to the cellars/dungeons.
When I was a bairn this door was open to whoever wandered around.
One day on one of the may walks our family, Nicky Bruce' my mum's best pal and her bairns, and maybe a couple of stragglers from the street were on a walks.
Who remembers the 70's when we never had duvet's? I think posh people had then and they were called "continental quilts". Well on our walks we always took a blanket from one of our beds, remember the grey scratchy things Am sure you do.
Well most hauntings in Scotland, maybe in the world in general have a Grey Lady, google it, you know I'm right though So here we all are exploring the lower reaches of Roslin Castle and next minute Nicky Bruce and her daughter Lynn start screaming as a grey figure appears at the end of a corridor . I'm sure you can guess that it wasn't a ghost, it was my wee brother Alan with the grey blanket over him making ghostly noises!
