OKAY, so these two would know each other from the town council. tbh I feel like they probably have always gotten along, but I think that the witch thing has probably caused some tension b/c Isaac is like THERE ARE DEF WITCHES AMONG US WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!?!?!? Also, when Elizabeth is convinced that they died of natural causes, Isaac is like “they definitely did not i am a doctor i know what i’m talking about” (tbh he really doesn’t thanks to his v informal medical education but anyway)

But like, actually, I think besides all the witch stuff, these two would be such bffs. Like if Issac gave her some veggies from his garden she’d make like some zucchini bread and bring it back to him and would have tea and zucchini bread with him and idk talk about the latest book he’s read?

I also feel tho that it’s like “here they go again” when the witches stuff comes up because it’s like Issac being all: “THEY DEF DIED SUPERNATURALLY. I AM A DOCTOR, I KNOW THESE THINGS.”

and then Elizabeth is like: “But how can you prove it was witches? What, with all your medical expertise, can you tell me ACTUALLY ended their lives? And how did it have ANYTHING to do with magic?” and like patiently waiting for him to dig himself into a further hole.

But ofc as soon as the council is disbanded she’d turn to Issac like: “so, are we still on for bake sale prep on Thursday???” Like literally leaves all problems/issues at the door. <3

ooc / john + elizabeth

so idk what you have in mind for elizabeth’s romantic history, but i can actually see these two having maybe dated for a hot second??? i don’t think it was serious or lasted too long, but john’s been trying to move on from connie and I feel like he’d like Elizabeth??? idk thgouths??? either way, he’s def backing her up on the ~witches aren’t real~ thing at council meetings

omg, part of me wants to be like: “ABSOLUTELY, YES, THIS HAPPENED.” if only because I can also imagine Zach being like: ‘dude. dad. your girlfriend is six years older than me. sIX.’ and that would be hilarious. but honestly, I really really do think they would have liked each other a lot. John seems really sweet and Elizabeth is pretty adorably sweet as well. All about kids and helping them learn and grow in a safe and positive environment. And that also spills out into her life outside of work--always trying to cultivate positive feelings in the people around her. She’d also be SO HERE for how much John cares about and roots for Zach. Like, I think she’d be taken by how big his heart is and I think that more than anything would have convinced her to go on a few dates with John.

also idk how it went down but somehow i think it wasn’t Elizabeth’s idea to break up??? I also don’t think she harbors any bad feelings about it or anything, I think she still is friendly and stuff with John, but could kind of tell that his heart wasn’t a hundred percent in it. just kept hoping maybe that’d turn around???? so dind’t say anything about it??? but then it didn’t get any better and maybe he was like ‘this just isn’t working’??? and she was like: ‘well, okay, i understand. i want you to go after what makes you happiness. but let’s keep up cheesy movie nights? if that wouldn’t be uncomfortable, that is?’

So yeah, um, I hadn’t thought about this at all, but now i have a lot of feelings, do with them as you will. xDD

Regardless, Elizabeth will be glad to have someone on the anti-witch side with her. ;DD <3

Having grown up in the small town to a single mother, upon her mother’s death just five short years ago, Elizabeth overtook her mother’s role as Walcott’s grade school teacher. Even before her mother’s death, Elizabeth spent every waking moment in the small school, learning the ways of teaching. She has never really pictured any other life for herself– especially any other life outside of Walcott. As to the witches, she doesn’t believe they actually exist. Elizabeth believes that both gentlemen died of natural causes and any other explanation is merely an over reaction. However, this opinion has caused Elizabeth to seem highly suspicious to others in the town.
