4- Probably the earliest full version of The Scream, setting the tone for the others. 1893, Pastel
5- This version, from 1910, was stolen from the Munch Museum in 2004, but recovered in 2006. Tempera on cardboard
6- This version, 1895, was sold for nearly US$120 million, at Sotheby’s, in 2012 and is in the private collection of Leon Black.
7-8- These Lithographs from 1895 of roughly 45 prints were made before the printer repurposed the lithograph stone. The one on the right was hand colored by Munch.
9- The most famous and recognizable version, 1893, is located at the National Gallery in Oslo, Norway. Oil, tempera and pastel on cardboard.
