Itâs amazing what a single push in the right direction can do for you.
Throughout the entire time that I have been home today, Iâve succumbed to traveling into the black hole of YouTube with its Buzzfeed videos, etc. At around 11 PM, I finally realized that I actually have school tomorrow and there are things that need to be done. So, I started by clearing my messy desk of pens, markers, and scrap pieces of paper. Once all the mess was cleared, I felt more proactive about my time and what needs to be done. And from there, I worked for about four 25-minute sessions of studying without even realizing the amount of time that had gone by. If only I had done a single and small yet positive act sooner, I would have been done with my homework and studying sooner and have more sleep for tomorrowâs day. I wanted to write out this experience for myself (for the next time I am beyond lazy, which tends to happen often) and others who are absentmindedly browsing through Tumblr, looking for an escape from tasks to do, whether its homework, chores, or anything else.Â
Hope this inspires someone to act upon themselves in the right direction. :)Â
Introduction - orgnizedmess
Hey everyone! After a lot of thinking I have finally decided to start this studyblr, in order to study daily (which I never really did, oops.) and to beat procrastination in the face!
This blog was originally going to be called organizedmess, but since the nameâs already taken, it is ORGNIZEDMESS.
Here are a few facts about me:
You can call me by the name Glimmer.
Iâm in my last year of high school (Iâm so not ready for this đ°), thatâs Grade 12.
Iâm left handed (hey lefties!)
I study in a CBSE curriculum school, currently studying Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Informatics and English
I love stationery! I used to have this crazy liking for books (I have too many empty books), but I think now I like pens more, esp. after seeing all the different kinds of pens through different studyblrâs.
I can speak fluently in Hindi and English and kind of speak Arabic (not really tbh đł)
Hobbies: Singing, dancing, watching youtube videos (new found hobby), editing videos.
The blogs that I regularly followed before starting this studyblr, and have kind of inspired me are: @studyquill , @educatier , @studyign and @studyingcbse.
Honestly speaking, there are so many studyblrâs, so many students trying to improve their performance, that it gives me hope to give a try and improve my academic performance
#1 in the Ask You series !
Since I am a studyblr/bujo page, I consequently follow other studyblrs/bujo pages. While we are all passionate about bullet journalling and expressing ourselves through it, I wanted to start this series in hopes of finding other similarities or differences among us and be able to make friends/learn more about each other! With that being said, hereâs the first question in the Ask You series!
Answer: I really enjoy making home videos of my family, friends, and I. Whether itâs going on adventures, celebrating different occasions, etc. The videos hold memories that I always like to look back on when Iâm struggling in school/life or missing certain people. Iâve actually contemplated on uploading the videos onto YouTube but I donât know yet...
What about you?
Calling all studyblrs!
Hi! Iâm new here and Iâm looking for more blogs to follow!
Please reblog if you post the following: -bullet journaling -studyspo -studyspo for art majors (bonus points if youâre an illustration major) -study tips -organization tips
(Note: this is a side blog so if I follow you it will be on my personal blog)

This weekâs spread! Experimenting with colors each week that I normally wouldnât choose has been surprisingly more fun than not implementing any color at all.Â
Weekâs self-discovery: Step out of your comfort zone, even with something as small as switching up your weekly planner spread⊠You might be pleasantly surprised.
Bullet journal posts will be out every Wednesday and posts on notes will be sporadic! Senior year is becoming too hectic for me to be able to post every day or so. Much love!Â
âMy girl is holy, is sacred, is pure, is clean, is loved, is whole, is beautiful, is worthy, is okay, is alone, is just fine just the way you are girl just the way you look babe with that dirty mouth and those hands, wherever they have been and that sadness, whatever caused it and that anger, wherever it came from and that fear, who ever brought it you are my girl, girl, you are me.â - Warsan Shire. Â Happy International Womenâs Day!Â

Takeaway: When you doubt your chances of actually winning a scholarship, remember that you are creating the opportunity to win in the first place.Â

As a studyblr, I procrastinate. I have weak subjects, and I get stressed easily. I lie to myself, âYeah, this wonât be tested.â I quit my notes halfway because my motivation runs out, and when it returns, my forgetfulness and lack of organisation means that I donât remember them. I scroll through my dash and think, âWow. Iâm so much less dedicated, hardworking, passionate than these people. Iâm so much less than these people.â
I receive messages in my inbox that say, âWow. Youâre so inspiring.â And I can never fathom how someone could actually believe that.Â
And then I do. Because the words we type, documenting our day, and the photos we post, perfectly arranged - they show an impossible, unreal version of ourselves. The best angle of ourselves - neat handwriting, brilliant modesty, impeccable focus, and enviable responsibility.
Just like how you shouldnât unfairly compare yourselves to magazine covers, because they arenât real, you shouldnât compare your educational journeys to those of other studyblrs, because they arenât a full and unbiased representation of how other people actually study (unglamorously).
This is so important!!

Last weekâs spread! I took more of a diary approach and started in the middle of the week, because why not?Â
Side note: You donât have to read too much into the entries unless you want... It doesnât really matter. I just forgot to take a picture before filing the days in!
Hope everyone is ready for the blizzard thatâs coming to the NE tonight into tomorrow! Iâll be sitting by a fireplace with candles on and planning to sleep in... pure bliss.Â

#1 in the college spread series: Temple University.Â
Iâve been inactive for quite some time... which correlates to me not being on top of my studies as much. Lesson that Iâve come to learn:Â Itâs only realistic to have ups and downs as you work towards being successful in life.Â
Side Note: The second and third photos look like itâs just one big post of the spread like the first but theyâre actually separate, closer photos of each page!Â
