Summoning of any kind within a lab setting is so stunningly easy it's stupid. If your protection circles are graded for their strength by their precision, it's hard to get more precise than laser etching with a cnc machine.

it's also hard to worry about that when said lab has four automated sentry guns and usually one or two master wizards around.

the outpost that eventually became my center of operations was a partially buried castle. Once we restored it, it got divvied up into labs and archives and class rooms and libraries and living quarters and whatnot. They make great communal buildings

​huh. yeah, i guess that makes more sense. a castle always sounds like it's going to be a ton of work to manage to me, so it would need to have a use, what with the fact that they're so big!!!
