Leveling System

Tracks will work with a level system

All level one tracks will be released on default for you to judge on

This will be 10 Songs per character

From then on the songs are meant to become fewer and directly impacted by the events of the tournament

however, leitmotif got a partial upgrade from "Pink!Underswap" to just general underswap takes

heya, i thought i'd drop by just to make some small changes regarding "The Funkers"

to be honest these rules here were pretty poorly written so i've decided to reword them to make it less complicated to understand

the poor wording here was likely do to the fact that they're the oldest characters considered to actually make the the final cut (If you don't count Metal Sonic as a solo character)

It's good work though!

Such good work I'll tease something early

So after the tournament we've been thinking of releasing 3 small "Post Game DLCs" (Very small and simple ideas, They're mostly a way of using scrapped content)

Since this tournament is just a solo project, part of me was considering "The Track Builder DLC" in which I'd open a forum for community submission after everything!

The issue was I didn't know if this would be something people would be interested in.

Maybe it's worth doing

We'll see when we get there!

I also planned to host a survey to see which DLCs people we're most interested in!

Here's comes another update posts! See what's new!

This post mostly exists to address something missing from our character pages, Character descriptions! That's because we've been saving those for trading cards! These will have said character description along with low effort yet dynamic artwork using a simplified version of a scrapped aesthetic for our character renders.

They have 4 ranks

Staff - Used for Team Members

Main - Used for out Contestants

Half - Used for Separated Contestants

and the most interesting

Guests - Used for misc characters who appear in overlap one way or another (Reveal Trailers, Interview's, etc)

Cards will be posted after a character's first track

The idea is that they'd be like game collectibles

Me an Sans will have ours posted soon along with a page for documenting them so far!

I see lots of new eyes!

Concerned eyes, and i fully understand!

To try and put everyone's heart at ease I'd like to say that "Overstimulating Overlap!" was conceptualized as far back as December of 2023, And in September of 2024 things really started being tested in private. This was never just something started on a whim.

Now things have been heavily reworked and we're on the go!

If we fall it's a shame, But things are under control! And if they weren't, it wouldn't be on you. Now lets get back to our schedule!

I do NOT recommend using Tumblr for voting, since the votes are anonymous and thus unverifiable. Use something like Google Forms so you can ask for a form of identity verification

This is actually a good point!

All of the information and voting announcements will be posted here and I'll set up form links for the posts themselves!

We've also been planning to set up an art folder via drive too!

Today I'd love to announce a huge quality of life update along with other small things!

Here are a list of those changes

First things first, my favorite change! All links on the page and in the videos have been reworked to be much better. Now they link to a version of this page that is much better for desktop viewing in specific.

Change Number 2, we have updated all tracks so far to have all leitmotifs identified and rules explained in the descriptions. This will be the standard moving forward!

And the smallest change is last, Sans and I finally have source lists! They can be found on our introduction pages.

Sans: sounds like we might have a deal

LF 1200: We just might; However, what makes YOU our best option for this role.

Sans: i actually have a ton of experience in this field

LF 1200: Really?

Sans: yeah, judgment was kinda my job back in the underground

LF 1200: Oh that's great!

sans: so did i get the job

LF 1200: Yeah id say so!

sans: great, i say we shake on it
