A (very Girl Scout) sidebar I created for a recent publication.
Flyers are fun way to loosen up a bit — this is a quick one for a friend's lounge. This design will double as a flyer and a poster in addition to being circulated online.
rd. 3 on the invitation.
After a solid discussion and a few drafts, here we stand — I'm into it. I was able to keep the crisp feel and add a playful touch.
goal: a clean and crisp approach to an invitation geared toward a group of "techy" professionals.
Being that this is an event honoring Girl Scout alumna, I proudly incorporated the logo and signature Girl Scout typeface (Omnes) with a modern twist. This will surely catch the eye of any person remotely involved or interested in the Girl Scouts. After which, they will open the invitation, excitedly read the details of the event, and rush to be added to the attendees list.
This comp was not chosen, though, I am quite happy with it.
shirts are in!
Invitation Card: Forever Green Celebration
Every one of the Forever Green celebrations has taken on a style of it's own. Originally I planned to create a look and feel that would remain consistent, however, the various print items seem to have been dictated by the attendees and location rather than the event itself. It has allowed for some interesting treatments and I am learning a lot along the way.
a fun little social media jammer.
Some things don't make the cut
Sometimes you put in work only to realize that those 'things' you've created aren't going fit with the current project. This unfinished icon set is a good example. I'm sure these vectors will come in handy somewhere down the line.
Dressing things up…
finance loves using excel to create graphs …I am not a fan so I went ahead and jazzed this one up for a recent publication.
Stage Banner
This banner was originally intended to flank the stage during a Forever Green celebration in San Francisco, Ca. I designed it using a backdrop of the Forever Green Honoree names (hard to see in this photo) while combining vintage and current scout photos to help illustrate the diversity and legacy of the Girl Scouts.
It has since been used for a number of events and is holding up great. The picture above is from the One Hundred Fun Hundred celebration where the banner was put on display and people liked it enough to take photos with it. Success!
Email Blast: Forever Green Celebration
Being that 2012 marks the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts, the Girl Scouts of Northern California are celebrating by hosting a series of events throughout the year which honor a number of Girl Scout Alumnae with the "Forever Green Award".
This particular event was to be held in Rutherford, Ca and we wanted to send out an email announcement that would fit with the Girl Scout brand while showcasing that unmistakable Napa vibe. We all worked together quite well on this project and I am quite happy with the results.
T-shirt graphics: Camp CEO v.2
After delivering the Camp CEO t-shirt comps I could tell that the neon was not a hit (though it was my favorite). We also decided to scrap the surfing and go with an activity that is more relevant to the camp: ziplines!
The t-shirts are currently at the vendor and I'm looking forward to seeing the final product.
T-shirt graphics: Camp CEO
these are a few of the original t-shirt design mockups I created for the Girl Scouts of Northern California's Camp CEO. Camp CEO is a project "that brings together a select group of girls and executive women to build the next generation of leaders together."
When the team met on this project, it was decided that the design should have a 90's meets California surf feel. We were looking to do a 1 or 2 color print on a dark grey shirt. I immediately went towards a neon color scheme, knowing it would pop nicely with those sharp angles and checkerboard patterns. I also explored some more 'classic' approaches, using the Girl Scouts logo.
