Favorite anime?
I don't have a favorite anime, there's just too many to choose from. But Death Note and Elfen Lied are probably my top two- if you haven't seen them then you definitely should.

First Encounters | Owen and Lilah
Lilah drummed her nails on her desktop. It seemed like everything in her life was suddenly revolving around meetings. Not that she minded. It would just be nice to make contracts, or stop a good guy, or something. But instead she’s stuck with meeting after meeting. She was beginning to go stir-crazy. She wanted to go out. Then she checked her date book and perked up. Her next meeting was one she made.
About a week back, Lilah had made contact with a SHIELD hacker who seemed willing enough to work with with her. The loyalty over there was staggering. She’d of course taken several precautions; she had the Magic department curse the mainframe so that if a non-employee tried to login their head would explode, and all the most sensitive files were translated into an ancient language only their linguists could read. Standard procedure for such an operation, really. She was also planning to threaten him. Of course, she did that with all hostile clients.
Exactly on time, she heard a knock and a voice speak from outside her door.
"It’s open," she called, standing and smoothing down the scarf around her neck. Show time, she thought.
Owen offered his hand, as he observed his surroundings. Her office was at least three times the size of his, and a lot more was in it. There was no photos or posters, nothing that showed her interests at all, but there was a bar. Still, a fancy office didn't prove anything. Owen walked over towards the window , which took up an entire wall, and looked out. It was still raining heavily. He'd only ever met one lawyer, and that hadn't ended well, so Owen was on full guard. He knew they could be canny and devious, and he didn't want to end up signing up for something that he would regret. In his mind, he was just here to see what this Lilah woman had to offer.
Owen was determined to make sure that any deal he made, was his deal. Firstly, he wasn't going to give away any government secrets, mainly because he didn't know any. Secondly, the only reason that he was here was because he was a little rebel at heart, and S.H.E.I.L.D wasn't as well payed as he'd hoped, and he hoped that this woman realised that.
Technological Issues | Owen and Darcy
"I watch many a tv show in English, but I do like to throw some anime into the mix." She said. "Elfen Lied. No I don’t think so. I’ll have to look it up and check it out. See if it’s as good as you say it is." Darcy replied, making a mental note in her head to do that. "Most of the music I like is always a mixture of sound and lyrics. If the lyrics are dumb, no matter how catchy or awesome the beat is, I usually hate the song." She cocked her head to the side as she looked at him. "You mean like back when they thought rock and roll records had like devil chanting or something when you played it backwards? If you think about it though, that’s the media in general. A commercial telling us we want to be skinny followed after one that tells us we have to eat this food because it’s apparently so delicious." Darcy shrugged. "I don’t really try and let media influence my decisions. I eat what I want and do what I want."
Darcy was actually glad that her computer had decided to be an ass. Owen seemed like a pretty cool guy. She was glad that he worked in the same place as her. It gave her faith that there were indeed really cool people that she could relate too. Darcy was in no hurry to get back to work, having almost forgotten what she was doing as she was absorbed into this conversation. ”Death Note? Um duh. What true anime fan says no to that?” She replied.
Chuckling, Owen smiled. This girl was open minded and intelligent, if not a little stubborn. But then again, so was Owen, Maybe helping people with their computer problems wasn't such a bad task after all. He smiled at her comment about Death Note, it was the first anime he's watched as a teenager, and it had been his favorite ever since. "Now for the second question, Light or L?" He asked, L being his choice out of the two. The characters intelligence had always been something that Owen had been interested by.
Owen was reminded of the work he had to do by the bleep of on email coming through his phone, and he sighed. He would rather talk to Darcy for the next hour than do something else, but he supposed that he would see her again. "If you need anymore computer help, or just fancy a chat, then my office is upstairs. My email beckons me back to my work"
Technological Issues | Owen and Darcy
"Thanks. I’m a big music person." She smiled, glancing up at them. She didn’t mind sharing an office but she wanted to make her part her own, with things that she liked. Janet said she could make herself at home and her posters and figurines were a part of her. She watched him looking over her computer and figured he’d figure it out in a few minutes. Darcy rolled her eyes as he asked if she’d turned it off and back on again. "Yes I already tried that and it didn’t work. Good, because I kind of need a computer to work." She looked at him as got under desk. "How’s it looking down there? Because the view from here isn’t bad." She said. Darcy groaned. "Seriously? That’s all it was? Well that’s disappointing."
"Yeah, I watch a bit of anime here and there. Black Butler’s one of my favorites." She shrugged at his words. "Well I’d rather have Sebastian than a piece of tech. I mean he can do all that crazy stuff, where a machine cannot. Some more tech in the show might have been nice, though." Darcy was glad to find another anime fan. She didn't feel like there were many people she worked with that would be into that kind of thing. "You watch a lot of anime?" She asked, wondering how big a fan he was.
Owen smiled. "I don't think I've watched a tv show that's in English since I was a teenager" he said, "apart from x-files, obviously." He liked Darcy. She wasn't so big on technology but she liked anime, which meant he finally had someone to talk to about it. "Have you watched Elfen Lied? I think you'd like it." Elfen was one of his favorites; great supernatural stuff and a hint of tech and science- oh and a main character with pink hair, which was always a plus. Owen leaned on the chair, his shirt becoming really tight around his shoulders, making him look a bit like a teenager."I like music but I can't help but focus on the things they are saying, the things they could be feeding us. You know, subliminally?" He realised he was starting to rant when he finished talking- now was not the time for his paranoia and conspiracy theories to come to mind, they'd driven away enough friends in the past.
His office was a lot darker than this one, with grey walls and not alot of lighting (seen as he always had the blinds shut.) The only decoration he had was a wall scroll blue-tacked to the wall, a bobble head figurine of a Shinigami on top of his computer tower, and a lingering smell of coffee. That kind of summed Owen up really, in his mind- although to others he was probably seen as weird, or slightly crazy, as he'd been told thousands of times.
He really needed to get back to his work. But then again, he really wanted to sit and chat about anime for the rest of the day. He checked his watch, anxious about the amount of time he had spent down here, but he supposed it was worth it- seen as he had found a fellow anime fan. Now for the ultimate question- "Deathnote. Yes, or no?"
First Encounters | Owen and Lilah
Walking, Owen headed towards the address Lilah had gave him. It was a miserable day, and his grey jacket was slowly fading to black with rain water. The building he was heading towards was a sky scraper, and he could see it inching closer every time he stepped forward.Glass offices were assembled on top of each other, reaching towards the sky and reflecting it's light. Rain flowed down the windows, racing towards the dull grey pavement, where they would be intercepted by Owen's shoulders. As he reached the entrance, he decided that it was probably best to take off his dripping jacket, rather than leaving puddles everywhere. He carried it in his hand, and headed towards the elevator at the other side of the room.
The metal doors closed; Owen pushed the button for his level and moved to the back of the elevator. In the cage with him was a woman, who he assumed was a lawyer, like Lilah. The first thing he noticed was her black heels, that would no doubt make an awful sound when she walked- Owen shuddered, why did women feel the need to make such a piercing noise when they moved? Secondly, how did they walk in them? The doors opened before he had a chance to think about it; he stepped out and followed the signs to the Lilah's office- and knocked on the door. "Hello?"
Technological Issues | Owen and Darcy
Darcy raised an eyebrow at the snort, but didn’t say anything more. She supposed she should try and play nice since he was going to try and fix her computer. Not that she disliked him yet. It was a bit early to judge him completely. So far he was about in the middle, on the fence between like and don’t like. Darcy would have to wait to find out more about him before completely making a call on that. She looked over to see that he was licking around his wrist. Darcy couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle as she saw the sight. When he stopped she said, “Oh don’t stop on my account.” with a smile.
When she stepped out she nodded at his question and took off down the hall towards her office. She didn’t pay much attention to the offices that she passed, but rather kept her eyes on her path. They soon arrived at Darcy’s office. She had a few different nerdy figurines around her computer as well as a couple of small posters hung up. ”This is me and there’s the abomination.” She said, pointing to her computer.
Owen glanced around the room, “nice posters” he commented, noticing the figurines near the computer as well. He walked around the computer, noting that the specification of the computer was fairly basic, although Darcy probably didn't care. Sitting down, he checked to see if what Darcy had said was true and sure enough it did exactly as she described. Owen couldn't help but smile, the cause of this was simple. The solution was even easier. “Have you tried turning it off and back on again?” he chuckled. "It's okay, I can fix this in about three seconds." He moved the computer chair out of the way and got down on all fours under the computer desk, with a smile spreading across his face. "It wasn't plugged in properly" he said, as a smirk spread across his face.
He stood back up, and took another glance around the room. "Black Butler?" he questioned, looking at the anime figurines on the desk. "8 out of 10 in my eyes. Nice supernatural aspects but not enough tech." He picked the figurines and felt the weight of them. They weren't dissimilar to his own, except he had more - A lot more- around six shelves more. Although, he did have a bit of Black Butler merchandise himself, somewhere, probably hidden under all his Death Note stuff.
One of my all time favorites.

One Small Day
Technological Issues | Owen and Darcy
Darcy looked at him with an eyebrow raised. ”Are you trying to say that I’m not smart?” She asked. ”Just because I don’t know everything about technology doesn’t mean that I’m not smart.” She pointed out, placing a hand on her hip. Darcy couldn’t tell if his offer to help was him trying to show his superior intellect or if he was just trying to be nice. Either way she did need her computer fixed. ”Fine, fine. Yeah that would be good.” She nodded, accepting his offer. ”You some kind of tech geek or something?” She asked, looking him over.
"Darcy." She replied, taking his hand and shaking it. "Ah that explains it. I feel like I remember hearing about you hacking into some big important something and everyone around here was flipping out. It was quite amusing to see them like that." She chuckled. "I’m the assistant to the media woman." She replied. "I suppose it’s nice to meet you, though that will be determined by if you can fix my computer or not." She pressed a new button planning on going back up to where her computer was at.
Owen snorted. He didn't care whether she liked him or not, but he could sure as hell fix her computer, and he welcomed the challenge. Another thing about this woman that he had noticed was that she radiated attitude, and he wasn't going to be walked over easily. He looked down at his wrist to check the time, and noticed that he had a small smudge of chocolate on his cuff, and decided that licking it off was the best option- it was chocolate after all. After a few seconds of trying hard to get the kinder chocolate off, he realised he looked like a child eating food of his fingers and stopped.
The doors opened and he stepped out, "This way?" he questioned, as he pointed down the right of the hall. He scanned the room to fully absorb his surroundings, making sure he remembered every last detail, all the way down to the make and model of every computer in the room. They walked down the corridor, past offices and other rooms, all which looked the same to Owen. They weren't dissimilar to his own, except that no one came to his office because no one knew him. His office was still rather bland, he had an anime scroll on the wall and that was about it, apart from his computer and desk. After passing a few more monotonous offices, they reached what he presumed was Darcy's office.
And I hope you’re thinking of me As you lay down on your side Now the drugs don’t work They just make you worse But I know I’ll see your face again
Do Me A Favour|| Owen & Ginny
Ginny beamed at him, sensing him hesitance and trying her best to put it to rest. “Not long. Fifteen minutes at the most. I already did the fire test, and the ice test. I’ll have to do the shock resistance and gunshot tests once my equipment is back up, but I have no doubt it will do fine. I do, however need an actual person with some degree of intelligence, of which I have no doubt you more than qualify, to determine flexibility and breathability of the fabric. The suit is a new design of mine that should be more effective in those two categories than its predecessors. A lightweight shock resistant material I have been working on with R & D and a lightweight kevlar substitute that allows for more movement.”
She realized she was rambling as she strode over to her table, handing him a folded garment as she looked back to her lab door behind Owen. “And you can change in the lab and we can stay in there and no one else would see, if that’s what you’re worried about, darling.”
Ginny smiled up at him, he seemed a bit aloof, but she hoped that was because he was new and didn’t know many people. Ginny really did love this job and she loved meeting new people, making friends and things of that nature, and she hoped she would get along well with Owen.
Fire test? Owen was thankful he didn't have to do that- but gunshot test? He didn't like the sound of that! He took the garment from Iphigenia and walked towards the lab, fingering the material as he walked. It seemed soft yet strong, just as the woman had said- although he noticed it was a one-piece, and he was rather puzzled as to how he would get it on, without looking like a complete fool. He unbuttoned his shirt and tie, and folded them neatly on the table nearby. Balancing on one leg, he undid his shoe laces, untangling all the knots he had made trying to make sure they stayed on. He slipped out of his trousers and held the suit up in front of him. How on earth was he supposed to get this on?
After several minutes of trying and failing, he had gained several bruises on his hip from falling into the table, but he had managed to get the goddamn suit on. It was skintight and hugged his body, Owen would never wear anything like this out of choice, or anything tight at all. It wasn't that it wasn't his style or anything, it was just that it showed his body and he already hated what he looked like enough. Eager to get this thing off and get the tests over and done with, he walked out of the lab and sarcastically said "how do I look?"
He liked Iphigenia. Not in a romantic way, but she seemed honest, her intelligence was wasted on clothing design, but she obviously wasn't going to change her profession because of Owen's comments, and he knew that. He knew he was a bit awkward in social situations and had been told many times that he came across as arrogant, but to tell the truth, he didn't care. "Shall we get this thing over and done with?"
Technological Issues | Owen and Darcy
Darcy was working on her computer, typing away, when suddenly it said it was shutting down. ”No,no,no, NO.” She said, keyboard smashing and trying anything she could think of to keep it from doing so. The screen suddenly turned black and she groaned. Darcy tried to turn it back on, but it would only turn on for a second before turning back off. ”Damn technology!” She grumbled, hitting the monitor.
She sighed and pushed away from the computer. Since it was being a bitch she guessed she’d go take some files down to the department that they needed to go to. She grabbed them and headed to the elevator. When it arrived she saw that there was a guy already on it. Darcy entered and pressed the number that she needed. As the elevator started going it was silent for a moment before Darcy started talking. ”You know what I have a love/hate relationship with?” She asked. ”Technology. It’s really great when it works, but then when it doesn't it’s really frustrating and makes me want to throw the whole damn computer out of a window.” She ranted, to this stranger.
The stranger laughed. "Technology is smart. You have to be smart to use it" he chuckled. Owen looked at his watch. He supposed he had time- "Do you want me to take a look at it?" He asked, noting that he was becoming the technological technician and not the hacker. Still, he didn't really mind, technology was his specialty and fixing broken computers was part of the deal he guessed. The computers at the headquarters were not as good as he thought they would be, and the severs went down all the time, and a lot of the systems needed updating. He'd already started improving his work computer, switching part with spares he had at home.
"I'm Owen by the way" he said, offering his hand, "I'm the new computer hacker." It was still weird to him, his actual profession being what his lifelong hobby was, and he wasn't used to meeting all these new people, but he guessed he'd get used to it, with his memory being what it was. The other thing that Owen had noticed was the amount of people in this building, it seemed like there was an endless stream of new faces, all with different jobs and names, and his memory was working overtime.
[PM]: Hello, Mr. Knoll, my name is Lilah Morgan, and I work for Wolfram and Hart. Although, if you're as good at your job as I've heard you are, you probably knew that already. I don't like beating around the bush, so I'm going to come right out and say it. I'm in desperate need of a hacker, and I can easily double whatever SHIELD is paying you. I think we should meet.
[PM] Ahh Miss Morgan, I was suspecting that we may meet. 9PM tonight? You can pick where.
Do you do anything while coding (eat, listen to music, etc.)?
Most of the time, I just drink coffee, but yeah sometimes I play music.
Blue pill or Red pill?
Red Pill.
Do you cook for yourself? If so, what's the most complex dish you've ever made?
Yeah I cook for myself, but the most complex dish I've ever made is probably microwaveable curry with pilau rice. I mean, who has time to cook fancy meals? Not me .
