Wow, that didn’t take too long. I’m gonna owe Rhodey 20 bucks.
Getting someone files that they’ve paid for that got wiped by SHIELD is one thing. I don’t mind doing that for an acquaintance I’ve never spoken to before that’s connected to a team member.
I’m not Santa and I’m not here to fulfill your wish list.
Well it was worth a shot. But getting the files back is better than nothing, so thank you.
Several upgrades for the latest Starkphones which the public probably won’t see for about 5-10 years. If you prefer to keep with the iPod platform that’s fine, but SI has several music players that kick its ass. A few new tablets, several tweaks to my holographic systems, and more upgrades to my NanoGlass.
That sounds really awesome. Would these things be free to a friend like me? Cause you know not everyone's as rich as you are.

Pretty sure Coulson does whatever he deems necessary. You’re iPod was at the scene, it is protocol to put it in evidence. He did his job which I can’t say for most of the people around here.
He didn't have any right taking any of the stuff, much less my iPod. Things would have went a lot smother if he hadn't stepped in.
You know you could just actually go find them the hard way again. Maybe stop complaining and do something about it.
I could but that's not the point. He had no right to do that. It's not like there were governmental secrets on it or anything.

Technological Issues | Owen and Darcy
Chuckling, Owen smiled. This girl was open minded and intelligent, if not a little stubborn. But then again, so was Owen, Maybe helping people with their computer problems wasn’t such a bad task after all. He smiled at her comment about Death Note, it was the first anime he’s watched as a teenager, and it had been his favorite ever since. “Now for the second question, Light or L?” He asked, L being his choice out of the two. The characters intelligence had always been something that Owen had been interested by.
Owen was reminded of the work he had to do by the bleep of on email coming through his phone, and he sighed. He would rather talk to Darcy for the next hour than do something else, but he supposed that he would see her again. “If you need anymore computer help, or just fancy a chat, then my office is upstairs. My email beckons me back to my work”
By his chuckle, Darcy assumed she'd answered the question how he wanted. Not that she needed the approval of this guy, but he did seem cool and she wouldn't mind talking with him more about anime or anything really. She found herself wondering what type of conspiracy theories he believed. "Well they're both smart and Light tries to have the best interest in mind. I've always loved L though because he reminds me a bit of Sherlock Holmes with how he makes deductions. I've always been a fan of Sherlock and mysteries and such."
Darcy heard a noise and realized it must be his phone since she didn't have a tone like that. "Something important?" She inquired at his sigh. "All right. It was nice to meet you Tech Man. I will be visiting you at some point. You're one of the more interesting people here that I actually want to talk to." She replied, sitting back down at her desk. "Yes, go save SHIELD from the many technological threats out there." She said, smiling at him.
Making My Way Downtown|| Janet & Darcy
Janet laughed slightly “Don’t think of it as wanting you out of my hair, think of it as me wanting you to have your own space!” She smiled slightly at Darcy and sat down. “If that helps at all…” She shrugged and continued to smile at the young girl before her.
"I guess it could do with a bit of a repaint…."Janet glanced around the room a little to see if there was anything she could ‘get away with’ redecorating. Since this building and her office were SHIELD and government property she wasn’t very sure if there was anything specifically that could be "or a few throw pillows…"
"Sit down if you want! I doubt we’ll be spending much time in here anyway…" Janet smiled, beamed, at Darcy and glanced over to the smallish pile of reports she’d let build up. She’d moved onto email a while ago, but some reporters had cordoned on to the fact that if they annoyed her, she would class them as junk or block them from her email. She then glanced away, trying to avoid the subject of that work that they would have to do eventually. “Because we’ll have interviews and conferences to plan out and go to instead of being here!”
"That is a good optimistic way of thinking about it." She nodded, smiling. "I can just be a bit too awesome for some to handle sometimes. So don't feel bad if you feel the same way." Darcy said.
"Yeah, no offense but it's a bit bland. I mean I understand it's an office, but I feel like most people can't work in a bland environment. You need cool things to make you happy. Like posters and stuff." She nodded, looking around and trying to think of what she could put up. "Ooo could we have like a pile of pillows in the corner or something for like nap time or destress time?" She asked, liking that idea a lot.
Darcy sat down in the chair and swiveled back and forth before turning around in a complete circle. "I have always loved these chairs." She grinned. "That sounds exciting. Get to be on the tv and tell the regular folks what's what." She nodded. "I've seen a few things you've done, but what have you been working with lately? Like what kind of questions will I need to expect?" She inquired curiously.
Technological Issues | Owen and Darcy
Owen smiled. “I don’t think I’ve watched a tv show that’s in English since I was a teenager” he said, “apart from x-files, obviously.” He liked Darcy. She wasn’t so big on technology but she liked anime, which meant he finally had someone to talk to about it. “Have you watched Elfen Lied? I think you’d like it.” Elfen was one of his favorites; great supernatural stuff and a hint of tech and science- oh and a main character with pink hair, which was always a plus. Owen leaned on the chair, his shirt becoming really tight around his shoulders, making him look a bit like a teenager.”I like music but I can’t help but focus on the things they are saying, the things they could be feeding us. You know, subliminally?” He realised he was starting to rant when he finished talking- now was not the time for his paranoia and conspiracy theories to come to mind, they’d driven away enough friends in the past.
His office was a lot darker than this one, with grey walls and not alot of lighting (seen as he always had the blinds shut.) The only decoration he had was a wall scroll blue-tacked to the wall, a bobble head figurine of a Shinigami on top of his computer tower, and a lingering smell of coffee. That kind of summed Owen up really, in his mind- although to others he was probably seen as weird, or slightly crazy, as he’d been told thousands of times.
He really needed to get back to his work. But then again, he really wanted to sit and chat about anime for the rest of the day. He checked his watch, anxious about the amount of time he had spent down here, but he supposed it was worth it- seen as he had found a fellow anime fan. Now for the ultimate question- “Deathnote. Yes, or no?”
"I watch many a tv show in English, but I do like to throw some anime into the mix." She said. "Elfen Lied. No I don't think so. I'll have to look it up and check it out. See if it's as good as you say it is." Darcy replied, making a mental note in her head to do that. "Most of the music I like is always a mixture of sound and lyrics. If the lyrics are dumb, no matter how catchy or awesome the beat is, I usually hate the song." She cocked her head to the side as she looked at him. "You mean like back when they thought rock and roll records had like devil chanting or something when you played it backwards? If you think about it though, that's the media in general. A commercial telling us we want to be skinny followed after one that tells us we have to eat this food because it's apparently so delicious." Darcy shrugged. "I don't really try and let media influence my decisions. I eat what I want and do what I want."
Darcy was actually glad that her computer had decided to be an ass. Owen seemed like a pretty cool guy. She was glad that he worked in the same place as her. It gave her faith that there were indeed really cool people that she could relate too. Darcy was in no hurry to get back to work, having almost forgotten what she was doing as she was absorbed into this conversation. "Death Note? Um duh. What true anime fan says no to that?" She replied.
One day I'll be a good driver
Why do I need to find someone else for that? I know how to drive, I’m just not very good at it…it’s something I never really enjoy. I should probably stick to the subway.
Need I remind you how you almost killed your superboyfriend when you first met him? Good thing he's super or you might have killed him and then where would your love life be? Speaking of which how's that hammer doing?
Technological Issues | Owen and Darcy
Owen glanced around the room, “nice posters” he commented, noticing the figurines near the computer as well. He walked around the computer, noting that the specification of the computer was fairly basic, although Darcy probably didn’t care. Sitting down, he checked to see if what Darcy had said was true and sure enough it did exactly as she described. Owen couldn’t help but smile, the cause of this was simple. The solution was even easier. “Have you tried turning it off and back on again?” he chuckled. “It’s okay, I can fix this in about three seconds.” He moved the computer chair out of the way and got down on all fours under the computer desk, with a smile spreading across his face. “It wasn’t plugged in properly” he said, as a smirk spread across his face.
He stood back up, and took another glance around the room. “Black Butler?” he questioned, looking at the anime figurines on the desk. “8 out of 10 in my eyes. Nice supernatural aspects but not enough tech.” He picked the figurines and felt the weight of them. They weren’t dissimilar to his own, except he had more - A lot more- around six shelves more. Although, he did have a bit of Black Butler merchandise himself, somewhere, probably hidden under all his Death Note stuff.
"Thanks. I'm a big music person." She smiled, glancing up at them. She didn't mind sharing an office but she wanted to make her part her own, with things that she liked. Janet said she could make herself at home and her posters and figurines were a part of her. She watched him looking over her computer and figured he'd figure it out in a few minutes. Darcy rolled her eyes as he asked if she'd turned it off and back on again. "Yes I already tried that and it didn't work. Good, because I kind of need a computer to work." She looked at him as got under desk. "How's it looking down there? Because the view from here isn't bad." She said. Darcy groaned. "Seriously? That's all it was? Well that's disappointing."
"Yeah, I watch a bit of anime here and there. Black Butler's one of my favorites." She shrugged at his words. "Well I'd rather have Sebastian than a piece of tech. I mean he can do all that crazy stuff, where a machine cannot. Some more tech in the show might have been nice, though." Darcy was glad to find another anime fan. She didn't feel like there were many people she worked with that would be into that kind of thing. "You watch a lot of anime?" She asked, wondering how big a fan he was.
Making My Way Downtown|| Janet & Darcy
"I think we’d all enjoy that!" Jan beamed and laughed slightly,as she still listened to Darcy. She could see them getting on well, very well, in the coming weeks, months, however long they worked together. "We’ll what we can do about your iPod." Janet grinned at Darcy as she led the way to the elevator.
"It’s not quite your own office yet, you’ll be sharing mine - which is defiantly big enough for the both of us. It’s not like we can put our arms out and draw on each wall if we have pencils in our hands." Jan pushed the button to the level 12. "And you don’t have to worry about coffee, I’ve got a really good machine. But that machine sometimes ‘breaks’ around the time we a lot of paper reports in."
The doors opened before them, opening onto the corridor of offices. Jan walked to the nearest one and opened it - a number 1208. “Here we are. I’m not sure if you’ll get a separate office nearby soon, because North hasn’t talked to me about that yet - but it will probably be on this floor.” Janet smiled once again at Darcy. “Don’t worry about it though, make yourself at home!”
Darcy continued to follow after the other. She seemed nice and Darcy could see them getting on pretty well. "Great. I'd like it back if it's not completely wiped." She replied as they waited for the elevator.
"Don't worry about that. I had to share space with Jane all the time so it's all good. We didn't even really have an office, so sharing one will be just fine." Darcy assured her as she got in the elevator. "Oh I do love me some caffeine so that's perfect. I'm sure we'll figure something out if it does break. Maybe hit it a few times to see if that fixes it." She chuckled.
Darcy nodded and walked towards the now shared office. "I'm sure you'll want me out of your hair soon." She said, smiling. "Thanks." Darcy walked into the office and looked around, it really was quite roomy. She went over and plopped down in one of the more comfortable looking chairs and took in the view. "Yeah this is quite nice. Could use with a bit more decorating, but nice."
