This doctor, this team, saved my life. I am in remission. I am so thankful to each and every receptionist, secretary, nurse assistant, nurse, my psychologist, my psychiatrist, and of course my family, friends, and sisters. This has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do but I’m stronger for it. Thank to everyone who have sent cards and other gifts, I hang them around my room and during the hard days they remind me of my support to keep going. I appreciate everyone that understood my time off texting and social media, I love you all. This is a long process but I’m trying my best to get to the finish line and turn my clinical career towards helping others diagnosed with cancer. If you or anyone you know has gone through this, please reach out! Thank you to @atriumhealth and every employee there, you are my family for life and made every chemo as fun as it could! Hi everyone just wanted to send an update for those who do not know yet. I have been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and had to take a leave of absence from my doctorate program. I miss all my friends in Chicago a great deal and I’m hoping to be back soon. This obviously wasn’t my plan but I appreciate all my close friends and family that have reached out via text, phone calls, sending me packages, and all your support. It sucks having to put my dreams on hold but I know my health comes first. Thank you to everyone for the love. One year ago today I got on a plane with a few suitcases and moved to Chicago, not knowing a single person.
