Concept thing!
No one is going to see this because it’s like 3am, but you know, fuck it. Have some Woolhaven art I’ve spent too many hours on.
Following the incident, in which Aym lost his eye to Baal [assuming that’s how you believe it happened—at least in your universe]—did anything happen, between the brothers?
Was there further fighting?
Was Aym filled with anger? Was Baal filled with guilt?
Could their emotions have lead to unwise actions?
Nothing changed between the brothers after the incident; they still stood by each other. For them, given how and by whom they were raised, such actions were perfectly normal.
But Aym was hit hard by this situation, as his pride had been bruised during the battle.
The battle continued afterward, with Aym trying to improve himself to avoid being hit again. Baal didn't hold back or try; the master's recognition was more important than his brother's scars. After all, scars speak louder than any words about the battle, don't they?
Hatred and, especially, guilt were too complex emotions for them. Perhaps this situation sowed doubt in the brothers about the correctness of their actions, because hurting a brother isn't exactly cool, but that likely only came to light later, when they were brought back from afterlife.

They weren't "evil exes" per se. Their relationship was strangely close for a mortal and a goddess, yet incredibly distant for two gods.
Shamura first meet the lamb settlement and their goddess, who did not want to join the war of gods. She understood perfectly well that violence only leads to violence, and her people were the sacrifice for that violence.
There, Shamura tried to draw her into the war, showing her the benefits she could gain from joining. But all achievements required sacrifice, which the goddess could not make. Word after word, and the Shamura couldn't do anything. But the spider piqued Yngya interest; for the first time, she'd seen a mortal so furious and brazen. This fascinated her. In the cult, Shamura remembers nothing before the formation of the Old Faith and only fragments afterward. Yngya remembers nothing. Absolutely nothing. I don't give a damn about what she canonically remembered.
