How I engage my ADHD husband in the garden:
“This is my sage. Here, smell the leaf.”
“This is my basil. Here, smell the leaf.”
“This is my alyssum. Here, smell the blossom.”
“This is my parsley. Here, smell the leaf.”

Even MORE June flowers!!!
The larkspur (blue) SHOCKED me. I bought her three years ago at the clearance section and she died immediately in the sun.
OR SO I THOUGHT.
She just needed a minute! Popped out seemingly overnight!
The orange lilies shocked me too. I hit her with the weed whacker on accident and just left a little bit of the stem in tact. I thought the foliage would die, but she’s thriving too!
We got more flowers preparing to pop, like some white lilies and the rest of the coneflowers. More to come!
I'm learning about grafting.
My backyard is about to look like a scene from Frankenstein.
Cherries are apparently in the rose family. I have a black cherry tree, and I might be able to graft rose branches to it. That'd be crazy.
Ugh, never mind. While cherries and roses are in the same family, they aren’t in the same genus. And while most sources say ‘family’ they mean ‘genus’. Apples to apples, oranges to other citrus, etc.
Guess I’ll only be grafting cherries to my cherry tree (and in February when everything is dormant…)

I just really like taking pictures of flowers!

June stunners!
The lupine is new, but she’s THRIVING in that spot! (Hope it lasts….)
