it’s as if our worlds collided and it made the universe sigh

breathing out with a contentedness it was not capable of before our paths crossed

creating the butterflies in my gut while we kiss

and the wonder and awe i experience when our eyes meet

i feel you filling my heart mind and soul with an unimaginable happiness

experiencing it all as though i am in the middle of a cliche fairy tail

created through the mingling of our personalities

we have become the embodiment of meant to be

our future set, not because we have planned perfectly

but because we have determined that our futures consist of each other

i constantly question how i lived without utter chaos before graced with your presence

erasing the memory of a life without my love, my girl, my future wife

i forget that part of my existence simply because

never again will i not be privileged to experience the love you have for me

or the safety you’ve deemed me worthy of

and the immense beauty i’ve come to know as yours

Oh the places we will go

To New York City we will run

to moan at traffic and see snow by the ton

To Florida we will travel

to meet mickey mouse and watch our best memories unravel

To Japan we will proceed

to view amazing art and our mouths we will feed

To Canada we will advance

to ski and sled but we must pack warm pants

To South America we will trek

feeling the warm sun on our face and swatting bugs from our neck

To home we will go

but will we be sad? oh no

Because home is where

she lays her pretty hair

and while our trips will be a great affair

oh the place i️ want to go

with my heart all aglow

is right into her loving arms

while they shine bright to mask the darkness

kiss me under an old oak tree

it’s branches intertwined and oh so protective

kiss me under an infamous piece of art

while i imagine it’s beauty and am unable to compare it to yours

kiss me under the hood of my car

silently crying because goodbyes are ever so painful

kiss me under the mistletoe

thinking of all the future Christmas’ we’ve promised to share

kiss me under the roof of our first apartment

it’s walls bringing us closer than we’ve ever experienced

kiss me under the stained glass of a church

after we recite our vows and are officially and forever bound

kiss me under the pale blue clear sky

at our kid’s soccer game before we scream and yell and cheer

but most importantly

kiss me under the impression

it’s the last time you’ll ever get to do so
