I will no longer be writing or creating anything regarding Love and Deepspace following Infoldâs choice to cancel and remove Valko from the game. I will be creating content for Valko, any requests about him are still 1000000% welcome.
However any requests for the other 5 love interests will be ignored and all previous content Iâve written for them, including the âMy Loveâ fic for Xavier will all be deleted from my blog.

A QUICK BREAK FROM VALKO FOR SOME ASTARION DRABBLES
(Spoilers for those of you who somehow have avoided all details of the game at this point)
Okay so yâall know how like, if you donât lock Astarion down before you finish Act II he breaks up with you and heâs basically like âI only fucked u so u would protect me and help and youâve been like useless basically.â And then he dumps you?
Iâm thinking about like, Pride and Prejudice levels of silence between you and Astarion both, where you vaguely exist in the same circles and both slowly realize the error of your ways.
You were too focused on the main goal, neglected to focus on the needs of your party and their respective arcs, including Astarion, because you thought just rushing to get the tadpole thing figured out was the right thing to do. Figured side quests would only waste what little precious time you had, under some extreme pressure.
Astarion, as always, rejects things before they can hurt him (or at the very least before they disappoint him too much). He had his hopes up for you and the party helping him but quickly gave up on them once he didnât get the answers he wanted about his scars. Lashed out. Said the worst thing he could think of that he knew would hurt you. Whether he truly meant it or not doesnât matter once the anger subsides, because he meant it in the moment.
You retreat once he officially dumps you, something deeply hurt in your eyes, as you had assumed that what you two had was special. Even with everything going on, that there was something worth it beyond just surviving between the touches, the small shared bits, the passing glances.
He tells himself he doesnât care about that wounded look on your face. Maybe he means it at first. He doesnât expect that, once you get to the lower city, once his family shows up and announces Cazadorâs intentions, that you would back him up with no questions asked. Save him, even, once Cazador resumes his control over him unexpectedly. Defend him from all his tormentors over the years. He doesnât expect any of it. He weeps over the brutalized body of his abuser, and you donât make a big deal of it, donât coddle him, just wait. Let him have his moment. Support him. Give him that reassuring look that feels like a pit in his chest. Give him the space he asks for, all without even hinting at the fact he does absolutely owe you gratitude.
Even when he does, uncharacteristically, try to express his gratitude you just tell him thereâs no need. Say something about how you owed it to him after ignoring his previous concerns, and you just leave it at that.
Suddenly heâs wracked with guilt when he remembers how cruel he was to you, though he wonât show it. He feels like heâs been so blind, like he judged you too harshly especially when he knew you all had so much going on with the tadpole business.
He stews in it for days. Then, the final night before the whole âletâs all possibly die in a fight with the giant nether brainâ thing, when everybodyâs asleep, you hear footsteps come up behind you. You turn and see him, a strange look on his face that you havenât quite seen before.
the best fanfiction you've ever read was written by a woman in her 40s before she made dinner for her kids. it was written by a teenager after school when they should've been studying for a history test. and a barista came up with the idea while they cleaned the espresso machine and busser fact-checked it on their break and the post-doc edited between writing grant proposals and the nurse apologized for typos in the notes after a long shift and behind every drabble and one-shot and multi-chapter fic there is a person with a wonderful and interesting and chaotic life and it is such a privilege that we get to be apart of it because they decided to do this thing we all share, for fun.
