every day at 07:00 a.m. sharp, mama starts the process of waking you up by opening the curtains and letting some light in. for the next 30 minutes, you either go back to sleep, stretch, or stare at the ceiling, but sometimes you’re a grumpy little baby. you groan and yawn and complain, saying you don’t want to get up today. but come 07:30, she will sit you up on the bed while she looks for your robe and slippers, giving you a few more moments to get the sleepies out of your system. next, she puts you on her hip and carries you to the kitchen, where she sits you on the counter while she makes you breakfast, although sometimes when you’re feeling extra sleepy and tiny, she gives you a baba in bed. as soon as breakfast is ready, she carries you to the table where she feeds you, saying things like, here comes the airplane, open big for mama, or just one more bite, kiddo. when you’re done with breakfast, she sits you on the couch. sometimes, she lets you watch one episode of bluey while she prepares your bath. during bath time, you play with your toys and draw with your bath crayons, saying, mama, look you and me! she replies, aw my talented little bug. yes, baby, you and mama always and forever. after bath time, you sit on the bed with your hooded towel on while she picks out your outfit. which one do you want to wear today, baby? she holds up two shirts: a hello kitty one and a strawberry shortcake one. strawberry shortcake, please! you say excitedly. then she asks, skirt? pants? overalls, maybe? umm, skirt, you reply. next comes your hair, but you never worry. mama is so, so gentle when doing your hair. she softly detangles your hair with her hands and never ties your hair too tight. today, she went for a pretty updo with some accessories. look at my pretty little bug, she says, fawning over you. come on, let’s go pack your bag so we can start the day. we have a few errands to run today, and after that, mama has a surprise for you.

☆ Little alters in non-regressor bodies, regressor bodies/hosts with non-little alters and fictives are always welcome
☆ Regressors that don't want cgs and cgs that don't want regressors are perfectly fine
☆ Regression isn't limited to being able-bodied or a certain size. Shoutout to disabled regressors!
☆ Regressing doesn't have an age limit! Many people worry they're too old for it as the majority visible part of the community are minors or early-mid twenties
☆ You don't have to have trauma or a mental condition to regress. If that's your way of de-stressing, it's okay
☆ Of course fictional cgs are accepted and they would absolutely dote on you
☆ It's totally alright if you haven't been able to get into your little space in a while, there's nothing wrong with that or you
☆ Padded regressors get too much unfair hate (not talking about abdl/kink people. Please stay away and dni in that case)
☆ If you're worried you can't find/don't deserve love and friendship because you're a regressor (and it's a secret irl), don't listen to those evil brain worms! You're deserving of everything good and more

˚୨୧⋆。🌧️ tips for anxious / neurodivergent regressors starting a new school year
✏️ pick cute stationery ( pens, pencils, notebooks, notepads ) that makes you happy ! choose things that you feel excited to use, and that may help you feel a little less overwhelmed or anxious when doing busywork or taking notes. I also love putting cute stickers on my binder and putting cute pins on my backpack.
📚 make task-lists and break down big jobs into smaller jobs. be sure to take little breaks to help you regain focus and avoid burnout.
🌼 spend time outdoors when the weather is nice! wether that's doing your homework on your balcony, choosing to sit outside for lunch, or taking a little walk when you get home, I find that spending time outdoors helps me feel better when I'm stressed with schoolwork. ( also, opening a window a little bit to let in the fresh air is really nice as well ! )
✏️ bring a small stuffed animal, toy or other comfort object with you to hold throughout the day ! if you feel worried about it, you can talk to your counselor about getting a note from the office saying that it's okay incase a teacher asks you about it. Also, if you're worried about being judged, you can always just keep them in your bag until you feel brave enough to have them out with you ( even though in my experience, no one really minds. ) 💛
📚 Put affirmations on the inner-cover of your notebooks, binders, laptop ( if it's a gentle adhesive ) or your planner to remind you how brave and awesome you are! some of my favorites are "your worth isn't determined by your grades" , "you are resilient against academic challenges" and the Winnie the Pooh sticker inside of my planner that says "you can do hard and scary things". ૮꒰ྀི∩´ ᵕ `∩꒱ྀིა
🌼 most importantly, don't be shy to ask for help, extra time on assignments and take advantage of disability recourses! you are not a burden or too much for being disabled or not being able to do things the way everyone else dose.
˚୨୧⋆。 also : I highly suggest getting a small to-do list pad and some slim folders to keep all of your assignments in. I also really love my clip-folio and use it every day hehe !

but baby wasn’t as relaxed as she seemed. her body was comfy but her mind was going fast in mean circles, which made her physically ache too. when she shifted, pulling away just a little, mama noticed.
