   Gray Fullbuster was born in Tokyo, Japan in the year 2000, lived with his mother and father, Mika and Silver Fullbuster until they were killed by Onibaba in the year 2016. Gray had been on a school trip at the time of the attack, and was sent to a foster home following the news of his parents’ death.

   During his time at the foster home ( he was only there for 3 months before enrolling ) Gray made some good friends, Natsu, Lucy, Erza, and Juvia, who had all shared similar experiences he had. The foster care workers in the home had provided him with resources so he could go to school and get an education to support himself, and upon doing further research, he came across an application for the Jaeger Academy.

   Gray was contracted fresh out of Jaeger Academy to participate in the Echo Saber launch, Japan’s first Jaeger alongside Lyon Vastia; however, a malfunction occurred in the final stage of her first Drift connection, and while Lyon was rendered unharmed, Gray suffered deep-rooted neural trauma, and was unable to make it through the Drift again. After extensive recovery, he returned to Jaeger Academy, determined to still serve the PPDC and help defend. Having consulted with several academic advisors, it was determined that Gray would make a sturdy addition to the LOCCENT force.

   Following his graduation, Gray was deployed to the Tokyo Shatterdome two years before it is shut down, and moved up the rankings quickly. His quick working mind, and ability to analyze situations on the fly armed him heavily and efficiently to lead the remaining Jaegers as more and more Shatterdomes were being shut down. Currently, he holds title of Head of LOCCENT underneath the Marshall.

   Despite the warnings of his friends at the foster home, Gray made up his mind that he was going to enroll in the Jaeger Academy in order to help with defense efforts around the world. His initial goal was to become a pilot, but following a major injury during the Echo Saber launch, Gray was unable to make it through the Drift again. He returned to the Jaeger Academy, gaining LOCCENT title after graduation. He has since been deployed to the Hong Kong Shatterdome, and reigns as head LOCCENT.

Character Name: Park Seung “Gogo Tomago” Age: 24  Gender: Female Position: Jaeger Mechanic & Kwoon Fightmaster/Trainer Background: Gogo was born in Seoul, Korea and from a young age, she showed promise. Not only was she adept at mechanics and engineering, but she could see things others couldn’t in machinery. Though her mother disapproved and her father worried, they saw no choice but to move to San Fransokyo and allow her to enroll in the PPDC to train. Gogo and her family were present during the horrific events of K-Day, and they moved on to Australia following them in order to continue her training. With their relocation settled and Gogo having acclimatised to the language, she began her training. For a brief amount of time they believed that she may even pilot a Jaeger due to the heavy level of martial arts practise she undertook, but Gogo found herself more interested in the engineering and creation side of the work. She began working on Jaegers as an apprentice just prior to graduating (at sixteen) and within a year had been assigned to the Sydney Shatterdome where she was given a role in the creation of a Jaeger. She showed promise but Gogo and her superior had problems agreeing - she was always trying new things in order to make the creations work that bit harder and faster and it went almost unappreciated. Australia was not the place for her and so she made a final move, leaving her parents and heading to Hong Kong where she had heard about the program. At eighteen, she became a second to a one Hiro Hamada. The bots she considered her children, always trying to make them faster and stronger and making sure that they had all the strength they needed. She, like Hiro, took great care in every step of the build but shared her time with the training room. With her knowledge of the inner workings of her creations, Gogo helps to groom and select the best pilots for the job.  Other relevant information.  - Formidable in multiple martial arts styles.  - Trained with bo-staff, sai and nun-chucks.  - In a polyamorous relationship with Honey Lemon & Tadashi Hamada  - Will cut you if you fuck up her Jaegers. - Cusses. Background (2-3 paragraphs minimum): Millicent was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, as the youngest child of the Hemmingford family, not many years before K-Day.  An average student, Millicent never really worried about the Drift and the creatures coming from the other world, always under the assurance of living a few thousand kilometers away from it. It only became her concern when, after finishing her studies in psychiatry and psychology, she was forced to move to Australia in an attempt to stay close with her family.

After finding no work in the local medical centers and agreeing with her parents that she was still too young to have her own office and to work by herself, Milly decided to apply for a job as a psychological assistant for Rangers and Rangers to-be. She would have never imagined that, not too long after getting the job, the Sydney Shatterdome would close and she would be automatically relocated in Hong Kong.

A warm and gentle person, the blonde tries to evade getting attached with her patients and coworkers, and she tends to set her emotions and desires aside in order to put her patients’ health as her main priority.

Background:

Grady was a quiet kid, never really wanted to pick a fight, very much stayed away from it all. Including the playground himself. He possessed a more creative mind, building things out of Lego with complex inner workings and movable parts. Most kids thought he was a bit strange. Having an extensive library of toy guns and military cosplay would get that opinion from most. Not that anyone cared after K-Day. With the San Fransokyo bridge in smoke and ruins and his father- a police officer- dead, Grady sought to join the newly formed Pan Pacific Defence Corps in any position he could get. As luck would have it, Grady’s knack for weapons had him assigned to the PPDC Strike Group, an elite unit tasked with securing and guarding PPDC facilities, downed Jaegers and Kaiju as well as assist in evacuation during an attack. Grady felt right at home and quickly rose to the position of Sargent, deemed a natural by the Brass. Although he longed to be a Jaeger pilot, the idea of having to share his mind with someone else was a little-off putting. Too many things going on in there that he’d never want anyone to see. Loosing a parent is hard when you’re only 12.

Some Pacific Rim summarized lore

So, since a lot of us have watched Pacific Rim way too long ago and may have forgotten some stuff, like me. 

What is the PPDC? What does the PPDC do? The PPDC (Pan Pacific Defense Corps) is an organization set up by the United Nations, governed and set up by twenty-one different Pacific countries, that deals with the defense, combat, and containment of the Kaiju threat along the Pacific. Headquarters for the PPDC are mostly found in dominant Pacific nations like Hong Kong, Peru, the United States' western coastline, Russia, Japan, Panama, and Australia. What prompted the inception of the PPDC? In terms of the movie, the PPDC was created after the attacks on San Francisco, Manila, Cabo San Lucas, and Sydney. With concerns rising from the heads of state of these countries and others, the United Nations then set up a conference in Seoul, South Korea, that created the PPDC on the premise of eliminating the rising Kaiju threat. In terms of this AU, majority of the cities listed retain their name with the exception of San Francisco now called San Fransokyo to tie in with the Big Hero 6 verse. What is the Shatterdome? The Shatterdome is the primary headquarters of the PPDC and as well as the factory for most production on Kaiju defense (Jaegers). The Shatterdome also serves as the primary place for future Ranger recruits as well as PPDC personnel to train themselves. Most of these Shatterdomes are found in coastlines as a precautionary measure and a line of defense before the Kaijus could move inward. Housing and maintenance of Jaegers are also found in the Shatterdome as well; there are one to three Jaegers found in each Shatterdome worldwide. Okay, sounds cool. But what are Jaegers? They are weapons created by the Jaeger Program as the first and last line of defense against Kaiju attacks. Nice! Can anyone become a Jaeger pilot? Unfortunately, no. A jaeger pilot must have a sound body and mind to withstand the neural bridge activation to make these jaegers move. During the early days of the PPDC, most jaegers can be only piloted by a single ranger but due to toll it does tot the body, the Ranger Academy and the PPDC have agreed to have at least two pilots to pilot a jaeger, at the most three. These pilots must have their brains in sync for the neural bridge to work. That sucks. If my character isn't/can't be a ranger/jaeger pilot what can they do? Let me tell you a thing my friend, there's so much you can do. Your character can be a LOCCENT personnel, they deal with Kaiju activity as well as direct jaeger pilots. Jumphawk pilots deal with jaeger transport to battle. Engineering and repairs is in charge of creating and repairing jaegers. Kaiju sciences. Medics, etc. Who is in charge of the Shatterdome? Usually a Marshal of high rank and prestige, veteran status is a must and as well as commendations. Currently, Aunt Cass is the Marshal of the Shatterdome.

Stupid question here: For OCs, should we use a model faceclaim or an animated one?

Hey I hope you don't mind me answering this publicly because this is gonna be quite useful for others!

With regards to Original Character, it is up to the mun whethe their character face claim is a real life person (models, singers, actors/actresses) and/or an animated one (whether from another animation or a game). Just as long there's no duplicates, unless two muns agreed for twins, are acceptable on face claims. I'll be setting up a separate page later on to keep it recorded and neat!

I will be updating the headcanon thing in terms of those in the bh6 canon later this evening. I just have a mountain of schoolwork to endure. Also, i'll be updating general stuff like faceclaims since it'll be harder for those who will opt for obscure fcs (either animated or models/actors/actresses); the creators are still wondering so ocs could have a "face". If anyone wants, I'll also create a general blurb about hong kong since it is divided into several isles and administrative districts.

Character name: Tadashi Hamada Age: 25 Gender: Male Position (pilot, jumper pilot, loccent, scientist, etc.): Jaeger Pilot Background (2-3 paragraphs minimum): Tadashi was born in San Fransokyo, living with his family until the first attack happened. Their parents were renowned Tadashi was seven when K-Day occurred, he was with his brothers at the time. Unfortunately, their parents made the casualties list at the end of the day. He survived with his two younger brothers and was relocated. 

Eventually, he and the twins are moved to the Hong Kong Shatterdome after the establishment of the PPDC. His passion for becoming a Jaeger Pilot is born after spending his first few months there. Tadashi quickly does what he can to learn more about piloting and what it’s like. Sometimes that included snooping around places he shouldn’t be around. However, he puts his effort in not giving his aunt too much of a headache. 

He tested exceptionally well as a pilot, although disheartened when Hiro was opted out. He’s incredibly close and protective of his brothers. Tadashi would do anything to make sure his brothers were safe. He values his time, so he spends as much time as he can with them when he can. He’s very entitled to his work and doesn’t take failures easily, especially at the expense of someone’s life.  Other relevant info: N/A

Name: Hisa Hamada Age: 18 Gender: Male Position (pilot, jumper pilot, loccent, scientist, etc.): Jaeger Pilot Background: When Hisa was only three years old, his parents—famous San Fransokyo Shatterdome Jaeger Pilots were killed on K-Day. The Shatterdome itself was destroyed, leaving only a few survivors. Hisa, his twin brother Hiro, and his older brother Tadashi, were among them.  They moved to the Hong Kong Shatterdome where their Aunt—Solo Pilot of the Lucky Cat—was Marshall. She’s looked after them ever since, though Hisa’s always been slightly rebellious. At age 5, his genius tendencies began to show and at age 10, he was enrolled in the PPDC.  Hisa graduated the PPDC at age 13 and has been a pilot alongside Tadashi ever since. He’s physically fit and quite adept at Bo fighting as well as smart. He and Tadashi have had 20 drops over the past 5 years and 15 kills.  Hisa’s goal is to one day beat his Aunt’s record of singlehandedly killing a level two, but has yet to do that. He’s extremely close with his brothers and often hangs around them even when they’re off duty.

it's the year 201X and the world is still plagued by the Kaijus. Now only one shatter dome left--Hong Kong--the last forces of the Jaeger project are banding together under Marshall Cass Hamada (solo pilot of the Lucky Cat) to defeat the Kaijus once and for all.

Ever since K-Day and the destruction of the San Fransokyo Shatterdome, the Hamada brothers have taken the lead in the field with 20 drops and 15 kills. Together, Hiro and Tadashi in their Jaeger-- the defense-heavy Baymax--have not only rid the world of this menace, but helped fuel the study of Kaijus by returning with parts from their missions.

They--and their team--have become unofficially known as the "Big Hero 6"
