Dying over Jon waking up and realizing he’s in love with Martin and thinking he’d already missed his shot.

Realizing the entire time Martin adored him and thinking he was way too late. That Martin would never love or care for him again. That he’d never get Martin’s tea, or hear Martin laugh, or bicker and argue with him, that he’d never see Martin smile ever again.

Feeling crushed because he had someone who loved him unconditionally and thinking he’s never get that love back. Completely unaware that the last of Martin’s feelings to go were for Jon. That the final nail on the coffin of Martin’s fight against Peter was being completely sure Jon was dead.

everybody was mean as FUCK to him when this man was already under pretty crazy levels of stress in general and even then he at least TRIED to feign politeness. it took me like 3 listens to understand why naomi got so mad at him for essentially saying "hey we're gonna try to look into it but your fiance fucking died and you got hit by a car maybe you should talk to an actual therapist about this?" like. if she wanted him to be like "oh yeah it was real for sure i totally believe you!" THATS HER FUCKING PROBLEMM. melanie managed to be even pissier about everything and don't get me wrong, i love melanie, but she was mean as hell. i think people forget that they're supposed to be a research institute and can't just go believing everything that a clearly messed up person comes saying to them. jon has every reason to doubt them, not even considering the whole "faking skepticism to not have a complete breakdown over The Horrors of His Life" thing.
