so you’re starting a book of shadows??

I didn’t really know what I was doing when I started my book of shadows/ grimoire tbh, I just started writing random things down that I didn’t really need

What is a Book of Shadows??📕

A book of shadows is a journal a witch logs all the things they learn, and all the things they want to learn. it’s similar to a grimoire, but a grimoire is just straight up information with no personal stuff in it, but a book of shadows is super personal to the witch.

Now, what you all need

Now, what do you put in a book of shadows??📗

The answer is, it all depends. What are you interested in and want to learn??✨

Ogham Alphabet; trees version

After doing some research I found that the ogham alphabet was not originally just depicting tree names, there were a few that did but not all, it wasn’t until much later that scholars tried to superimpose trees onto the meanings of the letters. Naming it the Celtic tree alphabet.

I am however still going to use these tree meanings for use in divination, as it’s easier to interpret meaning from the type of tree you get and its correspondences

03.11.17 // I finally finished the last pages of the elemental correspondences in my book of shadows, Fire! I included spiked plants that tend to grow in arid climates to represent the dryness and resilience of fire. I also decided to illustrate a fox, which I have always associated with fire for some particular reason o.O~
