So it's hard to walk away but they keep in touch and see each other on nights they aren't with their other s/o’s and just a lot of sexual tension and fantasy

i can do it with a broken heart: this could work best in a famous au like maybe your muse or their muse is on tour after a long breakup and your muse can be a friend or something else and helps her along the way? And then slowly fall in love again? A very friends to lovers or forbidden love which can tie into but daddy i love him!

fresh out of the slammer: the person whom your muse kept a warm place for in their heart is the one they are running back to, desperate for all the longings and fantasies to be fulfilled and so they start a relationship but its brought on a lot of hate either from their fanbase ( if famous au ) or their family ( if regular au ) but they aren't listening.
