Paige slowly smiles, “Thank you dad.” She half teased him but she really did look up to Damon for advice for some odd reason and because she couldn’t talk to Laim about anything because he was too strict. ‘I’m just going to shoo now, “ She said and took off her apron. Good thing the bakery wasn’t terribly busy today. “Tell Mother Kat it was a a love emergency my happily ever after is at stake.” She charms out the door with the push of Damon.

“Well it’s over now so you can stop.” He tossed the extinguisher to the floor. “Of course he wasn’t, He had even more brain damage.” Damon snickers. “Oh hell I can raise a glass to that. I don’t miss him either. Hell I accidentally killed a guy a while back and they ruled it self defense but his wife jumped in the pool with their son strapped to her chest and drown them both.” He told of the Scoots. “And I don’t even feel bad. So I kind of can get where you’re coming from. Have you found a replacement?” How did Paige and Damon go through all the hurt that had caused each other and end up friends the way they had? But they got over it and were better for it.

Paige shrugs, “I saw that in the paper... Would you have to be so in love with your spouse to strap your very own flesh and blood to your chest and jump in a pool to drown just cause you missed him?” Paige questioned as she thought for a moment,” ---- She was afraid. It wasn’t because she loved him was it?” Paige gulps, “She was afraid of you. That you would come after them....”

“I’ve had a few one night stands with my Ex.” She spoke of @rafe-walker-blog “I really like Hank but I was so mean to him I’m embarrassed.”

“Seriously Paige! That’s it no more caramelizing sugar to make fudge for you this is the third fire this week I thought you were better at Baking than this.” He said as he grabbed the fire extinguisher. “I have PTSD with fire now I watched my mother fry in it ya insensitive twat!” He proceeded to do the kind of stuff Damon on around the bakery so he put out the fire.

“Okay, okay! I’m sorry! It’s just that I’m going to say that I’m trying to help you overcome your PTSD.” She watched him put the fire out. “What the hell is wrong with me!?” She shook her head. “I guess the loss of Charles has been weighing on me.” She sat down on a step leading up to Damon’s Bar (Now where Kamon lived) “He never was the same even after waking up.” She looked at Damon. “I’m upset because I’m not hurting that I lost him.” Paige sighs, “Is any of this making sense?” Charles had feel asleep on New Years Eve and never woke up. He had died.

I Guess It’s Really Over

Hank could see what this was going to be about. “No.” He stepped outside on the porch. he wanted to do this in the pouring rain with her. “This is about Charlie ain’t it?” Hank could see her pulling further away from what they had. “I don’t even blame you. I wanted this for you.” He shook his head. “I wanted your hurt to stop and it has. So why can’t I just be happy?” He knew she was about to break his cracked heart.

“Oh.” She said and looked at the ground, Paige couldn’t do eye contact with him at the moment she was weak. “Yes, Sir it is, Charlie found his way back to me.” She pulled her hair to the side out of nervousness. “I’m sorry, Hank.” Hank deserved at least a decent conversation but Paige shook her head and ran off the porch like a coward.

“Hank,” Paige said as Hank opened the door. The rain was pouring behind her and she had just reached the shelter of the porch in time. “We need to talk... May I come in?” She bit her lip nervously.

Charlie heard what Paige had said and he sat up in the bed, picking up his shirt from the floor and putting it over himself. “Do you still love him?”

Paige was silent for a moment watching Charlie put his shirt on. “Um, no.” she lied, Paige did still love Hank but she loved Charlie too and couldn’t lose him so she lied.

Charlie blushed as he heard what Paige had said to him, He softly kissed her forehead. “I love you too, so much” Charlie added as he wrapped his arms gently around Paige’s waist. He was so happy so when Paige mentioned Hank’s name, Charlie’s face dropped quite a lot. “Maybe just let him down gently, I think he will understand” Charlie replied.

“We told each other that we love one another.” Paige gulps unsure how Charlie would feel about her telling Hank that she loved him. “Are you upset with me?”

“In that case take me I’m yours!” She smiled and tackled him gently back on the bed pulling the covers over top of them both.

A little later Paige rested upon Charlie. “I love you, Charlie. There was never a time that I stopped loving you not even when I was angry.” She admited truthfullly. “Now I have to tell Hank it’s over between him and me. It’s going to hurt because he’s a great guy and he treated me with respect.” Paige sighs. “How should I tell him it’s over Without looking like a bitch?”

Charlie was surprised by Paige’s kiss, and a little taken aback too. He enjoyed it nonetheless, and kissed Paige back, passionately.

Charlie sat in the passenger seat of Paige’s car, as she finished packing everything up. He blushed a deep shade of red as Paige kissed him, he hadn’t expected it or expected her to be so kind after how he had recently treated her in the hospital, about a week ago.

Charlie followed Paige to the spare bedroom, he looked around noticing how big the room was. He had forgotten for a second that he was in a mansion. “Thanks, I really appreciated all of this” Charlie added, truthfully as he looked at Paige. He was glad that Liam was gone for a couple of days, meaning that Charlie wouldn’t have any hassle. He sat down on the bed, as he listened to Paige speak. “I don’t mind, unless there’s anything you think I need?”

“No problem, Charlie.” She ran her fingers through his hair. “Well, I think you could use a kiss,” She leaned in kissing him and sparks flew again with the touch of his lips he was intoxicating in the best way.

Charlie stood beside Paige, as she filled up the car. He had been told by the doctors to take things easy the next couple of weeks. “Are you sure?” Charlie asked Paige, not wanting to intrude or annoy Liam by moving in. However, it would be good to spend more time with Paige. “Of course, I’d love to”

“I’m positive.” She said loading the last bag into the car. “Good because I’d love for you too.” She smiled. “Let’s go home.” She gave him a quick kiss, before driving back to the mansion and getting Charlie situated.

There was an extra room across the hallway from Paige that no one ever used and Paige thought Charlie could have it as long as he wanted. “This is your room, Charlie.” She placed his bag on the bed. “Um, Liam is out of town for a little while so he doesn’t know you’re here.” She was glad her brother wouldn’t be around for a little while so Paige and Charlie could have some alone time. “Can I get you anything to make you feel more comfortable?”

Charlie nodded his head gently, in reply to what Paige had said to him. He wanted to fix things between the two of them.

Paige kissed him once more. “Let’s get you out of here.” She smiled. Paige loaded up the car with Charlie’s belongings and sat behind the wheel of the car. “I want you to move into the mansion with me until I’m sure you’re okay...I know Liam won’t like it but he’s going to have to deal with it. Will you move in in with me Charlie?”
