Another way to eat the brownie bites! So good! Check it out :)
Definitely good for boosting your mood if you need a healthy pick-me-up. At least for me, this has been a necessity, let’s be real.

Vegan pancakes!!! Best vegan pancakes I’ve ever made, and it took me a few times to find the right ingredients. Turns out they’re made best when you add a mashed banana. (I’ll try to be more precise this time! I didn’t measure everything though, so I’ll estimate!)
I have my days where I wish I could just live in the wild. Those days are everyday. 😂But in all seriousness I can’t wait until I’m 18+ to be able to travel by myself or with a couple friends or even my future partner. Until then I have the memories of the beautiful Jamaican mountains to keep with me!
Sidenote: If you prefer this kind of thing to my usual food posts (which are going to become more scarce, I didn’t start this blog to make it a food blog!) then check out “savethepaige” on instagram!! My other account is “paigeofparchment” for the foodie stuff.
Ok, I’ll be honest with you. I wasn’t planning on posting this picture on my tumblr, but then I realized: This is actually a REALLY good recipe and I use it SO OFTEN. And so here you go; an extremely delicious way to cook your tofu or seitan!
Easy like a Sunday morning :)
Sometimes it’s nice to just take some time to relax and listen to some music. If you have a similar cover to this then just lay it on the floor, add some pillows, then play some reggae jams! If you’re feeling it you can even make a cup of tea for more relaxation. This also makes a great place to meditate.
Quick recipe today for these little “brownie bites” and OH MAN they really taste like little brownies!! So good!
Really easy, you just need:
- 1 or 2 Tbsp of peanut butter - 1 Tbsp of cacao powder (I use a different one for sauces and these “brownie bites” than I do for nicecream, this one is a darker cacao powder vs raw cacao powder for nicecream. It’s your choice but I find I need less cacao powder for a chocolatey taste and it’s also less bitter with this darker one) - Non-dairy milk of choice (I used soy because it was the only one we had but I would’ve used almond if I had it) - Sweetener of choice (I was out of maple syrup so I used sugar according to my taste. I would recommend coconut sugar if you do use sugar but I don’t have any :( need to buy some! But you can also use agave or other)
Basically you just need to melt the peanut butter then mix everything together!
(Also, sorry I’ve been gone for a few days, I’ve been going through some stuff, I mean I’m human too. I have my bad days but I am back today!)
Perfect to eat when you’re craving something chocolatey or just use it to top off your nicecream with some agave!
Before I start this post, I’d just like to take a second to welcome all my new followers! I appreciate you all taking the time to check out my blog and click that follow button! The only thing is, I feel some of you may have followed me thinking I am a food blogger. I am not, I am a lifestyle blogger. That said, here we go:
The importance of raw food
Who am I? Who is this “Paige” girl? What is my message? Why did I create this blog? Am I another one of those vegan food blogs?
I’ve been asking myself this a lot recently. My name is Hannah Paige, but I have always wished my parents had just named me Paige. They didn’t since my last name is Parchment; they thought kids in school would tease me by calling me “Paige of Parchment”. Well, we don’t really use parchment anymore, do we? :P Which brings me to the second focus of this post. In light of recent events, you might be looking at this photo thinking “Wow, this was obviously posed” (or you might not, who knows). Especially after Essena O’neill came out with how “fake” social media is. Well, I think the contrary. Social media can be fake, but hear me out. This is why it’s not all as bad as she claims, and not as bad as you think (and I promise this has to do with introducing myself, please read, it’ll be worth it!) :
And here it is! The recipe for vegan mac and cheese! I’ll try to be a little more accurate this time, but to be honest I always eyeball everything in the kitchen. So here you go:
Alright, here is the recipe for homemade, vegan reese’s!! (warning, they’ll taste different according to the cacao powder you use so I’d recommend a dark, unsweetened one. Works better than the lighter from my experience). Made completely from experimentation and I encourage you to do the same in the kitchen!
Preview for a recipe coming tomorrow! I want to post a picture where you can actually properly see the reese’s so I’ll post all the information about it then. But they’re completely 100% vegan and also completely 100% DELICIOUS. And you know what? They even taste like the real thing!! Can’t wait to share the info!
If you’re wondering about the size of this breakfast btw it was 3 bananas (my stomach can’t handle more yet, used to be able to have 5 but it’s a long story) and I have to have higher calorie breakfasts because they fuel me so much more efficiently for the rest of the day! It feels so much better to actually have energy and be able to go for a run or a bike ride and not feel completely drained to the point of exhaustion afterwards!
Food. Is. Fuel.
I knew from the moment I started this whole blogger/instagrammer thing that I didn’t just want to post about food, so this is the start of a new kind of segment, I guess.
Can’t sleep so I’m going to post this nicecream pic instead! :) Not much to say about it, it’s just a berry nicecream topped with goji berries, cacao nibs and peanut butter. The only thing though: the cacao nibs are SO GROSS! I’m never going to order them again, it’s like chewing on solid, unsweetened, bitter cacao powder. I get the shivers just thinking about it! But I still enjoyed this, definitely will be making this again but without the nibs!
If you don’t know how to make nicecream, I’ll put some instructions below!
Ever heard of avocado toast? Well, if you’re a part of the health and fitness community on instagram, youtube, tumblr, or other social media then I’m sure you have! Avocado toast is exactly what it sounds like: mash up some avocado and put it on some toast, top it with some chili powder if you want (that’s what I did here) and you’re ready to go!
If you’re a cereal lover, you’ll love this breakfast!
It’s really just chocolate muesli and soy milk, topped with a banana and some chia seeds. I didn’t actually make any of these ingredients, but this is great for a quick breakfast in the morning!
Actually this is my first smoothie in a LONG time. My blender broke over the summer so I haven’t had a smoothie since then. However, I just used my food processor to make this.
So I was really craving some curry for lunch after realizing we had no ripe bananas for a smoothie and I decided to wing a curry recipe! I didn’t measure anything but that’s because I believe in cooking according to your taste. My preferences are different from yours so don’t be afraid to wing it! Have fun in the kitchen! That’s what cooking is about! (Baking is different, I wouldn’t recommend someone who has little experience in the kitchen to experiment with baking).
