This is a story blog of my own characters and universe. So there’s a few rules that are needed to be put in place for the story to work out the way it needs to. Though the anons and askers might have an impact on how I approach the overall story. I’ll be updating the characters when they are introduced!

No anon magic, you are people, not magical being

Respect the character’s pronouns, some have pronouns that aren’t just regular he/him and she/her so please respect that

Don’t be racist, homophobic, transphobic or things like that. You can be mean to the characters, but bringing up that kind of thing makes me uncomfortable

Don’t force ships on any character, I haven’t decided if I want there to be relationships or not so don’t ask about it

Keep topics sfw

You can be mean to the characters but don’t say mean things to me as the mod

You as an anon/asker will have a physical form, please do not cause harm to each other or the characters involved (unless it’s a special case)

No self insert anons/askers, and keep any descriptions of them human. There might be supernatural elements in the story but I want to keep everyone anon wise the same look wise since I already have overall designs for them

I’ll try to tag things appropriately. But if I miss something, please tell me

I’ll be trying to separate sections into “chapters”, all the tags involved will be below

Quinton

- They/Them

- Goes by Quin for short

- Speaks in “Pink”

Polaris

- Ey/Em

- No nickname

- Can’t see facial expressions or faces in general but can see the things on the faces, such as scars or some makeup.

- Speaks in “Blue”

Jameson

- He/Him

- Rarely goes by Jam for short

- Speaks in “Red”

Anons

- There’s three kinds of anons

- Mean anons are for any anons/askers that being mean (if it’s a named asker/anon they won’t be able to change to the others)

- Nice anons are for unnamed anons/askers that are nice to the characters

- “Other” anons are for any named anons/askers

- Each group works kinda like a hivemind or just mulitple people that look the same, the characters will be able to recognize the difference between the three and the people in them (if they are named)

- Anons use all pronouns but I’ll be using they/them for y’all unless specified by a specific person, and then I’ll use those pronouns for them

- Though I won’t use them unless there’s physical interactions so if you don’t want to be seen as them, you don’t have to as long as you aren’t like physically right interacting. So don’t worry about that.

As you explore the abandoned construction site, you notice someone. It’s practically impossible not to due to how out of place he looks. Golden cross in hand, and clothes that almost make him look like a priest, he doesn’t look like someone who you’d imagine hanging around a place like this. He’s moving about slowly as he seems to be searching for something. The idea of him snooping around would be almost ridiculous if you weren’t doing the exact same thing.

Though it seems even with how he’s looking about, he hasn’t noticed you yet.

As you’re all walking home, you pass by a construction site, it wasn’t unusual, you passed by it on the way to shop. What was unusual, was the chain that used to keep the gate inside closed, with a little sign that said “do not enter”, was cut by what was probably bolt cutters. Said bolt cutters can be seen half hazardly on the ground on the other side of the gate. While you’re looking at what happened. Something seems to move by your vision, a blink later and it’s gone.

There’s only one way to find out what’s going on.

Chapter 2, The Exorcist Next Door

“It’s nice seeing you talking to people outside of me and the clients, Polaris.”

“Really?”

“Yeah! You never talk to anyone, it’s nice watching you be able to socialize. You should do it more.”

“.. I’ll consider it.”

“I know it’s a lot talking people but you should still do it once and awhi-”

[Quin gets cut off by a loud BANG from somewhere in the shop you haven’t been. It sounds like it could have been a door being slammed or something heavy falling to the ground. Quin practically jumps in surprise, clearly caught off guard from the sudden noise. Polaris flinches from the sound, having a very different reaction to Quin’s.]

“What was that!?”

“…”

“I’ll go see what that was, stay here-”

“-No. It’s alright. You don’t have to do that, I’ll deal with it after I’m done.”

“What? Why not? It isn’t normal for loud sounds to just happen, Polaris!”

“Calm down, an animal probably just got in and knocked something over. It’s happened before.”

“Are you sure? I don’t mind checking on it for you, if it really is an animal I can get it to leave.”

“I promise it’ll be fine, Quinton. How about you go show the our guests out and head home. It’s almost the end of your shift anyway.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. I’m on the last stitch anyway. Once I’m done I’ll pack up here and check out what happened. Whatever it is won’t be scurrying around too long in that time. When you come in tomorrow I’ll show you what the cause of the noise was, alright?”

[Quin sighs, knowing that they won’t get anywhere with Polaris.]

“Fine, but call me if anything happens when you check alright? I can stay by the shop a little after so can come right away if you want.”

“If that’ll make you feel better about all this, sure go ahead. I don’t think I’ll have to call you though.”

“I want to at least have the option available just in case. I’ll show the guests out now.”

[Polaris watches as Quin leads you guys out back to the reception desk, the moment you’re out of view ey turn back to eir work.]

[Quin pushes you guys out the door, clearly still a little frazzled by the entire situation, but seems to be trying to not freak out too much over it.]

“Sorry you guys, what the boss says, goes. Come by again when you find the time. I assure you, it isn’t always this chaotic here.”

“I’ll even update you on what happened just now when Polaris finally tells me. Don’t wait on me to leave before you go, locking up takes awhile. Hope to see you again!”

[They close the door behind you, and you’re left to wander back to whatever place you call home.]

Chapter 1, Day Like Any Other, End

Ha! Not much confidence in Quin’s tailoring abilities, eh? Fair enough.

“I wouldn’t trust anyone with my work, no offense.”

“None taken, I’ve never even tried to that kind of work in my life, I know it’d be end up bad.”

“I also just prefer to handle it myself. Funny enough the process of sewing and all that is calming, and I think letting someone else do it instead would be stressful for me. As I’d be all worried about them messing up rather than doing other things with my time. Easier for everyone to just do it myself.”

Isn’t it stressful?

“I mean, yeah, but it can’t be helped. I’m really the only person willing to work here, and Polaris is quite adamant in making the clothes emself.”

“People come here for my work, not some random person’s. I’m not letting someone ruin my work by trying to do it themselves in my place. The stuff I make Quinton do is about all the help I’m willing to take.”

Not a lot of employees here, huh?

“Just the two of us.”

“We’ve never really needed anyone else, not like we could even if we wanted to. Polaris only takes enough work that ey can reasonably handle at once, and I just help out where I can. If it wouldn’t slow everything down I probably wouldn’t even be here if I’m honest.”

“Don’t say that, I’d like to not go insane due to being here all alone for hours on end, thank you.”

So you lot make clothes?

“I do. Quin doesn’t, but they help me with everything else. Such as holding up the reception desk, and buying things when needed.”

[pailor-tailor]

Will you guys go home after Polaris is done with the dress? Or do you still have work to do afterwards?

"I live here, so I don't exactly 'go home' but the work day will stop shortly after I'm done, yes. All that's left to do is clean up afterwards and close up shop for the day.”

"Yeah it's quite late already, my shift ends soon actually, I'll probably start closing up once you guys leave, or at least shortly afterwards. I don't live here so Polaris will be alone once I'm gone."

“Which is fine. I like being alone after long days like this.”

Quinton, your hair reminds me of M&Ms but does it TASTE like M&Ms -🌌

“It’s hair.??”

Wha type of candy do you two like?

“I don’t really have a preference as long as it’s not sour or bitter.”

“I prefer most kinds of chocolate, but I suppose if I had to pick, milk chocolate would be my favorite.”

Oooh okay, do you two plan on dressing up as anyone/anything?? Or would if you aren't going to?? -🌌

“If I’m up to it, I’ll probably dress up in some sort of store bought costume. Just to save Polaris the trouble. With a little accessory work I can make it look a little more original. If there’s nothing a good ol ghost outfit works.”

“I never dress up, alway practically pass out for the entire day. Vampire or living doll would probably be on the list though.”

on the subject of halloween, corpse bride or nightmare before christmas

I’ve only ever seen nightmare before Christmas so it’d probably be that.

So, Halloween's coming up! You guys have any plans for it? :] -🌌

“It’s close to Halloween? I’ll need you in to go out shopping again tomorrow, then.”

“We get swamped around Halloween. People asking for custom costumes and alternate and that sorta thing. Halloween for me and Polaris is just winding down from all the chaos, we get the day off. I sometimes stop by to hand out candy though, kind of depends how hard the rush hits us.”
