This is an indie, private, highly selective, low activity roleplay blog for Klaus Mikaelson, heavily influenced by his portrayal in the early seasons of TVD, although I do acknowledge the Originals canon with some changes.

A study in grief, trauma, love, loss, anger, family, control, loneliness, depression, violence, post traumatic stress, and more.

This blog will include triggering themes and I’ll try to tag them all. However, expect canon typical violence if you continue to peruse through this blog.

Hello! So I've been MIA for a really long time, almost half the year, and I just want everyone to know that I haven't been ghosting anyone. The last few months have been really tough, the feeling of being overwhelmed and overworked is not something I can escape from, the toxicity is just next level and my depression has been hitting me hard.

I am going to try and make a more conscious effort to be one here however, because writing is the one thing that has always helped me with my depression. So, if anyone is still interested in writing with me, whether that's continuing our old threads or starting new ones, please let me know.

However, I'll be starting slow and will cap the number of threads I have so I don't feel overwhelmed.

Thanks a lot to everyone who has been checking up on me, it means a lot!

“That’s a lot of blood. I must say, you’re quite mess,” Klaus spoke lowly from the doorway as he observed the gore and destruction inside the house. Bodies drained off blood, some of it coating the floors, and in the middle of it all was a vampire, his blood stained countenance illuminated by the light of the moon.

Klaus gave a curious glance to the Lapis Lazuli on his finger, his eyes narrowing slightly in suspicion. “Did the one who turned you simply just leave you to deal with your bloodlust?” He questioned lightly as he walked into the room, “it isn’t good etiquette, you know, among us vampires.”

he didn't flinch at first, not giving a damn who was interrupting him or what they could possibly want. stefan had never felt more himself or more completely out of control before. that, coupled with the grief he felt over the loss of katherine and the abandonment of his brother was almost too much to bare. the only time he truly felt alright was when he fed, and he needed to feel alright.

it wasn't until the other man brought up the one who turned him that stefan dropped the lifeless body in his arms and looked at him. " she's dead. she was supposed to be here, to be with me forever, but she died because of me. " he said defensively. stefan was prepared to confront him about his interruption, to argue that he wanted to be left alone, before he glanced around the room himself. " they... they're all dead? " he knew the answer. he knew exactly what he'd done. " you must think i am a monster. "

Klaus raised his brows as he observed the empty look in the others eyes, something very curious about it. He’d assumed the man had abandoned his humanity, and yet he could see that it was still there. Etched in grief. The scene around them was curious too, and he crouched down next to the body of a girl, taking in the way her neck was almost torn off.

“She died, did she?” He asked even as she attempted to find some shred of sympathy, but he couldn’t. Yet, when he heard the other talk about his own killings, he tilted his head. It almost sounded like the other had lost all control, had gone too far in haze of bloodlust to understand anything he’d done.

“Yes, you did kill them all,” he got up from his place and walked towards the other vampire, one hand clasping his shoulder, “we’re all monsters love, in our own ways.” He leaned closer, the smell of blood almost intoxicating, “there’s no need to feel such guilt. We’re vampire, killing is what we do. Although not all of us are quite so…..” her looked around at bodies that were half torn, like toys the other had played with, something about that passion getting to him, “passionate about it.”

“I can assure you little wolf, no one in your pack can tear me into shreds, it would be the other way around, rather,” Klaus said as he walked towards Hayley, his hands clasped behind his back, “I’m here to see Hope. Apologies if you weren’t expecting a visit from your husband.”

" our pack. i'm surprised you remembered where to go considering we did an insane ritual, bonded ourselves for life to give them power, and then you essentially bailed on them. " she was there to make sure that they were fine, taking over any supplies that she thought they'd appreciate since many still refused to abandon their homes-- something she imagined he had no interest in doing. the only ones he seemed to care about were in the city defending his home and hope. hayley sighed, glancing at hope who was fast asleep in a stroller just a few feet away. " she has been fussy today. it took forever to put her down, " the hybrid commented, ignoring his husband remark.

Klaus raised a brow at her words, one of his hands outstretched before him as he shrugged, “you do a good job at keeping them in line.” It was true, the wolves resented him, as most did, being wary of his hybrid nature, thinking him to be an abomination. Really, he was the victim of their discrimination. “They consider you as their alpha anyway,” he said gesturing vaguely, his voice light, though he felt the familiar tendrils of jealousy rise within him.

His eyes shifted to the child behind Hayley, a strange contentment filling him as he watched the sleeping baby. “I suppose that means I can’t hold her tonight, doesn’t it?” There was a longing in his voice before he cleared his throat, letting his hand fall back to his side. “Well, shall we go back to the house then?” He refused to let his only child to sleep in the woods.

He braced his palms on her shoulders, his eyes on her terrified ones, “it’s alright love.” His voice was soothing in a way it never was with anyone else, “a vampire tried to attack you but you fought back. I’m assuming he must’ve compelled you to forget this all before he attacked you. He’s been taken care of now,” he said shortly, knowing she wouldn’t approve of his violent ways.

Cami heard his voice, felt the touch of his hands on her shoulders (soothing despite her panic). She tried to wrap her head around what he was telling her. She remembered stepping into the Grill and then now. Being covered in blood, ready to crawl out of her skin. She looked at her surroundings, seeing no one but the two of them. "He's gone?" she asked, and before she got an answer she stepped forward to rest against him, her arms snaking around him for comfort. "Did you kill him?" She almost didn't want to know the answer.

Klaus sighed as he observed her, the way she was trying to take everything in. Trying to wrap her mind around it. She was shaken, he could tell, and he pressed his lips together as she wrapped her arms around him suddenly. “Yes, he’s gone,” Klaus ran his hand soothingly over her hair, his other hand around her waist as he heard her question.

He hated that his answer would disappoint and shock her, that it would remind her of the monster he was, that it would pain her. And yet, he couldn’t bring himself to be dishonest with her now, “yes, I killed him, he hurt you, and I had to ensure that he hadn’t compelled you to do anything else. Now,” he pulled slightly, just enough that he could look at her, his palm curving around her cheek, “shall we get you home? Perhaps get you something to eat.”

Klaus raised his brow at Stefan’s words, looking at the other vampire with a slight smirk, “you’ll find that any plans that don’t involve me will be rather dull and boring. And we both know you don’t do boredom well.” Neither did he, Klaus thought. He walked over to where Stefan was still on the bed, his hands clasped behind his back as he contemplated the question. “Well, I do paint sometimes, or have dinner with a date. Have a date for dinner. Honestly, it depends on my mood. Why love, are you so interested in me?”

"This..." She looked down at her hands, still sticky with blood. Her eyes than met Klaus' once more. "This isn't my blood..." She felt fear bubble up in her throat. "Oh God, what happened?"

“Well, you’ll be pleased to hear that it isn’t anything bad this time,” Klaus said as he considered Camille, his eyes taking in her exhausted face and her pained expression, “shall I give you my blood, love? It’ll heal your pesky hangover,” he asked, his voice turning softer as he moved closer to her, resisting the urge to touch and comfort her. There was a line he’d drawn with Camille, and for once, he’d try not to cross it. He didn’t want to be selfish with her.

“ What the hell happened? ”

Klaus looked up at Stiles slowly, away form the wreckage he’d turned his drawing room into. Bodies strewn about, rivers of blood flowing on the floor, furniture shattered.

He felt sated, licking the blood off his fingers when Stiles came in and asked his question.

“They attempted to kill me,” he said lightly as he moved towards the other, uncaring of the way his shoes squelched in the blood. “Naturally, I had to retaliate. Rest assured,” Klaus said as he reached Stiles, bloodstained fingers grasping the others chin as the bodies of Stiles’ friend, and the rest of his pack was revealed. “They won’t attempt to do it again. I hope you weren’t too fond of Lydia or Scott, I’m afraid you won’t be seeing them again.
