Plot: When Thalia’s tree is mysteriously poisoned, the magical borders of Camp Half-Blood begin to fail. Now Percy and his friends have just days to find the only magic item powerful to save the camp before it is overrun by monsters. The catch: they must sail into the Sea of Monsters to find it. Along the way, Percy must stage a daring rescue operation to save his old friend Grover, and he learns a terrible secret about his own family, which makes him question whether being the son of Poseidon is an honor or a curse.

Throughout the book, apart from physical whump, Percy continually struggles with visions/dreams that scare him which I didn't always mention. In "The Sea of Monsters" Percy is 13 years old!

Ch. 2 - Deadly Dodgeball game
Ch. 4 - sprained ankle and unable to move out of harm's way, "I rolled aside as the air turned to pure heat. All the oxygen was sucked out of my lungs. My foot caught on something—a tree root, maybe—and pain shot up my ankle. Still, I managed to slash with my sword and lop off part of the monster’s snout. It galloped away, wild and disoriented. But before I could feel too good about that, I tried to stand, and my left leg buckled underneath me. My ankle was sprained, maybe broken. (...)"
Ch. 11 - Grabbed and dropped by Scylla, free falls from very high towards exploded ship, gets hit over the head by something and slams into the ocean below hard, loses consciousness
Ch. 12 - awakes, tries to sit up but get's woozy, “Rest,” she (Annabeth) said. “You’re going to need it.”, mourns, feels nervous about prophecy, Annabeth notices he's pale as he remembers loss but he brushes it off, under C.C's spell, drinks C.C's spell that burns his insides, and transforms (cute hug later), uses his water powers to control ship
Ch. 13 - Percy saves Annabeth from sirens and creates bubble
Ch. 16 - fights against Polyphemus, Swatted with a tree ("I was bleeding and bruised and exhausted."), falls asleep when safe
Ch. 17 - fight with luke, ("Suddenly my thigh was on fire, with a pain so intense I collapsed. My jeans were ripped above the knee. I was hurt. I didn’t know how badly. Luke hacked downward and I rolled behind a deck chair. I tried to stand, but my leg wouldn’t take the weight. (...) I clawed toward the swimming pool, trying hard not to black out. I’d never make it. Luke knew it, too. He advanced slowly, smiling. The edge of his sword was tinged with red. (...) I tried to get up, but my wounded leg still felt like it was on fire.") Wounds treated.
