Rebecca sat in a corner of the hallway, making herself as small as possible. She took a book out of her bag and began reading it and scribbling in the margins. The quiet was good for her. She was able to think clearly. Suddenly, the bell rang and other people began streaming into the hall.
Adam walked out of class, with no intention of going to the next one. Taking a quick turn around the corner, he didn’t notice the girl and tripped over her leg. Scraping his knee against the ground, he didn’t even notice the blood as he stood up.
