Mack accepted the lighter. With a click she ignited the flame to light her smoke, bringing it to her mouth. “How long have you been out here?”

The girl shrugged, “A few hours, I don’t really ever go to classes anymore.”

“And you’re already annoying” she said with a sarcastic smile.

 “I forgot to put on one of my socks this morning. A sock.   I don’t know.”

Scout rolled her eyes, “God, this school is filled with idiots.”

Claudia looked at the girl. “Well then don’t be what others want you to be, but don’t treat yourself like this.” She replied. Seeing the girl’s scar and hearing her proclamation about her father Claudia wrapped the girl into her arms. “O-oh my God Scout.” She said as she began to tear up. “Oh God I am so sorry.” she said emotion filling her voice. “That bastard didn’t get away with it did he?” She asked looking at the girl, a fierce expression on her face. “My dad is a lawyer and he has never lost a case, we can take his ass to court.”

Scout frowned and hugged her arm around her. She hated this, hating the feelings that were running inside of her. The girl squeezed her eyes shut as she cried into her chest. She hadn’t told anyone about this, and now she had just expressed what had happened to Claudia and apart of her felt relieved. The girl shrugged, “I d-don’t know where he is” she cried softly.

Mack smiled mischievously before taking a seat next to her. “May I?” She gestured towards the lighter.

Scout nodded and handed over her lighter, “Go for it.”

“I don’t know,” She took a few steps forward before pushing forward an envelope. “Just this, I’m not sure what it is,”

Scout furrowed her brows and took it, “Thanks” she said quietly, still confused.
