Ooooh a blast from the past!

A lot of fanworks make Breakdown out to be a gentle giant, which he is not. He's a rowdy boy, he likes it rough, and he enjoys putting KO through his paces. Knock Out is very much fine with this, deriving a great thrill from feeling overpowered while still trusting Breakdown utterly. (Trust is crucial to their chemistry. So is the tacit understanding that Knock Out is driving, even when he's getting ploughed.)

Re: cruising and rough trade, these are more things that the two of them did before they met, though on occasion they'll now go out as a couple, looking for an anonymous third.

Fun fact:

Knock Out and Breakdown were the only ones sharing their title screens together in the Japanese intros of TF Prime

While the other Decepticon main casts all had their own stand-alone title card

It stayed that way until Breakdown died, and Knock Out was on his own from that point on ;(
