hell yeah. & sometimes on her day off she’ll volunteer to help out for a little while. in any case, it only takes a few months for diana to be firmly embedded in the community.

honestly she should. ppl get caught up in the "highborn” aspects of her character but like she left for a reason she’d want to hang out with normal people and do normal things. 

diana is eating street tacos and street hot dogs not five star restaurant stuff unless she’s like with batman or something.

it’s not wrong but i think it’s v. boring for diana to leave themyscira to immediately sequester herself in stuffy, high class circles like in the DCEU where she’s attending galas and shit. obviously it’s different but the formal atmosphere is just like home so it’s like. why leave. i guess you could make the argument it reminds her of home but curiosity is part of the reason she left.

diana should be out there Living. especially since in the dceu she has a secret identity so it’s not like she needs to worry abt some public image. 

anyway what i’m saying is diana should be in birds of prey going to 3am raves in secret locations with harley and dumb shit like that.

adding wonder woman here & writing a bio sometime in the next three years but here are the sparknotes 

she still works at taco whiz and was instrumental in getting them unionized (tho she wasn’t in charge of it)

she’s not the god of war or the daughter of zeus or whatever the fuck dc is currently doing. she’s hippolyta’s daughter and that’s it.

she’s not a diplomat either. nubia does it & is better at it

she has no interest in taking over her mother’s position. she probably won’t if hippolyta ever steps down bc like. phillipus is Right There.

diana isn’t on speaking terms with any government agency or official not named etta or steve. anyone else she probably dislikes & doesn’t work with them.

in general, my diana is a bit more hotheaded & actually in league with her JL:War counterpart tbh. she’s not rly that young but she’s still got a lot of revolutionary in her. 

she doesn’t want to participate in bureacratic systems she doesn’t believe really help in favor of using her energy for like. other things nor does she want to participate too much in amazon life lest she become unable to support her sisters all over the world bc she has too much responsibility to those on themyscira.

At least they both knew they were assholes. But underneath all that was still a heart of gold. Just buried. Very buried.

While Barnes at one point had a respect for the flag, Banner sure couldn’t say the same. As to the amusement of her wife shooting through the stars and various disrespects she’s done over the past few decades. And yet, she still did research for them, and they footed the bill for her multiple PhD’s. The government can call that cost a loss.

“Oh, enlighten me,” Banner rolled her eyes, not very fazed. Her wife made scarier lines while polishing her sword in the living room. “ I’ll say ‘protectiveness’ is a word for it.”

Barnes laughed to help take the edge off. It’s true he was sometimes thickheaded but even he noticed how quickly Doc moved on and decided to follow suit. 

“Well, nobody’ll ever accuse either you or me of being the nicest Avenger, at least,” he said. “Best part of that is nobody ever stops you at the deli to ask for an autograph.”

Steve walks with a pen nowadays. It’s got it’s charm and part of him does envy his oldest friend but when Barnes is out and about, he’s doing something. He’d like to be left to do it.

“Anyway, Doc, I’m saying you get it from your mom’s side, our side.” While Barnes didn’t know his niece, Banner’s mother, very well outside of some files he’d read about her, what he did know firmly painted her as a Barnes’ product through and through. “It’s our best quality.”

"The, uh, propensity towards putting threats down for good, that’s just you and me,” he chuckled a bit, “But damn if your aunt didn’t look like she was about ready to join the club a few times.”

It wasn’t something she did intentionally, not all the time. Her abilities just had that effect, at times informing her of more than she’d actually want to know. There was a teasing smile lingering on her lips, cocking an eyebrow at her.  ❝ How about ‘I’m a hot Amazonian goddess down for some fun?’ ❞  

Yeah, it was probably clear that she wasn’t on that site either. They had that part in common. ❝ If you want, we can always check out the Canary Club. There were often pretty cute people there. However, some guys can be rather.. sleazy. ❞  At least to the dancers. She should know; she had been one of them, after all. 

❝ I just think it could be a good way to get out and have some fun. We have been kind of cooped up in here, and I feel the need to dance. ❞ 

Donna snorted. “No way. I’d sound like one of those fake popup ads.

“Hm, well then I guess it’s good that I’m not really looking for guys anymore, huh?” Kind of a cheeky way to come out but hey, two can tease, even if one is being honest.

Speaking of honesty, honestly, clubs weren’t really her scene. Call her a square if you want but the whole everything was a bit overwhelming at times. She could handle it in small doses but to go canvassing for a potential partner? It was a bit much to ask. 

Still, she wouldn’t mind hanging out with Lilith for a night. No dancing, though. Donna had the moves of an alien pretending to be somebody’s dad.

“I think this is starting to sound more for you than me,” she joked, “But sure, let’s go.”
