Y'all I'm tryna find a JJ Maybank fic I read ages ago on Wattpad ages ago and I loved it so so much. I think about it all the time and it's been 2 years since I read it. I wanna re read it but I can't seem to find it. I think it might've been called waves but that might be a different one I read. The character's name was Avery and the plot is that one year before the events of Outer Banks, a girl Avery was staying with her parents in obx on holiday for the summer. She met JJ and they started dating but they both knew it had to end at the end of the summer because she was going back to new Mexico. They were planning on phasing it out but they had to leave early so the relationship ended really abruptly. She was trying to tell JJ that she was going to be leaving the next morning but he was drunk and only found out when John b told him after he dropped Avery off at the dock. She comes back the next summer but this time she's moved permanently. Her mum died in a scuba accident, she had a dog named Dino or something and JJ was really mad at her because she left without telling him even though she tried to. Basically the obx plot as well and Kiara hates her as well. Oh, Kiara was having her kook year the year before so she'd never met Avery. Pope met her before everyone else when he was doing the grocery deliveries. Please help me find this fic it's my favourite
i think it was waves by -moncher on wp but she deleted it bc she no longer wanted to be associated with the obx fandom so she rewrote it and posted it on inkitt
