The Little Dipper Floats in endless space, Drowning in the stars around her. The Big Dipper protects her. Dipping into the blackness, scooping up the heavenly bodies that surround her. She is a configuration Of her own cosmic powers, And the man on the moon confounds her. But she will forever be swimming in his light. The Big Dipper and the Little Dipper Save one another Almost every night. And every now and then… Someone will eclipse the moon, Blocking his gaze from their faces, And they relish in the brief moment Of private peace. Keeping up each other’s paces, Intertwining into each other’s constellations… Hidden from the hands And demands of the man— on the moon. And the tables turn Like orbs in space. When they trade places. A role reversal As big and little spoon.

My 2018 expectations: Make my newly acquired BFA degree useful and sell some paintings (or figure out what I am doing with my life.) So I’ll just keep making art and believing in myself//see where that gets me. Another great expectation to have would be to see you in concert for a third time.
