Would you get a pet rat

“Did you miss the part where I said I wasn’t interested in taking in any animals? Because if you did, that’s okay, I haven’t really been paying attention to much of what I’m saying, either. But I’m not. It’d be kind of funny, though. Like having a homunculus.”

How do you celebrate your birthday?

“…I mean, I had cake and balloons stuff when I was a kid? It was pretty nice. Well, until one year when I got real sick after eating it, and they kind of ended up feeling more like an obligation the more of them I had. And I’ve never really liked celebrating them with other people, anyways. I always just did something small with my family at home, so it feels awkward trying to celebrate it with other people when they planned something for me. Like they didn’t really understand what I wanted, but I didn’t want to be a total diva about it, so I was kind of just going through the motions at my own party. And people can tell when you’re doing that, because everyone there is watching you like a hawk to make sure you’re happy enough for their standards. Which sounds awful for me to say, I guess, but it’s just weird to me.”

“Now that I think about it, I guess in more recent history, I had a friend try to host a surprise party for me one time. I canceled once I realized what it was, though I honestly should have been a little suspicious when they asked me when my birthday was and if I had plans then, I just wasn’t thinking too hard about it because I figured they needed me to do something or wanted to hang out that day since it had been a while since we really had. I felt awful about it, but I just ended up avoiding them for a bit afterwards. I didn’t really know how to explain any of that. I didn’t really know if I should, either? Especially not when they had gone so far out of their way for me? They saved me some cake once I “recovered” from the sickness I pretended I was dealing with while I thought about all that. I bit into at least three pieces of eggshell while I was eating it, and I think I only had one piece that I actually ate and didn’t end up getting rid of somehow while they were gone. Oh, yeah, that too, I don’t really like cake at all anymore, but there was no WAY I was going to reject that, too. I just ate one piece in full in front of them and then kept to a schedule of “eating” cake at reasonable intervals until it was gone, which I’m pretty sure they bought. I told them it was really sweet of them and the whole thing reminded me of home, even though I couldn’t be at the actual party. At least that seemed like it meant a lot to them, especially since they knew those were some of the happiest memories in my life. And I guess it was true in a way.”

“If you’re looking for her, good luck. She’s nowhere around here. At this point, she likely has another home, another name, a…”

“Fuck. Who am I kidding? I miss my cat. Okay? Is that what you wanted to hear? You couldn’t have just left it at a silly little joke? You had to make me say it? I just hope things worked out better for her than…well.”

What's your opinion on toaster strudels

“Probably the best thing to come out of going to hell. I- wait. Are toaster strudels a hell-specific thing? They taste like it. There’s something almost sinister about them. I don’t remember seeing toaster strudels when I was alive, either…? But they’re tasty!”

Favorite animal?

“Goose.”

“…not a goose, I fucking hate geese, but Goose.”

If you had to dye your hair a different color than it is now, what color would you choose?

“I’ve thought about red, so maybe that? I also think I might look pretty- ah, pretty cool with some of it blond, but I don’t know if I’d want it all blond…I don’t know though, just making it all another natural color like a different brown or black might be the safest option. I don’t really want to dye it a color I end up hating. Ooh, but imagine if it was purple and black…”

Did you ever go skydiving? Perhaps while bald?

“No, I’ve never been- did you say bald?? Like did I go skydiving while bald?? No, I’ve never been bald either, I’ve always had pretty thick hair, but stay safe out there if you have the bald gene I guess. Or at least have the decency not to try a comb-over. You’ll look twice as bald as you think you do, and three times as bald as you would be if you just shaved your head.”

Ok very serious question what do you think about shrimp..would it be funny to dump them on someone do you think. Like. If they got a question wrong on a game show.

“PffFF- hHEHhhhahahksh-ke-ck-h-hah-”

The idea made him laugh himself into a coughing fit, but once that had ended, he sighed, “That would have been funny. That would have been so…”

It seemed like he had a particular target or two in mind.

“…would I even fit on that thing? It might be kind of fun if so, but I’d really rather not try to sit on it and have it break, so uh…maybe not?”

Would you survive living out of a wet cardboard box

“Be more specific? Do I have any of the stuff I have now? Where is the box? How big is it? Is this after I died or while I was alive? Do I have to live in the box forever or can I move once I have the means?”

“One time a few years ago my boss sent me something with the thumbs-up emoji in it. I guess that one.”

Opinion on fedoras?

He can’t prove that this is a trick, but he’s not answering. Not after the fedora incident. He’s not being called an in-cell or whatever it was again. Not today.

What's your favorite color?

“Ooh! There were these crayons I used to like…one of them was a blue-ish green, and one of them was a green-ish blue…I don’t remember which one I ended up deciding I liked more, but they were both so pretty I used to stare at them as a kid. I got my crayons taken away when I took a bite out of one, though, so I didn’t see them again until I got tall enough to reach things on the high shelf.”

“Oh! I…don’t really keep extra medicine like that around, sorry. I hope your head feels better, though.”

Opinion on the color red

“It’s not my favorite, but if we’re just talking about like a solid block of it or something it’s better than orange or some of those sickly looking yellows as far as warm colors are concerned. I think I’m kind of desensitized to it because I see so much red around here. It’s kind of like the vibrant equivalent of beige to me now. I don’t hate it, there’s a lot of good applications for it, but also who cares? I like a lot of pinks, though, so I guess it gets a point there.”
