so i have a theory, if mickey and ian were colors mickey would be purple and ian blue.

mickey would be purple like the bruises he saw growing up but also purple like the lights of that club where kissed ian around people they didn't know and it felt like a first kiss. purple because it has blue under its skin, purple because it can be bright and loud with the right light. purple because it's intense and confident and it doesn't apologize for that. purple because it can pretend to be darker and hide. purple because red it's creeping in like the anger he felt once until the blue woke up.

and ian is blue like the sadness he had to carry, it's blue but it's not cold or distant. it's blue in a quiet way like the way he processes his feelings like a journey he walks alone while smiling and nodding when people asks if he's okay. blue in a peaceful way even if he doesn't think he can be peace, but he is. It's peaceful like a deep breath, like shoulders relaxing, like eyes softening its edges. blue like the sea in waves that announce a storm and the blue like a calmed sea. blue like mickey's eyes that were the first eyes that fell in love with him, blue like the warm feeling of knowing everything will be fine. blue like peace, blue like an early morning and darker blue like the summer nights he spent with mickey.
