I do have a LOT of headcanons about the Ranger Union in general and specifically in Paldea, see ranger lore links below.

Sapient pokemon are allowed. Legendaries are allowed, but Brandy will assume it's some human having a laugh. No magic anons, Pelipper mail is a go.

I've also been slowly establishing some canon around how the union and paradox pokemon work. If your blog or ask conflicts with this I may not interact. That being said, if you're unsure about interacting you can just reach out and ask. I'll be chill, I promise.

No terfs, aphobes, or exclusionists of any kind. Racist, bigoted, or plain cruel comments will be blocked on sight.

I am the tagtree thicket person yeah. I'm legally wedded to every tree in this forest. I'm also the mightyena person. And the drunk river person. Sometimes I'm even a ranger.

Those guys are just having boy time. Some so called "experts" would tell you that around this time of year these guys will descend to a lower elevation to incubate their eggs in the warmer biomes before bringing the hatchlings back up the mountain for the winter. But those guys just don't get it. It's really just Boy Time.

Found some native mushrooms the other day. Full video description under the cut c^^

The video starts with an overhead view of a woman- presumably Ishii- sitting in a puddle of mud, holding up a large round mushroom. It's yellowy-white with little dips around its surface, like the moon. Ishii, throughout this video, speaks in Sinnoh-Japanense; her accent is distantly reminiscent of the Clans from Hisui. For the sake of this description, her dialogue is translated into English.

"I found some Candy truffles today."

She spends the middle half of the video describing the mushroom on display. nestled in the ground against a tree. "Not actually candy! Not actually truffles, either. Candy Truffles are a, uh, a type of Puffball found across Sinnoh, basically wherever the fuck you can find mushrooms... They can get bigger than Dist, like this one... but you have to find them before they get big enough to spore and explode. Cause they'll fuckin' spore and explode on you."

"These mushrooms were used widely in, uh, old Hisui recipes... it was used as a binding and enhancing ingredient. When you cook it properly, it turns into a soft sort of gloopy glue that helps other ingredients stick together easier. Kind of like a dough... but without having to bake it. It gets nasty when you bake it."

The next shot is taken selfie-mode; Ishii, holding the mushroom, talking to the camera. "They're good as hell, though, especially if you like, uh, sweets... it takes like taffy? But more fluffy. She takes a bite of the mushroom mid-talking. When she's done, she covers the camera with the bitten mushroom, and the video ends.
