Rewatching the show again so I'll just share some passing thoughts: We know that Carl doesn't sleep (what he claims) & to see him napping in that basement is kinda sweet cuz as shitty as that place is, he managed to feel safe & comfortable enough to fall asleep. Since Akram takes notes in Arabic, I think it's really cool that you see him open his notebook up to the last few pages & he starts writing from there since Arabic is written from right to left. I think that one moment where Carl hears someone coming down to the basement & immediately calls out "Akram?" but it's Stephen Burns instead, is incredibly underrated. I think it's cute that Carl just assumes it would be Akram & no one else.
i have a day off and i am day drunk a still a little bit high and have had another Thought™ that borders on shitpost. because akram simply cannot lie for shit and i love that about him

I hope it gets properly acknowledged that he is the one who pushed for the reopening of Merritt's case in S2. I don't think we saw/heard anyone properly bringing it up but then again, Akram is way too humble to actually take credit.

I've always questioned why Akram doesn't just go behind Carl like the proper weight spotting position, why was his instict to straddle him? And he doesn't get off Carl immediately after either... I have so many questions & I fear I will not get any answers to. What a great first impression to your superior btw.
