kyungjae smiled at the girl as he moved away from her. he had to take a few deep breaths himself until he could finally feel that he was able to continue to move on with her this time he moved slow, even though it was against his better judgment he knew it would be safer for her. he didn’t mind though, he just decided to shut up and swim. it didn’t take much long for the two of them to get closer to the shore of the small island. he sighed finally standing up turning around, unhooking the line from himself to her. he was out of breath, it was a long swim. maybe tomorrow he’d call for a boat, but just maybe he did like spending that time with her. he pulled his bag off his chest and tossed it up into the sand. “oh man my legs hurts.” he said leaning down grabbing her hand pulling her up playfully. 

She enjoyed the easier swim as she was able to keep up, once making it to the land mass she couldn’t help but sigh. Hey body had grown tired, her muscles aching a bit. His words swam in her ears and she tried to pull herself up, laughing a bit once he pulled her up to stand. “Same here, I didn’t think it’d be that so hard.” A smile graced her lips as she reached for her bag digging through it. ‘You’re okay though right ? Didn’t pull a muscle, I’d hate to injure the star of Palm” She teased taking out a water bottle before taking a small swig.

The girl looked around trying to take in where they were and how’d they’d sleep there. ‘Hmm, not a five star hotel, but it’ll do.” A soft laugh fell passed her lips as she held out the bottle to him. “ Ready to set up camp ?”

Escapades | Open

Damien wasn’t one to fall in love so hard. He thought romance and love was a lie and a waste of time. It was easier to be un-involved or in a relationship that was on and off.  When he had a belief of love, Damien was 15 going on 16, just a mere teen with no ideas of what he wanted but already using that natural charm of his on teachers and friends to get his way.

Now though, Damien was 21, and already had more romances under his belt than most people would at his age. He was sitting at the bar in the club, scoping out potential dates and one night stands. The drink sat untouched in front of him and he hummed under his breath. That would have worked much better. However, out of  the corner of his eyes, he spotted a girl and made his way over to her. He was going to get the number.

Damien, however, found his path blocked and he looked annoyed for a second. “Yes?” he asked, annoyance in every inch of his body and voice.

Minah was the type to end up in a club - she hated the loud music the beat that pushed through her body and almost toppled her over if it wasn’t her friend’s birthday she wouldn’t even be here. However she did make it known she’d be the one to do the driving home and be the one to watch the other’s incase of creeps. It kept her off the dance floor and in a somewhat relax position near the bar.

The girl’s eyes quickly looked down at her watch, smiling slightly - maybe now they could leave. By the looks of it her friends were completely gone and Minah had gotten way too many pick up lines tossed at her. Standing up she began to walk towards her friends, stopping for a moment to track down all of them. In that moment she hadn’t realized that she had blocked the path of a male trying to make his way out to the dance floor.

The girl jumped slightly when she heard his voice, turning around, her cheeks flushed before she bowed. “S-sorry, I’m just looking for someone’ She bit the inside of her cheek. How embarrassing, well to her. This whole experience was overwhelming for Minah and here she was making it harder for other people to enjoy their night.

Smooth Talker

It was another day of filming and having fun, the all day recording finally lead him to the beach. Slowly one by one his friends left and he was on the beach by himself enjoying the night. But all good things had to come to an end, and he was about to head home until he saw a group of people. The scene played out in front of him, some girl was being approached by a man and she didn’t seem as if she wanted to talk to him. In that moment, he walked over with a friendly smile towards the pair.

“Hey, I’m sorry I took so long.” He got in front of the girl and who ever the girl guy. He threw an arm around the girl and turned to the dude. “I’m sorry, she’s taken. ” He gave a bow of his head and started to talk away with the girl. “Relax.” He muttered. “I’m just here to get you away from that creep.”

Fear shot through Minah’s heart once her eyes fell on yet another male. God- why did i have to be today. Maybe he could have been friends with this creep. She was about to start pushing him away when she got ear of his words. Making her slightly relax, he was trying to help her or so it seemed. A faint blush rose on her cheeks as she was pulled away from the creep, her eyes looking to her savoir trying to figure if she should be cautious of this male too. After a few moments the young woman found her voice and let out a sigh. Her body was too stiff and her voice reflected that.

“Thank you, really. I didn’t know what I was going to do.” She ran a hand through her tangled locks as if trying to calm herself down with playing with her own hair. “ Stupid tourist” The statement came out as a soft mumble as she looked down at the sand, not daring to look back at the male. She’d be more than content with never seeing him again. “I’m Minah by the way.”

Help Wanted

Now that she mentioned it – she never thought about that. She never thought about whether she could reach it or not. Her gaze looked up to the ceiling then back at the female, taking a good look at her ( or rather her height actually ). “I think i’m kind of a little taller than you so might as well try my luck.” her lips pursed into a thin line which soon turns into a soft smile, getting herself on top of the towered objects carefully ad soon after getting to where the other was earlier – she finally stood up straight to try and reach the lightbulb, gaze remained to the object – but to no luck – she couldn’t reach it either. However, it was just a few inches away from her grasp – it was almost touchable and she couldn’t help but to let out a frustration sigh. Her gazed averted – her eyes were now scanning the place, eyebrows furrowed. She was actually trying to find something that she could use to heighten the towered stuffs the other managed to make.

Her gaze now averted – directed to the owner of the house. “Do you mind getting me more things? I think i need more stuffs so i could reach this.“

She watched carefully, biting her lip she didn’t want the other to fall at all. More so not at her expense. Watching carefully she stood behind the other, hoping that the girl wouldn’t fall back. “Be careful please.” Her tone was soft as she watched, the girl try to reach. She hoped she could, a smile playing on her face which fell quickly as the other looked back down to her asking for more things. She did have other things, but she didn’t want the tower to get too unstable. Then her savoir would fall for sure. Thinking for a moment she tried to figure out a better solution. Maybe with their combined height they could reach. It was an idea - something new. Hopefully she wouldn’t be too uncomfortable with it, well she was she one who walked into her room so - she hopefully didn’t mind much. “ Why don’t you climb on my shoulders, that might work better. “ She nodded, hopefully that would work, if not maybe she could stand on one thing to boost the height a bit better.

kyungjae stopped at the sound of her voice. he was always one to over do it. he thought that maybe this was a bad idea for the two of them. he’d done it alone plenty of times. however he’d never done this with someone else. he forgot how dangerous it seemed to be for two people. but she wanted to stop, and so he did. he’d just have to trust the fact that he could help her if anything was going to go wrong.  he turned though moving back towards her, he lifted her slightly to cause him to move down a bit more so she could catch her breath. “you know, i can’t help it…if i lost you because i was careles and wanted to drag you out here.” he sighed softly, reaching forward he pushed her hair out of her face. “were almost there, you okay to go? if we go slower?” he asked his voice gentle. 

She frowned slightly at his words as she took in some air, spitting out the rest of the water that had entered her mouth as she tried to keep up with him. It was a sweet thought, and she knew he was trying to keep her safe. It was the nature of their relationship, they cared for each other after all they did grow up together. It was somewhat of a sibling relationship they shared.

Pushing his hands away so he wouldn’t float down she started to kick her feet. She didn’t like him worrying or over working himself to keep her safe. “You won’t lose me, I’m here and I’m fine. You dumbie” she teased, smiling a bit as he moved her hair from her face. “Lets go, but don’t go super swimmer on me.” She laughs sofly before she starts to swim at a more comfortable pace towards he land mass.

exactly. { ` he smirked to himself, mentally patting himself on the back for managing to get her to laugh a decent amount at his terrible attempt at humorous sarcasm. } —- { ` he shrugged his shoulders, moving his head from side-to-side to work out the kinks in his neck. } yeah, i would, but remember what they say: the customer’s always right. { ` cue the blatant eye roll as he swiftly locked the door behind them before returning back to strolling beside her. } i have no idea. tourists are crazy – why can’t they go annoy a different aquarium cafe, huh? palm did nothing wrong to them, i swear.

[ - shaking her head she let out a softly laugh, mentally calling him all the dorky names in the book. She found him a bit too much at times, but it was always fun around him. ] - [ - smiling she removed her hair from its bun, running he hands through it with a sigh, it was good to let loose after work, she always seemed slightly up-tight during her shift. Most likely due to the large mass of people. ] Well, at least we get paid for dealing with the dumb tourist. I wish we could put a sign up saying ‘ please chill out’ or ‘ cut the crap’. But you see how well they pay attention to the no running and don’t tap on the glass signs. [ - she shook her head ] Its like these people can’t read.

Smooth Talker

You could find the young girl one of two place - at work or at the beach. Currently, she sat along the seaside, enjoying the warm breeze dance through her hair. A smile played on her lips as he toes dug into the soft sand of the beach. It was normal for her to be alone - she enjoyed it . People weren’t her forte and often got scared when approached. However, the female was working on it and getting close to the goal of being comfortable. That goal was not completed today - As she looked around a guy caught her eye. He was looking at her from a small distance away and she didn’t know what to do. Part of her told her to ignore him and another told her to go home.

Ignoring seemed like the option and it didn’t seem. That ignoring turned into him approaching her slurring some stupid pick up lines at her. Dumb tourist, she thought as she tried to push herself away but he caught her hand, and tried to speak louder to her. Her mind was going crazy as she talked back a couple of ‘yeahs and uh huhs’ Hoping he’d let her go. She was so stiff and uncomfortable but he didn’t care. All he probably cared about was getting laid on this island, and she wasn’t the girl to do that. She hardly let anyone near her. “I’m Sorry, but I got to go.” She spoke sweetly - it was almost sicking to her as she tried to get up again, which earned yells from the male.

kyungjae smiled at the girl, at least she was being honest with him, he didn’t find himself particularly gross or anything. he looked good, he had a nice body that was for sure. however, he shook the topic out of his head as he took a few deep breaths. he was starting to get tired now. he turned around looking, noticing that the beach was in the distance now.  “no, i’m to worried for it to be training.” he breathed as stopped swimming for a moment trying to catch his breath. “i know, we should be there soon.” he said with a girl as he pulled her closer to him. he fixed his backpack a little and started to swim this time he was basically pulling her along. he figured the fast her got to the beach, the happier he would be.

She was slightly surprised once the male began to pull her, she tried to keep up but it was incredibly hard. The reason was well known to why he was trying to move faster - he wanted out of the ocean. Not for his own sake but for hers. It was a sweet thought and she was happy that he thought of her. However, she just wished he could slow down. He was pulling her along, making her body yell in slight protest as she tries to catch up. A frown played on her lips as she looked to him then the nearing land mass.

“KyungJae” She whined softly as she pushed herself against the water. “Do you have to go this fast ?” Her voice was slightly muffled from the water hitting her face, making her spit a bit at the salty taste.”I’ll be fine.”

kyungjae made a face mostly to himself knowing that she wasn’t going to bother looking at him while they were swimming. it didn’t seem right to him, he’d never been approached than again he’d never really approached anyone else either. he had kissed a girl, but that was a complete accident, and he wasn’t sure if he would repeat something like that  “i’m not sure i agree.” he said slowing down a little, more or less letting the waves carry him on the backslide. “and i have to worry about you, if i don’t worry who else will.” he said as he stopped swimming to move closer to her. “we should take a boat next time.” he teased as he grabbed her lifejacket pulling her a bit closer. 

“Well, agree or not. You are desired by many girls ‘ she laughs softly, speaking in a teasing tone. “ But not me, you’re gross.” Letting the waves roll her she could help but smile. She couldn’t remember the last time she felt so at piece with herself.  The ocean relaxed her so much that she could almost fall asleep where she swam.  The girl couldn’t help but smile as he spoke about worrying for her.

“Hmm, I guess, as long as I get to worry for you too. “ she spoke as her feet kicked the water. Now she thought he was right it would have been a bit less tiring and maybe a bit more fun. “ Maybe, but don’tt you feel like you’re getting your training in?“Smiles as she swims close to him, moving up to move the hair from her face. “Hey at least we’re getting closer.”

there’s no doubt in byul’s mind, that today has dragged. work has seemed never ending, and now that the time is drawing close, it feels as if the clock is moving slower because there’s just no one here. no one wants to have a drink or a light bite this late into the day, and so close to closing time, too. there’s no point in her being here. the tables are clean, everything has been restocked ready for tomorrow— what is the point of her being here? byul is convinced there isn’t one, but she can’t leave. not until clocking out. 

but what’s the point in sitting around waiting for nothing to happen? she only has to stay in the aquarium, right? so why not enjoy it? surprisingly, she hadn’t been around the aquarium itself all that much, simply getting to and from work, so there was no harm in taking a look around. though it’d be no fun on her own, would it? 

“excuse me?” she asks, tipping her head to the side as she wanders up to minah, looking equally as bored in byul’s opinion, but maybe she was imagining things, “I would really love a tour guide to show me around.” she hopes her coworker understands what she’s getting at; although byul has always had the impression that minah was someone equally up for a bit of fun. she’ll just have to wait and see.

Relaxing on a wall near the entrance Minah began to daydream. it almost looked as if the girl were asleep standing up. This was the part of the day she hated the most - it was boring and no one was around for her to do anything with. It was almost boring enough for her to beg the remaining few people if she could give them a tour. Sighing she ran a hand through her dark locks her eyes searching around, finding purchase on a girl walking towards her. A smile slowly turned on her face as she noticed the features as she came closer.

Minah wasn’t the one to talk to her co-workers but byul was different and interesting. It was easy to tell that she felt the same late night boredom that she felt. maybe together they could find a cure. “Yes, may I help you ?” She returned, tilting her head, debating on making a game out of it or not. A good laugh was what Minah needed to get over this boring stump that was end-shift. The girl was about to insert a joke when Byul make her suggestion. Making her laugh a bit. The tour guide thought for a moment, trying to figure what her next move would be.

“Hmm, sure. “Her voice came out in a small hum, before pushing herself off the wall and walking a bit towards the exhibits “I’ll give you the private tour.” She chuckles looking back at her co-worker, before motioning her to follow. Minah lead her towards the room that showcased the tropical fish, enjoying the space much more with no people inside of it. Usually it would be filled and Minah would avoid it at all cost buy giving information from outside on standing on the ledges.

kyungjae stopped quickly hearing her say something about being to handsome. “aye.” he said rolling his eyes, as he stopped swimming, reaching over he patted the top of her head. “no one finds me handsome its okay.” he said scrunching his nose at the thought. it was impossible, he didn’t really even see people like that. sure there were girls that he found attractive, minah being one of them but everyone was better as friends. plus he couldn’t give anyone the kind of attention the deserved considering he was trying to go pro with swimming and any distractions would ruin that.  the swimmer slowed down and got into a slight rhythm. he often forgot that she wasn’t as fast as him. despite the fact that she was a great swimmer in her own right. he was always pushing his body to hard. “are you okay?” he looked over after a few minutes. “was this a bad idea?” he asked feeling like something bad was going to happen to her, and he wasn’t sure he’d ever forgive himself if something did happen. 

The girl rolled his eyes at the comment, she found him handsome - and had for awhile. After spending so much time growing up with the male she at first found it weird to see him like that but after some time she couldn’t deny he was attractive. She guessed it happened over night. Letting out a laugh she shook her head, “ Just ask any girl on palm, I bet they’ll tell you different.’ It was true though - the swimming star, it seemed like most people had it out for him.

Grateful for the slow down, Minah slightly relaxed, not feeling as pressured to go faster. It wasn’t that she didn’t mind the challenge she just knew she’d become deadweight after some time. Which would be no good for both of them. A small smile graced her features as she heard his question. It was sweet that he was worried but she knew she could hold her own “Yeah I’m fine, don’t worry too much, okay ?”

Help Wanted

Days had become repetitive for Skye that it felt quite boring for her – doing the same thing over and over again everyday. Waking up, taking a bath, eating her breakfast, going to her shop until night time then going home. She was even too tired to do anything at all after work that she choose to rest and maybe sleep the entire night then she’ll wake up and do the same routine. Today, however, was different.

Eyebrows quirked at the sight of the female from outside, she seemed like she needed help. And so without even thinking twice – she stepped inside the female’s apartment, hoping the other wouldn’t mind Skye intruding her personal space – she just wanted to help after all. “You look like you needed help.” she said in a monotonous tone after she cleared her throat – as if wanting her presence to be known by the other. “I hope you don’t mind i um – the door was open and um – i just can’t help but to take a peak from the outside and you look like – you needed help so i stepped in.” she let out a soft chuckle, fingers scratching her nape out of embarrassment. She offered a hand for the other to hold. “Let me handle that..” a soft smile grazing her lips, eyes gazing at her.

A focus was on the light, as she didn’t want to break it or herself. Fingertips grazed the surface of the plastic fixture that surrounded the light. Her mind was so focused she hardly noticed the second person in the room until a voice filled her ears. The girl jumped slightly, almost losing her balance. A small yelp came from her mouth as she sank down to her knees on the tower of things.  This was really unsafe and she knew that. Her eyes turned to look at the female who had wandered into her apartment. Stupid window, she cursed in her mind. Maybe she could have just shut the door, but the burnt smell was too much to bear. “H-hello.” the tone of her voice was soft and quiet.

The girl stared down at the other’s hand, debating on if she should take it or not . After a moment, she slowly slide her hand into Skype’s nervously before hopping down her tower. She hadn’t accomplished anything but she knew something else would have to be done. “Thank you - but I don’t think you would be able to reach it either. “ A small laugh fell from her lips as she looked up “ it’s rather high “

For a minute, Doe didn’t say anything but then she nodded her head and turned to look back at out the water. “Thank you.” Not many times people came to her and expressed their interest in her music, she was pretty sure she was pretty much unknown. That didn’t bother her really, when she signed to the label she didn’t know what to expect but that part of life was over now. She’d push it out her mind and move on.

She did another once over the girl and raised a brow. “Are you a singer also?” Or was she a musician. Either way, it was good to find someone with similar interest as her. “Are you signed to a label?”

An awkward feeling flushed over the girl as she’d never talked to someone like this before. The girl had her dream - to sing on stage and produce music. Maybe Minah could learn from the girl, that is if Doe doesn’t mind a shy, quiet girl hanging around her. Chewing on her bottom lip she nodded at the girl’s question. “Yes I sing, learned how to from my father at a young age.” She smiled at the memory of sitting on her father’s lap learning how to play the guitar singing over the rainbow. It was her favorite song - a song she would most likely sing on stage if she got the chance.

“Um, no - I’ve never really performed before.” Her voice dipped down in volume as she finished her statement, feeling slightly embarrassed at the fact. How could she be a singer and not go on stage ?
