mav nodded his head with a soft smile, he loved her alot and he was very grateful she was still there for him. he wrapped his arms around her once more in a tight hug before he gestured towards the direction of sunnyside.
Paloma returned Mav’s embrace, elated to be in his arms again. She nodded and took hold of his hand when he gestured in the direction of his trailer. “Let’s go home.”

She shrugged. “Depends, what’s your price this time?” She asked curiously.

he’d stood motionless when he’d spotted her, breath seemingly caught in his throat. he hated the memories of her that plagued his thoughts when he saw her, hoping those thoughts would finally find their way into remission, but they never did. he hated her. and he was certainly not a person to so quickly come to such a harsh ideal of someone. but her, she’d betrayed him - hurt him. and frankly he wondered how she had the nerve to show her face around the whyte wyrm. ❝ looks like someone forgot we weren’t friends anymore. ❞ nic spoke up, keeping his eyes on his shoes rather than on her. it simply made things easier. ❝ then again, we weren’t every really friends to begin with, huh ? ❞
Paloma had been wandering around Serpent territory in search of Parker when she spotted Nic outside the Wyrm. A wave of guilt instantly came over her. What she’d done to him was terrible and completely inexcusable, even if she’d been manipulated herself. With a sigh she approached him, looking down herself as he spoke. “W-we were friends, or at least, I wanted us to be...”

that’s understandable and fine.” he agreed. Knowing the two’s complicated history it would seem a bit weird and raise some red flags rolling up to her boyfriend’s house. “lead the way.” he said, following behind her.
She nodded and exited the store, walking in the direction towards Mav’s trailer. “His place isn’t too far from here so you won’t have to worry about a long walk. I’ll let you know when to ditch.”

“nah, they just have goon shit to do tonight.” he joked. “I may give you a lot of shit but I also just wanna make sure you get home okay.” he said, trying not to sound all serious and sappy.
“Fine.” She agreed. “I’m actually staying with Mav right now though, so I’ll have to ditch you half way. I don’t want him getting the wrong idea.” She explained as she moved from behind the counter.

“Why now though? Don’t tell me those goons ditched you already.” She teased.

“ it’s fine.. p. i was playing. i didn’t have anything out. “ he assured her. his hand moved to brush against her cheek as she wiped her tears. “ please don’t cry. i’m fine. we’re fine. “ he nodded his head. biting his lower lip softly as she spoke. “ thank you.. “ he smiled at her.
She smiled at him, gripping the hand resting on her cheek. “Why are you the one comforting me? I should be the one comforting you.” She sniffled. “You don’t have to thank me. I just wanna keep you close after everything. That’s what I’m supposed to do.”

“fair enough, fair enough.” he said, putting his hands up in defeat. “damn. “ he exclaimed, shaking his head as she gathered her belongings. “at least let me walk you home or something.” he offered. “the police did say to not travel alone.”
Paloma slung her bag over her shoulder and crossed her arms. “And he wants to walk me home too? Now I know you’ve got something up your sleeve.” She replied in a mocking tone.

“And...that’s only because I’m trying to play nice. Wouldn’t want to anger a goon right?” She chimed sarcastically, peering over to the wall clock. “Looks like time’s up asshole. My shift is officially over.” She said as she began to gather her things.

She shook her head when she noticed him eyeing her. “It’s all fun and games until I leave you hanging by your dick right?”
