I just think that its a cultural difference. Great Britain's structure is completely different from Americans so it's not really our place (Americans) to say that it doesn't make sense because we don't have anything equivalent to compare it to.

Well I think we do. We have states. Its just an argument (hardly one) that's different to each place. Just like previously stated, I wouldn't get mad if people didn't know what state I was from so they just called me American. Just, ugh, don't fight me on this. I just don't get it. Same thing.
