when i was a child, fairies used to be all glitter and sparkles as i grew up watching and reading tons of stories about them being portrayed in a good light. but now that i've consumed various stuff about these creatures, i've come to fear them quite a bit; not in a way that i'm scared of them to death but more of like "they could do what? one must be careful".

#like they could trap you???#and i was late when i realized (around teenage years) that they're group with engkanto (fay/fairies/sprites/mystical beings) in filipino #so no wonder thay have that kind of lore too #hahahahahahaha #anyway both fairy versions with or without rose-colored glasses are interesting to me #on fairies #and well engkanto is known for being playful and doing things like this just for shits and giggles here in the philippines xd
