It's good to be back and I hope y'all are ready for the next rendition of Winter Wonderklok! Twelve days of Metalocalypse holiday magic and chaos leading up to Christmas. Feel free to create anything you like: words, pictures, music, random headcannons, a collaboration with a friend, anything goes!
As always, I encourage two things with my challenge. 1) if you don't feel like the prompt for a certain day, go ahead and do something else or skip it. Heck, there are some days on this list where I myself don't have anything in the chamber. You are more than welcome to make Wonderklok your own if you don't feel a spark with any prompt. 2) have fun and try something new. Not everyone celebrates Christmas. I challenge anyone to look into other holidays that occur during the same season and create something that inspired them. It's fun and that's how Twinkletits became Jewish in my universe. 'Try something new' applies to forms of expression too. Got some music ability? Try making a song. Been doodling with no art skills? Come up with a drawing for one day. This ain't serious! Get goofy with it.
And now, for some clarifications
What do you mean by ‘OC Special?’ (recycled from the 2023 post) I am an OC (original character) writer. Many of my friends are too. The few prompts that are labeled ‘OC special’ are meant to encourage use of OCs, interaction with other OCs and even creation of new OCs. I would love for people to take the opportunity to create someone or something new or try something they’ve been meaning to for a while. Challenge yourself! But if that isn’t your style, that’s okay too. If you do not want to use or make an OC, you’re more than welcome to use a canon character of choice instead.
What do you mean by 'White Elephant?' White Elephant is a gift exchange game similar to secret santa except you aren't assigned a person and you are able to steal a gift from someone if you like it enough. In my experience, this game gets WILD. I almost witnessed family members throw down over a FitBit. Just think of what Dethklok could be fighting over. I've included a video that demonstrates how it works for further reference
Where DID that mistletoe come from anyway? You don't know! I don't know! Nobody knows! Did you know that the Celtic Druids of the middle ages considered mistletoe a healing plant because of its ability to bloom in winter? And Norse mythology considers it a symbol of fertility and vitality along with love? Take that information as you will.
What do you mean by 'The Nutcracker?' Probably the most definitive Christmas ballet, it takes place on Christmas Eve in the dreamy imagination of the young protagonist, Clara, and her nutcracker doll. Tchaikovsky's music, the wide cast of characters and all the interpretations of the costumes and set dressings make for a world of opportunity for the day. Honestly it'll be a great refresher to look back on the ballet.

Merry Christmas eve from the Explosion household. This is a story I had in mind for a while but just never had the right time to write it. So I decided to use it here featuring one of my minor OCs, Lieutenant Vandy from Oscar's Navy days. He's featured in Rose's story, Inculpatory Evidence. Check it out after this!
This year I felt the need to draw despite my lack of skills (CLEARLY) I have no regrets. Sometimes you gotta get silly with it in a medium you know you're not good at. Featuring Toki as Clara and Murderface as the Rat King
