Alice actually adored that Pandora followed her on instagram. Alice adored each and everyone of her followers and tried to answer every time they commented. It was hard work, but she valued her platform. She wanted to use it for good, so didnât mind putting the effort in. âIt means a lot that you follow meâŠ.â Having friends with good follower counts helped her own follower count, and that made her happy. But, she also just simply adored being friends with Pandora, so it just made her happy.
âEverything has been going pretty well actuallyâŠ..â She murmured with a smile. âOr wellâŠ.. as welll as it can anywayâ She continued a few seconds later with a laugh. âIâve been on desk duty since my accident in December. It can be boring at times, but Iâm trying to find the positivesâ And she was learning a lot, and seeing a different side to the Aurory. She hated it sometimes, but it was going to benefit her in the long run. âHow have you been?â
âThat makes me excited tooâŠ..and happyâ Alice put on a confident front, but sometimes new things made her nervous. This was a whole new thing, and had the potential to go so wrong. But knowing Pandoraâs team were excited to work with her made it feel a little better. âThatâs so coolâŠ.. â And hearing that actually really made her feel part of the team, rather tan someone they were just putting in cross of the camera and getting to say lines.
âHmmâŠ..â Alice was quiet for a few moments as she thought about things. There was literally so much she wanted to teach kids, but she wanted to remain focus. âIâve always been really passionate about being who you are, and not changing for anyoneâŠ.â How she had seen herself had always had a huge impact on how positive she was, and she knew it was an important message sheâd want to get across. âBeing happy, and content with who you areâŠ.. is so vital to mental health, which is as important as physical healthâ
She paused for a few moments, and just smiled at Pandora. âMy parents were never happy with who I wanted to be, and I want kids to hear a message that itâs okay to be yourselfâŠ. even if others donât like it?â She felt like she was just blurting things out, but hopefully it would all come together and just work. âSoâŠ. maybe something along those lines?â
âWell, of course! Who else would get me to do my stretches in the morning!â Pandora laughed. There was an honesty and an openness about Alice, both in person and in her social media presence, that Pan really enjoyed. More people needed to see that spark, she felt.Â
âOh yes, quite the ordeal wasnât it? I hope you got my flowers!â Sheâd immediately gone online to get Alice something nice to cheer her up while she was in the hospital. She was on a tour for the foundation at the time, so she wasnât able to visit. âIâm sure desk duty is boring, but sometimes things that donât seem fun at all can turn out to be great opportunities! One door closes... and all that!âÂ
She looked over, as an employee approached them. âHello. Caramel latte for me, please.â She glanced over at Alice, âAnything you fancy? My treat.âÂ
âI think youâve got some great general ideas brewing,â she said, once theyâd given their orders to the waitress, âSelf-acceptance, and therefore better mental health, being an important factor in phyisical health- I like it! Inclusivity of all bodies and backgrounds. We can totally work with that.âÂ
Pan leaned over to pull a notebook from her bag, jotting down the idea. âFair warning, things like this often have to be dumbed down a little bit, especially if you want to present them to a large audience.â It was a hard lesson to learn if you didnât expect it, so she wanted Alice to be prepared for it.Â
